Kitten Disclaimer

We at Pet Haven advocate for kittens under the age of 16 weeks to go into an adoptive home with another kitten, or another resident cat or dog. We see many behavior issues arise from kittens raised without appropriate feline interaction, and we want to help avoid this outcome with this suggestion. We only want to set you and the kitten up for success! We want to prepare you for behaviors you will almost certainly see and have only the kittens’ best interest at heart, and your satisfaction as a pet parent. We are happy to chat about what kittens need and how to help you be a successful kitten parent!

His whole being radiates a pure, wild sweetness, flitting through night woods with little melodious cries, on some cryptic errand. There is also an aura of doom and sadness about this trusting little creature. He has been abandoned many times over the centuries." -  William S. Burroughs, author of The Cat Inside.

Yuumi, Female
Domestic Shorthair, 7 yrs
Yuumi is a 7-year-old, playful goofball looking for her forever home! She’s full of personality and affection, always wanting to be by your side.
While she enjoys her cat naps, Yuumi also has bursts of energy and loves to play. She'll happily chase after catnip toys and feather wands, claim the best window seat to watch squirrels and passing cars, and is also a skilled mouser. If she doesn’t get enough playtime, she might turn your feet into her next target! Once you become her person, she’ll spend many nights cuddled up next to you. Just be sure to keep an eye on your dinner plate—Yuumi is a sneaky food thief. Yuumi was found in a snowbank with severe frostbite, leading to nerve damage and her tail amputation. She has spent over a year recovering and adjusting to medications, proving to be one of the strongest, most resilient cats out there. She takes her meds like a champ and will shower you with love in return for your care. She is also slightly overweight and would benefit from a home where she can stay active. She thrives in a home where her humans are around often. When making friends, she also does well with older children (12+) who can respect her boundaries, as she can get overstimulated at times. Yuumi does not get along well with other cats and prefers to be the only cat in the home. If you’re looking for a spunky, loving, and playful companion who has overcome the odds, Yummi is ready to snuggle up to you! - - - - -- - - - There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal’s history is unknown. and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption. Snoopy (FIV+), Male
Domestic Shorthair, 1-2 years old
Snoopy is a 1-1/2-year-old, playful and snuggly kitty looking for his forever home! This sweet guy is very dog-like, in that he prefers to spend time with the people who care for him and will find his own private space to hunker down when faced with the unknown.
He is a short and stocky little guy who loves cat nip toys and springs! He enjoys following you around and loves to sprawl all over you. This handsome fellow enjoys cat tunnels and cat towers and is always ready to savor some window time in the sun. Snoopy is pretty chill. He plays for a while and then wants to just be on you, getting all the attention and keeping you company. He currently lives with one adult and my 14-year-old son in a house; he has his own space where he is kept separate from the resident cats. Snoopy doesn’t like to be alone, so would thrive with a forever human who works from home or is retired. He needs to be the only cat and live in a calm, quieter house. Snoopy only takes a short time to trust, provided his people can help him feel secure and confident in his new home. If you’d like to give this adorable boy the relaxed safe haven he is seeking, please consider adding Snoopy to your family. Snoopy is also FIV+, but that doesn’t mean he can’t live a long, normal, and healthy life! Cats with FIV commonly have average lifespans. Because FIV is spread only through deep bite wounds, FIV positive cats are able to live with FIV negative cats in stable social environments. You can read more about FIV here: https://tinyurl.com/58sf9wtj ----- Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Scrabble (Special Needs) Female
Domestic Longhair, 4 year old
Scrabble is a sweet, four-and-a-half-year-old girl with main character energy, looking for her forever home! This stripey gal is fearless and outgoing from the first time she meets you.
She isn’t much of a cuddler but likes to be near people—she often likes to sit on the couch or the floor near you while you watch TV, but she’s not typically going to get in your lap. Scrabble goes nuts for almost any kind of toy but particularly loves balls or springs to bat around on the ground. She is super happy to entertain herself with her toys or birdwatching out the window; she also loves giving herself a manicure by scratching, so it’s a good idea to have a couple of scratching posts or pads around the house for her. Scrabble can be a bit mouthy when she is in the middle of playing, similar to the way kittens can be a bit nippy—it's not malicious and does not hurt. She can easily be gently redirected with a new toy or activity. Scrabble loves food both wet and dry; she might benefit from something like an automatic or timed feeder, so she doesn’t bug her humans too much when she is hungry. Besides at mealtime, she is a very tidy kitty and takes very good care of her long soft fur; her forever humans will need to brush her regularly to help her keep her lovely coat in tip-top shape. Scrabble uses the litter box very well. This pretty girl truly enjoys being in the mix of household activities. She is fairly high energy for an adult cat and is always happy to play. Scrabble lives with two adults in a quiet home with no other animals. Previously she lived with other cats and her high energy could be off-putting to them (she loved playing amped-up, kitten-like games of chase, and they weren’t always into it). Because of this, Scrabble would likely do best life as a solo kitty; however, she’s never tried living with a dog. She is very outgoing and will do well in a variety of households, as long as her people either work from home or are are around a lot to give her the affection she seeks. Since she can get a bit nippy when playing, she may not be the best fit for young kids. She would be better suited to cat-savvy older children/tweens/teens. This energetic, adorable gal is so ready to live the good life in a cozy, loving home that can support her vibrant personality and give her the care, attention and company she enjoys. After all, who doesn’t love a good game of Scrabble?

