“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring — it was peace.” – Milan Kundera (Author, The Unbearable Lightness of Being)

Nonnie, Female
Lab Mix, 1 year
Meet Nonnie, an adorable 1-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who’s full of love, playfulness, and a zest for life! Weighing around 42 pounds, Nonnie is a perfect medium-sized pup who’s equally happy to be playing fetch as she is snoozing by your side
Nonnie’s journey has been a bit tough—she arrived at her foster home with a serious illness, but with care and love, she’s now healthy, energetic, and her joyful, spunky personality is shining through. Nonnie’s looking for a family who is eager to love and be loved forever! Nonnie is a social butterfly and adores other dogs, always ready for a playdate! She’s been consistent with her house training and continues to improve each day. She’s had some experience with crate training and would likely do well with continued training in the future. While she’s been introduced to cats through a fence without much interest, her curious, gentle nature suggests she might do well with a slow introduction to a feline friend. Because of her exuberance and energy, she’s best suited for a family with kids over 13. Nonnie has some hilarious habits that are sure to make you smile: she barely ever barks, but she lets out an adorable “wooooh” (almost like a howl) on her first fetch of the ball. She’ll nudge your hand if she’s not done being petted, and her snoring and intense dreams while she snoozes are heart-melting! This sweet girl has a medium-to-high energy level, so she’ll benefit from plenty of playtime, walks, and exercise, though she can also settle in for a cuddle session on the couch. While a fenced yard would be ideal, she’ll do well with dedicated daily walks to help her burn off that puppy energy. Nonnie is the perfect blend of playful and chill, making her a wonderful companion for anyone who’s looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun-loving friend. With her soulful eyes and sweet nature, Nonnie is ready to become a cherished part of your family. Are you ready for the endless love this amazing girl has to offer?

Ocho, Male
American Bulldog/Boxer, 7 years
This handsome guy is Ocho, a 7-year-old American Bulldog/Boxer mix ready to find his forever home! Ocho is quite the catch as he is as low-maintenance as dogs come. It doesn't take much from his human(s), sometimes its just a smile, to make his stub of a tail wag and let you know he's enjoying life.
Although he may look serious, this boy is a total goof and the sweetest of dogs. Ocho will make you smile daily, but especially when you come home or he sees someone he knows and jumps/dances with his legs straight to do the funniest of taps. He's a tank but surprisingly light on his feet! Ocho absolutely loves his people and when he knows you, he trusts you for life. He may take a moment to warm up but once he does, he'll be rolling over for belly rubs and snuggles with the biggest of smiles. He loves to sit next to you or against you when given a comfy spot to rest. Ocho has and currently lives with other dogs and does well. Like with people, he just needs a hot sec to warm up. He particularly loves the occasional short play with one of his foster siblings (he's low energy) and enjoys a good walk but doesn't need one. He'd be down for a hike or time in the yard (his recall is great) and would likely appreciate a mellow canine companion. He has also previously lived with cats but would likely prefer a home without feline energy. Ocho has a history of living with kids and reportedly did okay. Since coming into rescue, he's shown that he's not a fan. For this reason, it is best that Ocho finds a forever home that does not have children in the household and we recommend slow and supervised interactions when he encounters them in the future. Ocho isn't a big fan of chaos and would prefer a chill home to spend his best years. Besides his family, what Ocho loves most is a ball. He especially likes to chew on a ball, fetch a ball, or simply sleep on a ball. If a ball is around he'll be content. He is also into toys, especially squeakers. In new spaces Ocho can initially vocalize when left alone so shared walls are not recommended. With time he is fine being left solo, just trying to work his sweetness on you. ike most Bulldogs/Boxers, Ocho can run a bit sensitive so appreciates the current medication he's on that has helped his body heal from the previous living environment he was in. He has since become a beautiful, healthy pup. Ocho is the epitome of a dream dog and a content companion ready to bring happiness to whatever family is lucky enough to get to call him their dog.

