Luna is the epitome of a loyal, gentle, and protective companion. She forms deep bonds with her family, making her the perfect guardian. While she can be a bit wary of strangers, especially in her home, Luna is working with a professional trainer to be more comfortable with new people and she is making amazing progress. With continued training, love and support, she’ll keep growing and learning to be more comfortable with unfamiliar faces and places! Fully house-trained, Luna knows exactly when it’s time to go outside, signaling by lying down or heading to the back door. She’s also crate-trained, viewing her crate as a safe and relaxing haven. Luna enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along well with her foster family's resident pup. She’s friendly with neighbor dogs too, though her interactions are mainly through the fence. Currently, she lives with two teenage girls and does wonderfully with them. However, because of her cautious nature around strangers, Luna might be best suited to a home without small children. She’s also not compatible with cats. Even though Luna is alert to people outside, she's unbothered by typical house or neighborhood sounds, making her well-suited for homes with shared walls. A fenced yard is a must for Luna—she will need plenty of room to run safely! Luna would thrive in a quieter home where visitors are infrequent. It's probable that I had a lot of puppies in my past. I was picked up by animal control and stayed in the shelter for a month before going to a Pet Haven foster home where I could thrive. Due to my past, I'm a bit timid at first but I warm up quickly with a gentle approach! I know how to sit at food time and do well in a crate for the most part! Because of my size and playful nature, I would do best in a home with older kids. I love human kids but I want to be your one and only fur-child! I'm a very, very sweet lover girl who just wants to be your favorite companion and best buddy!

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend.. And you better have a lot of them. To sell. To pay for her vet care. Haha! Just kidding! *looks around* Kind of.. Cleo has a condition called protein-losing enteropathy (PLE) caused by irritable bowel disease. She loses proteins from her bloodstream into her GI tract faster than her body can replenish them and her medical management helps regulate this condition. Cleo's daily life is unaffected by this and she does your everyday dog things. The only addition is giving her medication (pills) with her morning and evening meals which she takes without problem. Still interested? Then you're ready to hear our secret.. ---- Cleo is a GEM. A truly one-of-a-kind companion. So without further ado, here's what you need to know about Cleo! Extremely smart. Eats her own poop. In a glass-half-full kind of world, you could consider her a self-poop picker-upper. (But really, you are going to have to go out in those subzero temps and pick up her poop before she does.) In all seriousness, she is one of the best potty-trained dogs we have ever had. And she understands cues so quickly. She even knows sit, shake, high five, and can catch her food mid-air! Farts can clear a room. They just get stronger. Rootin' Tootin' Cleo should be in the Guinness Book of Records or something. Teeters on being the fun police. Still fun. Cleo coexists with dogs big and small but can sometimes be a playtime hall monitor. That said, if she finds the right dog with the right playstyle, she has a good time playing chase and wrestling! Loves tug o' war. Hates fetch. If you throw her toy, she's going to look at you like what are you even doing. On a scale of one to barky, she's about a five. While Cleo doesn't bark all day long, she is going to warn you about car doors slamming, people talking, the general goings on of the world. And her bark be loud so shared walls may not be the best fit for her. She stops with some guidance pretty quickly.. usually.. sometimes.. Loves food. Hates sharing. Cleo's favorite times of the day are, hands down, breakfast and dinner. And she's got that only child syndrome (I can say that, I'm an only child) where everything is hers. Her food. Her toys. Your food. All hers. And she will tell anyone who needs to know. Cleo doesn't currently live with cats but has in the past and takes it in stride. As long as she's the center of attention, that's all she really needs. Supposedly a Chihuahua/Pug mix. Definitely just as needy. Pug parents, am I right? Cleo will climb on your lap, push her way to your hands, and really doesn't care if she's stepping on another dog to get to the top. We mean that figuratively. Well.. except for those times when she's literally walking over a dog to get to you. Likes to give kisses. Licks everything. Literally everything.. the couch, the floor, the carpet, the coffee table, your clothes, and your face. Cleo is great with kids of all ages but it's probably best that she live in a home with teens or no kids on account of how much she loves food. Because she has PLE, Cleo needs to be on a restricted diet and can't be catching scraps or snagging food from those little hands. Because she would. She totally would. This girl's personality is a great balance of play and chill, and she walks so well on a leash.. when it's actually warm out.. A lap dog through and through, Cleo wants to be snuggled in with you, often under a blanket (Chihuahua parents, you get it). She's content to snooze on the couch or a dog bed when you're gone and she can fit into any social situation. Cleo is one of the best dogs out there and whoever has the privilege of adopting her is going to know love (and toots) beyond measure!