Geri, Female
Domestic Shorthair, 6 years
Geri is a beautiful, nearly-8-year-old, silvery-gray lady looking for her forever home! Geri was one of four girls born to a feral momma in an enclosed porch of an old home. The elderly man who lived in the home brought all four of the girls into his large home and they had the run of the place.
For 7-1⁄2 years, Gerri and her sisters lived very independently in the big house until her owner moved to a nursing home. When this beauty came into foster care, she was so matted it wasn’t possible to pet her except on the top of her head. Once shaved, she was so much more comfortable. Her initial veterinary appointment showed mouth inflammation, and she was scheduled for a dental consult and was diagnosed with stomatitis requiring 15 of her teeth be removed. She does wonderfully with just a few teeth -- enjoying both dry cat food and her much loved Fancy Feast Savory Centers wet food. Geri enjoys human attention but is also independent and although brought up with three littermates, she doesn’t interact with them much. She prefers to lay in the sun for her naps or sit at the top of the cat tree and watch the birds and squirrels for some “me time.” Even though she is now a mature lady, she still has her “zoomie” moments – chasing after and playing with small toys. She likes to be brushed on her head and back and is slowly getting used to being brushed on her chest and stomach – key spots to stay on top of, since that is where any matting is prone to start. Her foster has trimmed her nails, and although it is not Geri’s favorite things, she does tolerate it. Her forever humans should be committed to helping her keep her beautiful coat looking its best. Geri likes human interaction and will sit on your lap – especially when you are sitting at the computer. When she has had enough interaction, she will give a small grunt and jump down. This pretty girl currently lives with her 3 siblings but doesn't interact with them very much. She would do great in a home with humans who work from home or are around a lot, and who are okay with a cat sitting on their lap when at the computer or when watching TV. Although she has enjoyed pets from a respectful six-year-old child, Geri would probably prefer a home with older, more mature children and no other pets. A cat tree by a window would be incredibly welcome – she loves to sleep at the top. This beautiful lady has been through some upheavals and is so ready to live a cozy, loving life with her forever humans. If you’re looking for a gentle companion to while away the days with this summer, Geri is your girl!

Simon, Male
Domestic Shorthair, 2 years
Simon is a 2-year-old, snuggly house panther looking for his forever home. This handsome fellow loves sitting on the highest level of his cat tower, playing with his kitty treat puzzles, and chasing spring toys through the house. When he wants some attention, he comes over to chat with his small meows and will nudge you for pets.
Simon is moderately energetic. He enjoys lounging and hasn't had a lot of zoomies at his foster home but can be quite acrobatic when he wants to investigate a new space. This sleek boy is currently being fostered in a house with 1 adult, 2 children (ages 6 and13) and 2 resident cats. He loves the attention he receives from his humans but is a little more wary of his feline companions. High-energy animals seem to stress him out, so older, chill kitty friends might be best. (He hasn’t met a dog yet.) Simon does great with gentle kids of all ages. This guy loves his people! He'd enjoy living in a home with multiple people to love him or a solo person who works from home/is around a lot to give him the attention he craves. Simon says: “I am a smart and curious little (big) guy. I love attention but am also happy to entertain myself with enriching toys and pet puzzles for treats. Because I am such a smart fellow, I will depend on my person/people to keep my toy selection fresh and interesting, so I don't have to discover my own mysteries to solve.”

Muffin, Female
Domestic Shorthair, 11 months
Muffin is an 11-month-old, sweet little cat looking for a family to love forever. This beautiful stripey girl is a tan and brown tabby with the classic black stripes. She has curved ears instead of the typical points.
Muffin is extremely friendly, playful, and yet still independent. She's always the first to the door to welcome her foster family home from work and follows them throughout the house in her eagerness to be nearby. That said, she has no problem keeping herself occupied. She often can be found chasing toy mice across the floor or curled up by a window to watch the birds. She doesn't mind being held or smooched, and loves to be pet, especially between her shoulder blades and behind her ears. She gets along great with her foster families forever cats, and has interest in playing with children, provided they're respectful towards her. Muffin is always ready to play! She very much still has kitten energy, though she's nearing a year old. She likes every toy she's met, but has a special affinity for fabric mice, feather wands, and laser pointers. She also uses the litter box like a champ. This lovely princess has, so far, been a very discerning gourmet. She has turned down all dry food and most wet food. She loves Friskies with gravy, but that's the only regularly reliable food right now. This sweet girl is currently living in Minneapolis with a foster family. Her foster family has two cats, the younger of which Muffin spends a fair amount of time with. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids come by to say hi, so Muffin has had some interaction with children aged 3 and 5, all of which went well. She hasn’t met any canine pals yet. Muffin’s ideal home would be somewhere she will get a lot of attention. She needs to be around people regularly and must have interactive play sessions a minimum of once a day. This beauty will thrive with someone who will work with her to find foods she enjoys. Importantly, she needs someone who will patiently wait as she continues down her journey of realizing she is, indeed, a lap cat! Muffin is basically purrfect! She is friendly, sweet, patient, incredibly soft, and so adorable. If you're thinking about adopting her, don't wait! She'll either get scooped up by someone else, or her foster family will finally have their first foster failure and keep her forever. She is a truly special little girl!!