Luna, Female
German Shepherd, 8 years
Luna is a 6 to 7-year-old German Shepherd mix, weighing in at 100 pounds of pure love. She's the perfect blend of playful and chill, always ready for a walk or a cozy snuggle session. Luna's favorite pastime? Enjoying her squeaky toy, Poppy--a pop tart-shaped toy that she loves to gently squeak while relaxing.
Luna is the epitome of a loyal, gentle, and protective companion. She forms deep bonds with her family, making her the perfect guardian. While she can be a bit wary of strangers, especially in her home, Luna is working with a professional trainer to manage her anxiety around new people. With continued training, she'll keep growing and learning to be more comfortable with unfamiliar faces. Fully house-trained, Luna knows exactly when it's time to go outside, signaling by lying down or heading to the back door. She's also crate-trained, viewing her crate as a safe and relaxing haven. Luna enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along well with her foster family's resident pup. She's friendly with neighbor dogs too, though her interactions are mainly through the fence. Currently, she lives with two teenage girls and does wonderfully with them. However, because of her cautious nature around strangers, Luna might be best suited to a home without small children. She's also not compatible with cats. Even though Luna is alert to people outside, she's unbothered by typical house or neighborhood sounds, making her well-suited for homes with shared walls. A yard isn't a must for Luna--she's adaptable to various living spaces. While she does need calming medication for vet visits, she's otherwise healthy and ready to be someone's perfect companion. Luna would thrive in a quieter home, ideally with a single woman or a household with a few women, where visitors are infrequent. She's a gentle soul who will give endless love and loyalty to her new family. Luna's past might be a mystery, but her future is bright. If you're looking for a devoted, loving companion, Luna could be the perfect fit for your home.

Indiana Bones, Male
Pitbull Terrier/Boxer Mix, 1.5 years
Meet Indiana Bones! Just as his name says, this boy is ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Indiana Bones is a 1.5 year-old Pit Bull mix who is 40 lbs of pure love and joy. Indiana has had a rocky start to his journey but is ready to meet his forever family where he can settle into the good life.
He is fully potty trained with the very rare accident due to being super excited. Aside from that, he’s learned how to alert his people that he’s got to go! He’s crate trained and treats it like his safe haven. He eats meals in his crate and has no complaints spending time there when home alone. Indiana is learning how to coexist with other animals and has been doing great. He enjoys spending time with other dogs and would prefer if he has a friendly buddy around to help him stay confident. If he meets a dog that matches his energy, they are a friend for life! As far as cats go, he’s learning how to pick up on their body language. He’s largely uninterested in his foster family’s cats but is working on boundaries with them! Indiana has yet to spend time with children. We recommend slow and supervised introductions with kids. Indiana will likely prefer a home where someone is there to see him throughout the day. He’s working through some separation anxiety and responds well to consistency and routine. Indiana’s forever family should be one that’s dedicated to providing him with daily activity and stimulation to keep him from getting too bored! He would prefer a fenced yard to assist in burning off excess energy and work on his recall skills. Indiana Bones is ready to find his forever home! With continued love and affection, Indiana will be sure to thrive!