Penny is fully potty trained and crate trained, finding comfort in her crate at night and when home alone. She enjoys two short walks a day (15-20 minutes each) but thrives with extra playtime, like fetch or tug of war, to burn off some energy. She isn’t overly vocal—she rarely barks unless she spots a critter or a stranger near the house. Penny is a total sweetheart and absolutely adores people. She hasn’t been around kids yet, so a proper introduction will be needed. She also cannot live with other dogs or cats in the home. Energy-wise, Penny is moderately active. She loves squeaky toys, rope toys for tug of war, and chasing after tennis balls. One of her cutest quirks is her head tilt when you talk to her—she seems to be trying to understand every word. She’s also incredibly observant and will intently watch you cook or clean as if she’s studying the process! Penny is a smart, loving, and resilient dog who is eager to keep learning. Eddie loves standing on his hind legs to watch the world through the window or gently grabbing your hand with his paw just to keep you close. He loves chew toys, tug-of-war, and most of all, your attention. He usually has at least two walks a day and some active play like tug-of-war or zoomies around the yard. His leash manners are still a work in progress, so his future family should give some extra training to help guide him. This young pup is house-trained (minus a couple of accidents) and crate-trained. He does well in his crate for extended periods, settling in after a few minutes. He would prefer a home where someone is around often. Loud noises and unfamiliar people can spook him, but with patience and routine, he’s learning to feel more confident. Izzy is fully house-trained and has done very well staying home alone without accidents. While she was once crate-trained, she now strongly prefers the comfort of her own room with a cozy bed and some space to herself. Though she was at first very fearful in her new foster home, she now carries things like shoes to different rooms—not to chew, just to be near something that smells like her people. Izzy enjoys being around her humans and often follows them from room to room, though she is perfectly content snoozing nearby. While Izzy is not a fan of cuddling or being close to people’s faces, she absolutely loves being petted—especially head scratches—and knows how to sit, lay down, and shake when treats are involved. Though she’s a low-energy dog overall, Izzy LOVES to hear “Want to go on a walk?” She can pull a bit on the leash at first, but she settles into a nice rhythm. She also loves chasing tennis balls and exploring outside, making a fenced yard an ideal setup for her. Izzy has a strong prey drive and will require a home without other dogs or cats. It didn't take long for Diamond to adjust to her new foster home, so after a few days, she was the happiest dog on earth! Diamond is fully house-trained and she does great in her crate—especially when there’s a treat (or cheese) involved. She rarely barks, is comfortable being left alone for extended periods, and is generally very well-behaved in the home. Just be careful around the vaccuum... she'll try to chomp it! Diamond has moderate energy. She would be fine with short walks each day and some playtime, but would love longer walks. On walks, whenever Diamond passes someone she slows down looking for love and pets, oftentimes turning long walks into even longer ones. Now that she has gained back her health, she is energetic and always looking for love and attention. Diamond takes medication twice a day for hypothyroidism and has some dry skin, but neither slows her down. Though not yet fully house-trained, Irie is getting the hang of using pee pads and responds well to gentle corrections. She is crate-trained and enjoys relaxing in her crate but prefers to be near people—she’s happiest with company and doesn't like being left outside alone. Indoors, she’s mostly respectful, only testing boundaries a few times (a single counter surf and a keen interest in wooden furniture) but always stops when corrected. Irie hasn’t lived with other dogs, cats, or children, but she’s shown calm curiosity when seeing other dogs and has ignored cats at the vet office. Her gentle demeanor suggests she could potentially get along well with others in the right home. She’s a high-energy pup who loves tug-of-war, chew toys, and rolling around for belly rubs. Occasionally she gets the zoomies or can be a little mouthy, but it’s typical puppy behavior—and she’s learning fast! Living with two resident dogs, Spec fits in seamlessly—he's wonderfully passive, respectful of cues, and just wants to be everyone's friend. He’s also feline-approved, having peacefully lived with a cat in the past and passed his cat test with flying colors at Pet Haven. Spec’s favorite things include snuggling into piles of floofy blankets and soft pillows (fair warning: he will steal them all), finding the perfect sunny patch of grass to lounge in, and enjoying short, leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. He’s a big fan of couch cuddles and welcomes endless pets and ear scratches. As for treats, Spec has excellent taste—string cheese and small bits of peanut butter are his top-tier favorites. Spec is house trained and does great with having a room of his own while you're away, but he's not crate trained—and he’s made it clear he prefers it that way. He’s navigating some separation anxiety after the big change of losing his lifelong home, so he cannot live in a home with shared walls (no apartments/townhomes). As a senior pup, Spec does have some arthritis in his back legs and takes a daily pill to keep him comfortable. Spec presented with masses on his mouth and lips, which were partially debulked prior to entering our care. These masses have been diagnosed as cancerous but are currently localized to the oral region. Complete surgical removal would require partial jaw resection. Due to Spec’s age