Gary, Male
Domestic Shorthair, 3 years
Gary is a handsome, talkative, 3-year-old house panther looking for his forever home! This guy is a really good-looking, sweet guy who loves his people once he has the chance to warm up and adjust to his surroundings.
He is an enthusiastic lap cat, placing his full body on your belly to get ear and chin rubs while purring away; he will also head-butt your legs anytime you walk by. Gary's favorite activities are to chase his mouse toys and watch Cat TV on Youtube -- even better if you play with his mouse with him and share the couch or bed with him while he's watching his television programs, lol! Gary is also quite a chatty guy. He's sure to make his opinion known via meows, chatters, and grumbles. This handsome fellow is medium-active; he likes to play with toys but never goes full ""zoomie"" mode An ideal home for Gary is somewhere he can thrive with routine. Before he came to me, Gary was in an unstable living situation where his owner couldn't always afford food or litter. Because of this, Gary gets nervous when his routine isn't followed because he's used to a life in which he doesn't know if he's going to get his next meal or if he'll have somewhere to relieve himself. The perfect home for Gary would be able to stick to a routine that helps him feel comfortable and safe, with two nutritious meals a day and a cleanly scooped box. This lovely boy would thrive in a place where his humans treasure playtime and snuggle time at the end of the day. I think Gary could do okay with an owner that works outside of the home, as long as he gets his regularly scheduled evening snuggles. However, if you work from home or are around a lot—even better! Gary also gets along well with other cats, but no dogs or children, please. Because of the insecurity of Gary's unfortunate pre-foster life, he struggles with transition and can be a bit spicy when he is first moved to a new situation. Gary's adopter should be prepared to give him a few days to adjust in a low-stimulation room, with plenty of patience and gentle pets. This sleek panther has been through a lot, and is so ready to enjoy a cozy, calm, loving indoor life with a stable routine and plenty of affection. Could you be the one to make it happen for this charming boy?

Cashew, Male
Domestic Longhair, 3 years
Cashew is a curious and playful three-year-old cat, looking for his forever home! This handsome, fluffy fellow is a bit reserved and will take some time to warm up to his new owners. He is very fond of our resident cats, however. He loves to cuddle up next to them and enjoys every moment of it.
Cashew will be your cat’s best friend, even as he needs gentleness and compassion as he gets used to new humans. However, when he does come around, he will be super-loving and demand to be near you! His forever people will also have to commit to regular brushing of his lustrous, stunning coat, to keep him looking and feeling his best. This guy loves to play/lounge around the house, following his cat pals around or sitting near his humans to examine them when it’s mealtime or chill time. To start his day, this lovely fellow likes to find himself a nice window in the morning, where he can soak up the sun. Cashew’s ideal home needs to have other cats, as he is such a loving cat friend. He also needs a home that will be respectful of his space, understanding that it may take him some time to achieve his cuddly stage! Patience is key. Along with the essential cat friends, Cashew will thrive with respectful dogs and gentle older kids. If you’re ready to add some loving, kind energy to your resident cat family, or if you’d like to adopt a Pet Haven friend to go home with Cashew, this handsome boy would be so happy to meet you!

Harry, Male
Domestic Shorthair, 10 years-old
Harry is a 10-year-old loving and easygoing cat who is eager to please - and lucky for you, he is looking for his fur-ever home!
This big-boned feline is a surprising master of disappearing, whether creating a space between the boxspring and the outside fabric or ducking in the shadows, he channels his namesake Houdini. Now you see him, now you don’t. He may have the disappearing act down, but Harry prefers to be out in the open and in the spotlight. This handsome tuxedo fellow is always dressed for a night on the town--he loves to be the center of attention, rubbing up against his human’s leg. It only takes a few pets, and he starts a rumble of purrs, his equivalent to a round of applause. Harry has not yet met another cat, and would prefer to be an only animal, but his human assistant (foster mom) believes he would do fine with slow introductions to calm, relaxed resident felines. He is not a fan of dogs, going immediately on the defensive before pulling his disappearing trick. Harry has not met children in his foster home, but given his chill nature, adaptability and willingness to be picked up, he would likely make the small humans his biggest fans in no time. If you’d like a relaxed companion for a suave night on the town with plenty of playtime, cool jazz, lots of affection, and perhaps a surprise disappearing act to keep things lively, then Harry is the guy for you! Reach out and meet this charmer who is so ready to live his best life with his forever family! --- Harry is scheduled to recieve his last round of required vaccines on 05/29. Callista, Female
Domestic Shorthair, 1 Year Old
Calista is a stunning 1-year-old former mama looking for her forever home! You won't believe how beautiful Calista truly is until you meet her in person! She has incredibly long legs followed up with an even longer tail, with possibly the world’s cutest little orange marking at the tip of it.
