Rescue On, Minnesota! 03/22/2018 By Kate Mudge What happens when a rescue community comes together? We create change for good, that’s what. Yesterday we learned of a local 16-year-old cocker spaniel who had been found as a stray. She was able to secure foster-to-adopt placement with a different rescue organization, but couldn’t leave the impound for a couple days. Sam, a Pet Haven volunteer and licensed groomer, couldn’t let this ‘ol gal sit in what was clearly misery. So tonight Sam spent an hour of her time at the impound facility, giving this sweet senior pup the first grooming session she’s had in quite a while. We are so darn proud to be part of such an amazing community of rescues who bend over backward for the families and animals we support, and we love when we get the opportunity to join forces with other rescues and affect change. We are also so proud to have such a strong and supportive network of volunteers who – above all – put the animals first. Rescue on, Minnesota.
