In remembrance of Penny 11/21/2016 By Kate Mudge “Remember there is no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.” – Scott Adams In August of this year we received a phone call from partner shelter, Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue. They had a 16 year old pit bull surrendered and they needed to find placement for her. Clearly, the shelter was no home for such a sweet, amazing dog. We found a foster home and brought her down. However, we noticed a few weeks ago that this sweet girl, named Penny, had some medical issues that presented themselves in the form of seizures. As we waited to see how this played out and what medical diagnosis we could get for her issues, her condition worsened. At the advice of our veterinary partners and in the arms of her amazing foster mom Allyson, today we had to let sweet Penny find her place at the Rainbow Bridge. Included are some photos of our sweet girl from PETS by Angela Boone Photography several weeks ago; we could not be more proud to show off such a beautiful dog who deserved more than what she got. All we can say is that we are thankful she passed away in peace and dignity, surrounded by love. RIP Penny; heaven gained one BEAUTIFUL angel today.