It’s as if she accidentally dipped the last bit into bright orange paint! Her eyes are ginormous and round with curiosity and while it can’t be said for sure, her foster swears she could be part Bengal. Calista raised 3 babies after being left behind in an apartment, sadly. Although we don't know the situation, we do know that she's extremely loving and adaptable—which is even more amazing considering all the change and confusion she experienced! Calista loves to play and can often be found self-entertaining with a good scratch on a flat scratcher or chasing some of her favorite toys. An occasional zoom around the house gets those long legs stretched; of course, these antics also require plenty of compliments from the peanut gallery on how fast she is! Her favorite forms of affection are light cheek scritches and gentle pets; while receiving these, she will find the fluffiest blanket to make very fancy biscuits on while purring happily. Calista would love a home with another young kitty friend who does well with other cats. Although she is generally cat-savvy, this girl is still a kitten and has way too much energy for an older feline. Instead, she would love to play some games of chase or ""bap it,” as foster mom calls it, with another zooming kitten pal! It is unknown if she has met any kids or dogs yet, but her foster mom suspects that a calm, cats-only home would be best for Calista at this time. She needs some space to settle in and establish consistency (older, gentle, cat-savvy teens may be okay.) Having the space to befriend other young felines would help her thrive, gain confidence, and learn what is like to a beloved part of a true home. Calista is truly a gem and can't wait to meet her furever family!

Lala, Female
Domestic Shorthair, 16 years old
Lala is a spunky, one-eyed 16 year old lady looking for her retirement home!
Lala has been through a lot. She was a cherished pet until her human passed away a few months ago. When that happened, Lala ended up on the street and then (thanks to a kind neighbor) at Animal Control. What a frightening and confusing time for a mostly blind, mostly deaf elderly lady used to the comforts of a home! Despite her calm demeanor, she was put on the euthanasia list - her advanced age and the medical work she needed done to deal with eye and teeth issues made her unlikely to be adopted. Luckily, Pet Haven stepped in and got her off the list, out of the shelter and into a foster home, to the vet for the care she needed, and now up for adoption! Throughout it all, Lala has been a wonderful mix of spunky and sweet. If she were a human, she'd be the kind of grandma that always had a hug and treats in her purse (or in her case, a ready supply of purrs and headbutts) for her grandkids. She has a loud and scratchy meow but deploys it rarely - mostly just when she notices that her food dish has gotten low (understandable!). She likes to have folks around but also to have her own space to nap and enjoy her retirement years. She has one gorgeous golden eye, a beautifully soft dilute tortoiseshell coat, and an easily-activated heart-warming purr! Lala is very low-key old lady and spends about 20-22 hours a day sleeping, usually near but not on her people. She loves having a blanket or cat bed on the couch or on her foster's desk, where she snoozes away with the kind of bliss that only the nearly-deaf can achieve. When she's awake, she enjoys chin scratches and gentle pets, eating Fancy Feast, and playing with a wand toy or laser pointer. It's pretty impressive how good she is at catching her toy with only one eye and presumably no depth perception!! She does get a little wheezy when she exercises, and prefers her play in small (~5-10 min) doses before returning to her comfy dozing spot. She currently lives in a 3-story house with two adults. She has met a variety of people while in foster care and at the shelter, and is good with strangers of all ages so long as they are respectful (and especially if they provide treats)! Lala's ideal home would be one where she has space to choose between being near her humans (especially in the evenings) and a safe space to sleep undisturbed on her own. She can navigate carpeted stairs despite a little arthritis but jumping is a challenge - she would be great in a house with fewer stories and less total space than she's got now, and benefits from pet stairs to get up onto window sills or other good nap spots. She has previously lived with cats and was not a fan - she is happiest as an only cat. No specific experience needed at this stage - she is a senior citizen and may need medication or other vet support in the future, but honestly it is very easy to medicate as needed! She had to be in a cone for a while after having her eye removed, and was extremely chill about both that and the pharmacy of meds she was on as she recovered. Thanks to Pet Haven, Lala's major medical needs have all been taken care of! She is up to date on shots and senior bloodwork, has had her non-functional eye removed (some photos were taken beforehand - she's now an adorable one-eyed pirate!), and has had her teeth inspected and cleaned. Her only on-going special need is fiber-rich dry food (she is currently eating Royal Canin Gastrointestinal kibble) to reduce the chance of constipation and a little Miralax in advance of and for a few days after stressful events like car rides or vet visits. Grandma Lala has been through a lot, but still has so much joy and love to give! Senior pets are ofter overlooked through no fault of their own. Adopting Lala will give you a heart-warming, silly, low-key friend who demands very little from her owners and returns so much in love, purrs and antics. There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Nala (FIV Positive) Female
Domestic Shorthair, 8 years old
Nala is a sweet and playful 9-year-old tripod who is looking for a fur-ever home who can show her how sweet a cat’s life can be!
