Foster Cat Bio

Writing your foster cat's biography:

A positive bio for an adoptive pet is crucial because it highlights the animal's best qualities, making them more appealing to potential adopters and increasing their chances of finding a loving home faster; this can include showcasing their playful nature, affectionate behavior, trainability, and overall positive temperament, while minimizing any potential concerns about their past or current situation

Example positive bio elements:

  • Focus on positive traits: "A sweet and gentle lovebug who loves snuggly laps and cuddling on the couch."
  • Highlight unique personality aspects: "A playful kitten with a contagious enthusiasm for wand toys and feathers."
  • Emphasize adaptability: "A well-adjusted cat who thrives in both quiet and active environments."
  • Mention specific interests: "A professional work-from-home supervisor with an affinity for sitting on keyboards and following the cursor movements"
  • Describe their ideal home: "Perfect for a family with young children who are looking for a family pet to grow up with."

Once you submit the biography:

The submitted biography information for your foster cat will go to our Cat Biography Team who will create and post your foster cat's biography to PetFinder, Adopt-a-Pet and the Pet Haven website. If you have updates after the template has been completed, please email them to cats@pethavenmn.org. Once your foster cat's adoption profile has been posted, you will receive a confirmation email.

Please note that if you are considering adopting your foster cat, please send an email to your foster mentor and cats@pethavenmn.org before filling out this form.
