2018 SNIP Grant Open 01/03/2018 By Kate Mudge Pet Haven is proud to announce the opening of our 2018 Spay-Neuter Initiative Program (SNIP) Grant cycle. Applications will be accepted through January 31st, 2018. Finalists will be notified by March 1st, 2018. Since 2005, Pet Haven has provided more than $220,000 in grant funding to Minnesota-based animal welfare organizations focusing their efforts on reducing the number of unwanted dogs and cats. More than 5.000 animals have been altered through this grant. By reducing pet overpopulation we can improve the lives of dogs and cats and strengthen the bond between pets and their people. This year, Pet Haven is focusing our grant awards on supporting organizations focusing on transformational change. Preference will be given to groups who are creating innovative partnerships and going above and beyond spay/neuter efforts. We encourage applicants to read about the Humane Society of the United State’s Pets For Life program~ a program which comprehensively addresses the lack of affordable pet care in under-served communities.