Nala tends to warm up to women more quickly than men—a home with one or two women would be a great fit for her. She doesn't like being picked up so older cat-conscious children would be best for her.. She will be nervous for the first few days of her new transition, so she needs a forever family who will be patient with her, respect her boundaries, and allow her to show love on her own time. She has only three legs (which makes her all the cuter) and is FIV+, but is healthy as can be. Nala is FIV+, but that doesn’t mean she can’t live a long, normal, and healthy life! Cats with FIV commonly have average lifespans. Because FIV is spread only through deep bite wounds, FIV positive cats are able to live with FIV negative cats in stable social environments. You can read more about FIV here: https://tinyurl.com/58sf9wtj Overall, Nala is looking for a patient, gentle human who is ready to show her that the world can be a good place. She deserves to be shown the kindness and love that she shows others every day. If you are ready to open your home and heart to this sweet, deserving girl, please apply today. ---- There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. Tomm, Male
Domestic Shorthair, 1 years old
Tomm is a one-year-old, friendly and loving sweet boy looking for his forever home!
This handsome pumpkin is a slightly vocal, big-time lover boy! He likes high spots on a cat tree, sleeping in bed with his humans, and looking out a good window. He does get chatty with us when we leave his room to do other things, because he was found living outside and doesn’t want to be left alone. This sweetheart just needs a bit of time to become more confident and secure in a loving home. Right now, Tomm has medium energy. He is more interested in snuggling and affection than playing, but that will probably change once he is comfortable with his forever family and can let all his zoomies out. Tomm currently lives in his spacious basement quarters, which he has all to himself. There are other cats in the home, but he has not fully healed from his neuter surgery yet, so he hasn’t met any of them. This snuggly man would thrive in any home that is filled with love and is permanent! He has spent enough time alone outside, so he should only be kept indoors unless he has a nice, safe, fully enclosed catio! He likes to give sweet kisses, but if he gets excited, he will also unintentionally give a few gentle love bites; gentle redirection by offering a toy or more snuggles is an easy fix. Tomm is a young guy, but he has seen more than enough of the outdoor life. This guy is so ready to know only a soft bed, warm sunlight, and lots of affection with his compassionate, permanent family. Could that be with you? Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Please fill out Pet Haven’s adoption application: http://bit.ly/2fd9U2Fpethavenmnwww..org/adopt. Kiwi (FeLV+), Female
Domestic Shorthair, 1 years old
Kiwi is a 1-year-old, incredibly sweet kitty looking for her forever home. This beautiful tabico is one of the sweetest cats I've ever met. She lives for attention and cuddles and will follow you around, wanting to be by your side—or ideally, in your lap and anywhere you go.
Kiwi will gamely bat at a feather toy, she'll sit and look out the window when there are no people around, and she enjoys sleeping in her soft cat bed. But more than anything she wants attention, touch, and companionship from people. She will make a great couch potato/Netflix companion/book reading buddy for someone! This super-affectionate girl has not been displaying many ""zoomies”—for her, it’s all about the cuddles. Kiwi is in my foster room in my apartment; it's a full-sized bedroom and she's making good use of the space. She would be okay with gentle older kids but is not a fan of my dog at ALL. Because she is positive for feline leukemia (FeLV), Kiwi is not able to interact with my other cats, so I didn’t get to see how she would respond to them. She needs to go to a home where she is the only cat or where there's another FeLV+ cat only. FeLV is not contagious to humans or dogs but can be transferred to other cats. Annual vet visits, regular immunizations, and your love will help Kiwi maintain a normal, healthy, and happy life. You can read more about FeLV here: https://tinyurl.com/ycxhwcmu. This sweetheart has been super-friendly with all the people she's met --myself, my partner in the home, and friends who have come over. Kiwi would thrive in a home with someone who can give her LOTS of attention. Someone retired or who works from home, whose lap she can sit on all day, would be ideal—or perhaps a child-free millennial who wants to smother a cat with their love 😊 If you’ve got lots of snuggles and pets to give and are ready to pamper a solo cat (or provide a friend for your resident FeLV+ cat), please consider adding this sweet Kiwi to your family! Milo, Male
Domestic Shorthair, 10 years old
Milo is a 10-year-old, regal buddy looking for his forever home! This sleek panther is a big boy who loves the sun and his solo time, taking it all in. He may take a little while to get used to his new surroundings and people, but when he does it is very rewarding to see him open up.