and the invasiveness of the procedure, Pet Haven has opted not to pursue this course of treatment. In light of these factors, Spec is being placed as a hospice adoption for a family to love and care for him as he lives out his golden years! Gertie likes treat puzzles but really does not play with toys much. She's a very low-energy dog, so she doesn’t seek out play much but may occasionally join in. Gertie is gentle with kids and friendly around other dogs, though she doesn't have experience with cats. A proper introduction would be recommended. Gertie did not take long to adjust to her new foster home, and has been respectful in the home. While she’s crate-trained, Gertie doesn’t love it—she prefers being out and near her humans. She does fine left alone in the home for short periods, though she may have an accident if left too long. House training is still a work in progress, with 1–2 accidents a day, so her forever family should be ready to continue helping her build good potty habits. Gertie has some typical bully-breed quirks—she needs to avoid strenuous activity, be kept cool in warm weather, and do best in a home without many stairs. She eats only wet food and is currently being treated for minor skin and paw conditions. She’ll need ongoing care for her skin and a dental cleaning down the line. He’s crate-trained and doing great with potty training, often heading toward the door when nature calls. Like any puppy, he still needs supervision to keep from chewing things he shouldn’t, but he’s very attentive and highly food-motivated, making training a breeze. He recently had surgery to help with breathing (stenotic nares and soft palate) and is recovering wonderfully. We’re currently exploring possible allergies—removing chicken from his diet seems to be helping! Andre loves toys, puppy bones, car rides, and splashing in a kiddie pool. He’s got a playful energy but also LOVES to nap. He sleeps in bed at night (as he believes is his right), and doesn’t bark or whine when left alone. He’d thrive with a playful dog companion or a human who’s home often. Nicknamed Andre the Giant or Andre Wilbur (for his adorable piggy snorts), this sweet boy is on his way to becoming the perfect companion. This mellow little man already knows "sit," and when he wants attention, he’ll quietly plant himself at your feet and look up at you with his big, hopeful eyes. He is almost potty trained (90%) and sleeps through the night in a crate, so he's learning quickly! He's wonderful with kids (he’s already given lap kisses to a visiting toddler) and respectful of other dogs. Asher would do great with a dog sibling, but he’s also the kind of pup who will be happy simply being by your side—whether that’s curled up next to you on the couch or following you around the house like your shadow. He has not been tested with cats. Asher came into rescue at 4 weeks old after his mama struggled to care for her litter as a stray. But thanks to his foster home and a few good role models (both human and dog), he’s blossomed into a confident, kind-hearted pup who's ready for a forever family of his own. Aspen adores playing chase, tug-of-war, and hunting for the perfect stick in the backyard (before her foster mom catches her). She has no fear and will zoom around the yard to launch herself into the air and off of the deck as fast as she can. She's fast and fearless! With Aspen, you can literally see the wheels turning behind her eyes while she’s working out how to conquer her next challenge. She is picking up potty training very quickly (about 90%) now that she can go outside. She currently sleeps through the night with her brothers in an enclosed crate without making a peep! She is ready to meet any dog who will give her the time for a good sniff. She would benefit from a resident dog to learn from as she grows, but is not a requirement. She has not been tested with cats, so a proper introduction is recommended. She’s been great with people of all ages—just note she’s still in her “baby shark” phase, so playtime with littles should be supervised. Aspen is playful and vocal during games, but quiet and content when it’s crate or nap time. This tiny-but-mighty boy is the ultimate explorer—hence the name Atlas! He’s especially fond of playtime with rolling toys and has a playful little growl that friends say sounds just like baby Simba. He’s got a high energy level and will thrive in a home with plenty of activity, toys, and interaction. A fenced yard isn’t required, but it would be a big plus for this zoomie king. Atlas has been working on potty training and is picking it up so quickly! He's a quick learner, so he's also used to sleeping in a crate at night with his siblings. He is always the first of his siblings to approach a new dog, all tail wags and ready to say hi! He would LOVE to have a doggy sibling in his forever home, but this is not required. As a typical puppy, he can be pretty mouthy so he may need some redirection when playing with kids and he responds well. He has not been tested with cats. Eska is adventurous, playful, and growing braver by the day. She loves exploring the yard, watching her humans in the pool, playing with all the toys and joining in puppy wrestling matches—especially if it means a surprise tackle! Eska will need a fenced yard in her future home to meet her enrichment needs. When she’s ready to rest, she’ll seek out a cool, comfy spot to cuddle up or stretch out in peace. The puppies adjusted relatively quickly to their new foster home. Currently pen-trained and working on potty training, Eska uses pee pads indoors and does her business outdoors when given the chance. She’s used to being crated for car rides and goes in and out of open crates at home. She's generally peaceful, but she has found her voice and will use it for the occasional howl. Because of this, she cannot live in a home with shared walls (no apartments/townhomes). She’s playful with other dogs and enjoys the company of dog-savvy kids.