This guy is curious. He loves to spend time in the bathroom with you and, fair warning, would love to eat some toilet paper if he could get to it. Milo enjoys quiet exploring but will occasionally meow when he thinks it's time for food. This handsome fellow is very reserved and will take some time to gain confidence and feel more comfortable. He gets along with other cats but does not really want to hang with them. He likes to have his own space but has never been physical with another cat or human; he will hiss when annoyed but that’s it. He loves pets and scratches and occasionally will do some solo play time with his favorite cat nip toys. Occasionally he will run around, but for the most part, he is low energy. Milo currently lives with his foster dad and one other foster cat Tigger in a two-bedroom apartment. He has spent all his foster care with Tigger; however, as much as Tigger would like Milo to care for him, Milo is content to just be acquaintances. Milo would thrive in a home with lots of sunny spots and windows. He would do best in a quieter place with either a fellow calm, chill cat, or as a solo kitty with people who are around frequently and committed to helping him gain trust and feel more at ease. I do not foresee him bonding with another cat, but he has been able to live with kittens and Tigger with no issues. He loves to switch up his bed location—whether it be in the middle of the floor, hiding in a cupboard, or sleeping in a cat bed! He loves to scratch the top of the cat box or the wall for fun after doing his business. It can be kind of loud sometimes but usually if you call his name gently, he will stop. Milo is a lovely cat that takes time to come out of his shell. He probably spent the first month living here hiding during the day and only coming out at night. Even though he hides he never gets defensive when found and accepts pets. So, if you need some practice playing hide and seek, he's your guy. Milo really needs the chance to relax and enjoy his golden years. If you’re ready for a loving, sweet companion this spring, Milo would love to join your family. Buddy and Brava (Bonded Pair), Male and Female
Domestic Shorthair, 2 and 4 years old
Brava (about 4 years old) and Buddy (about two years old) are an affectionate, energetic pair looking for their forever home!
Brava spent more than a year at a shelter waiting for her forever home. She has really blossomed in a home setting with her new friend, Buddy. They chase each other up and down the stairs, engage in epic wrestling matches, and get into mischief together. They get along really well and often choose to play, bird-watch, and sleep near each other, but don't cuddle together at this point. Brava is hesitant when she's in a new situation, but after a short time she's exploring her new setting, asking for affection, and purring while kneading her fosters' laps. Her world was the size of a kennel for a large stretch of her life, and she is looking for humans who can be patient with her as she regains trust and gets used to living in a larger world. Buddy has helped her feel more confident in exploring. Buddy has a ton of energy, is very curious, and LOVES human attention (extra emphasis on love). He'll play with just about anything, including various cat toys, brooms, and shoelaces. He is friendly and outgoing when meeting new people for the first time and is eager to receive the same love and affection that he shows everybody else. He finds his own quiet space for a nap while his humans work from home, but as soon as a lap is available, he’s ready to purr and get some cuddles. This charming pair currently lives in a home with two adults. They would do best in a home with a lot of human interaction and affection—someone who works from home or is around a lot would be perfect. The two of them are great as a pair, but Buddy has displayed a dominant streak around other cats in the past, so we think they'd do best in a home without other cats to complicate the dynamic. Also, because Brava is more on the reserved side of the spectrum, they would do best in a home with a calmer environment, specifically without young children. If you’re ready to give these two sweeties the chance to truly enjoy the cozy indoor house life they deserve, Brava and Buddy would love to meet you!

Rick, Male
Domestic Shorthair, 4 years old
Rick is a 4-year-old, playful cat looking for his forever home! Rick is a reserved little guy who likes his alone time and space. However, when he’s in the mood, expect frequent meows for attention.
Rick LOVES to play and often prefers playing over treats or pets! His favorite toys are dangle toys and balls. This sleek panther also appreciates a good window view where he can keep an eye on the neighborhood. Although he can be frequently spotted sleeping, when awake Rick has lots of energy. He will need a home that is willing to sit and play with him during his happy cardio play workouts. Rick currently lives in a quiet apartment with 2 people and another cat. Rick will need a quiet, slow-paced home in order to thrive. A house with no children or active animals would suit him best, as loud noises and sudden movements causes him to panic a bit. Experience with a quiet, cautious cat would be appreciated, as Rick needs loving, patient humans who are willing to let him progress at his own pace. Overall, this handsome fellow is lovely but still a bit cautious. He needs a quiet home with little activity. Rick also has a head tilt and a slightly wobbly walk, but those traits just add character! So, if you work from home or are around a lot and are ready to help a sweet cat feel safe and cozy in his new happy life, please consider adding Rick to your family! --- Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Take Off, Male
Domestic Shorthair, 3 years old
Take Off is a handsome 3-year-old dude looking to cruise into his forever home! He's a pro at giving you looks full of attitude but is truly a playful lovebug.
This charming fellow is playful and likes to hang around near or cuddle with his foster. He enjoys playing in the cat tunnel, ball track toys, kicker toys, wand chasers, and of course catnip. He tends to follow the foster around and shortly after initiating pets he will plop down and show his belly. He likes a bit of belly rubs and really seems to like chin scratches. His foster works from home and he enjoys relaxing in the spot normally occupied by a keyboard so he can partially rest on the foster's arm and get pets. He can be a purring machine and enjoys lap cuddles sometimes. He'll also cross his front paws when resting like a distinguished gentleman. Take Off is a medium-energy cat who enjoys lots of stimulation and interactive playtime with throwing toys (any cat nip toys or balls) and wand chasers. He would do best in a home with forever humans who work from home or are around a lot, so he can get sufficient attention and cheerfully keep his people company. It is recommended that he is not in a home with kids unless they are older and able to understand cat cues. Take Off typically prefers to initiate pets, and can sometimes view hands and feet as toys. Having various fun, engaging playthings around the house will help distract and redirect him from this habit. He would likely not be a good fit with a shy or easily scared cat since he's a larger cat and likes to wrestle sometimes. Large, chill, friendly cats who like to play would be okay. (He’s never met a dog before.) This lovely boy had a vet stay 2 days after coming into care for a urinary blockage, so he's on prescription urinary food and his litter box needs to be monitored to ensure he's urinating normally. He's also taking gabapentin twice a day for some sensitivity on his back (capsules that are emptied out and mixed with the wet food). It took some time for Take Off to build trust with his foster and will likely require patience, love, and compassion with his forever humans to do the same. Coming from such a rough start, Take Off really needs love, and just has to gain the confidence and tools to channel his energy and realize that so many people can be good and kind. If you’re ready to launch into an adventure of kindness, growth, and compassion, please consider adding Take Off to your family. ----- Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Stevie loves to snuggle with her person in bed and has quite the purr machine in her chest! She also loves to play cell phone games with you and will keep you company while watching TV. Caroline is still a bit skittish. She's warming up to treats and loves to follow her human around at a distance. She'll accept pets and touches and treats and wants to see what you're doing, but on her terms. She may never become a full-blown snuggler, but she is getting bolder and does enjoy butt scritches! Nacho is a 12-year-old, extremely sweet fluff ball looking for his forever home! This beautiful long-haired gentleman still loves to play and will rub up against you or headbutt you whenever he wants rubs. He loves when you call his name and will come running over to say hi.
Nacho is very chill and always down for a nap by himself or some playtime with a mouse toy. He currently lives in an apartment, where he enjoys the simple life. Nacho loves a quiet home with just one or two people. Peachy (Special Needs), Male
Domestic Shorthair, 2 year old
Peachy is a perfectly quirky, little 2-year-old orange cat who will keep you on your toes, currently seeking his forever home! Do you know what time it is?? It is Peach(y) season!! Good thing this Peach(y) is in season all year long -- and even sweeter!
Peachy loves a good bowl of wet food, any teaser toy he can chase after (even more enticing if it makes noise), any location where the sun hits the spot, and anything that challenges him. Peachy is a curious and mischievous boy who will sprint after anything he deems suspicious -- especially if he thinks there will be food for him to feast on, of course! Peachy is vocal about what he wants. Opening a tin can, ripping open a bag of chips, opening a crisp can of soda? Peachy will be there to investigate! Maybe he can’t consume it, but his curiosity will get to him, and he will want a whiff of whatever it is that his human is focused on. This dude is excellent at establishing boundaries and will let you know when he isn’t elated with something. Sometimes he will nip (don’t tell him this) but his canines are chipped so it’s 100% effort and maybe 3% pain (it kind of tickles)! He can get silly with his moves but loves a good chin-scratch and will start his purr motor in appreciation. Peachy would do okay as an only cat but he would absolutely thrive with another cat buddy (maybe even a cat-friendly dog?). This guy is very sociable and loves to challenge his friends but is also extremely gentle and lovely to get along with! Peachy currently resides with 3 humans and 3 cats. He gets supervised outside enrichment time (recess) in a fenced backyard, which he has grown to love! Peachy isn’t a picky eater and will eat just about everything. And the ears on this cat? HIs airplane ears are ready for takeoff! Do you own a Stanley flask and are always aware of the importance of hydration? Peachy is an ambassador for hydration! This guy loves a good drink, and will provide plenty of kitty ASMR with this enthusiastic lapping sounds. He has a rare form of diabetes -- diabetes insipidus -- but as long as he has access to plenty of water and clean litter boxes, he can live a healthy, normal life. If you have any questions or concerns about this medical issue, please reach out to Pet Haven and we'll be able to share more while helping you navigate his health journey with knowledge and compassion. Peaches are in season and this Peach(y) will always be ripe and sweet and ready for any family to pick! Wanna see more of Peachy’s adventures and learn more about him? Catch up with his foster parent on Instagram @homeof.ggpt.

Nymphadora and Oberon (Bonded Pair), Female and Male
Domestic Shorthair and Longhair, 6 months old
Oberon and Nymphadora are a 6-month old kitten duo looking for their forever home together. Nymphadora is shy and loving and Oberon is playful.
Nymphadora is an adorable tabby girl who is sweet and very affectionate once she gets to know you. She might start out shy but will warm up with encouragement. She loves to be scratched above her tail. Once she feels comfortable, this pretty lady loves to explore her environment and eat any lickable treats like Churus! Her favorite toys are made of soft rabbit fur, which she likes to carry in her mouth. Nymphadora is a medium-energy cat. She likes to play but also needs time to be calm and observe those around her. This little beauty is reserved and may need some coaxing and plenty of space to feel brave enough to seek affection from her humans. She will need to go home with her bonded brother Oberon, who will help her relax into the cozy indoor life. Oberon is a cute white-and-tabby boy who loves to play. Everything becomes a toy in his paws! His favorite toys are plastic and make clicking noises on hard floors. He also loves feather toys on strings. Oberon is high energy and requires lots of play and exercise. This athletic boy plays well by himself but also enjoys chasing after toys on strings with his humans. These two sweetie pies currently live in a house with two humans and nine other cats, including their siblings and momma cat. Because Nymphadora is still reserved, she would do best in a quiet home with lots of places to hide, where she can get accustomed to her new environment. She would prefer patient owners who will respect her space while giving her lots of quiet affection. Oberon would also appreciate having owners who enjoy playing with him daily, and where there is perhaps another cat or two (besides Nymphadora) for him to wrestle with. He is also very affectionate and loves to cuddle with other cats and humans on the bed at night. They get along well with other cats and gentle, older children; they haven’t met any dogs yet. If you’d like to add double the fun to your home, please consider adding Nymphadora and Oberon to your family. ------- There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. Vander (FIV+), Male
Domestic Shorthair, 3 years
Vander is a 3-year-old, loving and playful cat looking for his forever home! Vander enjoys spending time in his cat tree, sunbathing, and napping.
He's an athletic fellow who loves to climb and jump onto higher surfaces. He relishes the panoramic view and is a pro at keeping tabs on his humans from above. Vander is also very playful and can often be found rolling around in his cat tunnels, making his humans laugh and smile with his silly antics. If you can't find Vander up high in his cat tree, you’ll probably find him on a human’s lap, soaking up love and attention. Vander is FIV+, but that doesn't mean he can't live a long, normal, and healthy life! Cats with FIV commonly have average lifespans. Because FIV is spread only through deep bite wounds, FIV positive cats are able to live with FIV negative cats in stable social environments. Boots (Hospice), Female
Domestic Shorthair, 10 years
Boots is a super sweet, nearly 10-year-old cat looking for a human (or couple) to love and spend her remaining days with. She is an affectionate sweetheart who will lie down right by your head and knead your chest and neck. (She is always happiest being on or her human and enjoys snuggling under blankets.)
She is fine with being at the vet but is not a fan of the carrier. Occasionally, Boots will have a spicy moment if you do something she doesn’t like, and will bat or gently nip in protest, but she will never hurt anyone. This beautiful senior lady has stage 3 kidney disease, as well as the cat equivalent of breast cancer. Therefore, she is considered a hospice kitty. This sweet lady will need loving care to keep her comfortable during her kitty hospice. Boots spends a significant portion of the day sleeping under a blanket. She will come out periodically as she wants to, to get love from a human. She is free-fed and gets fresh wet food (unlimited, with Miralax added) 4 times a day. Every other day, she gets a liquid med (Prednisolone) and subcutaneous fluids every other day. Boots currently lives in a foster home with a couple and one other cat. Her ideal home is a kind, calm, relaxed environment, with humans with no other animals or children, who can give her as much love as possible before she crosses the rainbow bridge. This sweet lady deserves to live out her days surrounded by attention, care, and kindness. Can you gently walk beside her on her journey?

Raja, Female
Domestic Medium Hair, 7 years
This 8-year-old medium-haired fluffer is as regal as her name, which means "King" in Hindi. True to her title, Raja loves being treated like royalty and knows how to command a household with her charming yet independent personality. Her stunning coat adds to her majestic aura, and don’t forget about her adorable toe beans—they’re as cute as they are paw-sitively perfect!
Raja is a low-energy kitty who enjoys the finer things in life, like lounging on her cat tree, basking in sunny spots, and keeping an eye on the resident squirrels through the window. She’s a playful fluffer at heart, entertaining herself with toys (and occasionally losing them under furniture). Raja can be quite the chatterbox and will let you know when she needs something, but her appreciation for your efforts is always clear. This queen prefers a calm, structured home where her boundaries are respected. She’s skittish around new people and large gatherings, so a quiet environment without young kids is necessary. She hasn't met any other cats or dogs yet, but may be open to them with the right introduction. While Raja isn’t a fan of being picked up, she loves gentle affection on her terms and enjoys exploring her space. Her ideal family will be patient, understanding, and willing to accommodate her routine. Raja has some special needs that require a little extra care—she has arthritis that is managed with monthly injections and occasional ear issues that are easily treated with provided medication. She gets nervous when left alone for long periods, so a family that’s around often or can provide consistent companionship is ideal. Trips to the vet stress her out, so she needs a dose of gabapentin before visits to keep her calm. Otherwise, her only other health consideration is that she has not been declawed while in our care. If you’re looking for a sophisticated, loyal, and occasionally sassy companion to brighten your days, Raja is ready to rule your heart and home. Apply to meet this royal kitty today—she’s sure to make your life paws-itively amazing!