Reba, Female
Shepherd mix, 2 years
This 2-year-old Shepherd mix has a big personality and the energy levels to match! At around 60 pounds, she’s a playful, clever girl who keeps life exciting. This mischievous pup will always keep you on your toes, so make sure you've got a close eye on your breakfast!
She’s sharp, adventurous, and has a lot to say—traits from her past as a reservation dog—but that doesn’t stop her from forming close bonds with her humans.. Reba’s dream home is one where she can run, play, and explore to her heart’s content. With her love for freedom, a yard where she can sprint and chase toys off-leash would be perfect. A secure, 6-foot fence is a must since she’s a bit of an escape artist and will try to outsmart anything lower. She’s also a big fan of outdoor adventures, so a family who enjoys hikes, long walks, or jogging would make an excellent fit. At the end of a long day, Reba is easy to manage at home—she is fully house trained and settles well in her crate, treating it as her safe space. When it comes to other dogs, Reba plays nicely after a cautious introduction. She’s friendly with people, though her playful jumps and nips mean she’s better suited for families with older children. Due to her prey drive, cats and small animals are a no-go. Reba may be independent, but she thrives when given lots of mental stimulation, affection, and playtime. She’d be happiest with humans who can laugh at her antics and appreciate her playful, talkative nature. Another energetic dog to run with would be the icing on the cake! Though she’s fine being left alone, she’d prefer a household where she can participate in the action as much as possible—and of course, one with an endless supply of peanut butter. If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts brains, energy, and heart, Reba is ready to charm her way into your home (and maybe into your breakfast, too).

Blitz, Male
Lab mix, 9 months
Meet Blitz! This 9 month-old Labrador mix is an ultimate goofball and lover looking for his forever family! Blitz is looking for a home that will allow him to meet his energy needs while giving him a safe space to cuddle at the end of the day
While a young guy, he's made tremendous strides since being in rescue and is eager to keep learning how to be a dog! Blitz adores being around other dogs and is always game to play. He is very excitable when meeting new dogs in public and wants everyone to be his friend! He's great at picking up on dog's cues and meeting them at their level when interacting. Blitz has not done well around the cats he's met so far and it's not recommended he is around them long-term. Due to his breed and age, his prey drive plays a factor when interacting with smaller critters! As far as kids go, he's a bit more hesitant than he is with adults but does okay. We recommend a meet and greet prior to adopting to a home with children and continued training with child interactions. He's been doing well with crate training and spending time alone. He's been known to let out the occasional bark or howl, so a home with shared walls may not be ideal but is still possible. He's been used to a fenced yard and it would be a major bonus if his forever home has one too! Blitz prefers a medium to high activity level and will appreciate it if he can utilize a fenced yard to let off some additional steam. Blitz is a very lovable guy who learns very quickly! His ideal forever home will be one that's dedicated to his continued training and can give him the daily enrichment and socialization he needs. If you're interested in learning more about Blitz and think he might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes his family will feel lucky they did.

Dahlia, Female
Pitbull Terrier, 2-5 years
Hi! My name is Dahlia, but my foster parents call me Dolly, Dolly Dingo, or Dolly Doobers. I'm a 2-5 yo Pit Bull and I'm really really cute. I'm a bit timid when I first meet people, but warm up quickly with a gentle, controlled approach.
I love to give kisses, and may or may not slobber your face, arm, leg, ear, or whatever given part of you I can reach at the time. I can't tell you what my life was like before rescue, but I'm pretty sure I've had a lot of puppies. I was picked up by Animal Control while running free, and stayed there for a little over a month until I got out. I think I've had some really basic training, because I know how to sit at food time, but beyond that I need work on a leash and some improvement on my basic manners. I'm not tall, but my foster dad says I'm "A real thickums McGee" and I'm not really aware of how solid or heavy I am, so your personal space is at a definite risk with me around, I just want to be by people! I have to be in a home with no other dogs, as I get scared and defensive when they get close. I do well in a crate for the most part, although I may whine when I feel like I'm left alone in one. Because I'm a beefcake, I would also probably do best in a home without younger children due to my size but would likely love them. Overall though, I'm a very very sweet lover girl who just wants to be your favorite companion and best buddy to whoever adopts me.

Freya, Female
Pitbull Terrier, 5 years
This beautiful girl is Freya, she's 5-years-old and 70 pounds of sweetness. To know Freya is to love her. Freya absolutely loves hanging out with her people and is happiest when they're around. Whether it's on the run or being a couch potato, she is ready to take on the world if you're with her.
She loves a good cuddle from anyone willing, while a hike through the woods is a highlight to any day. Freya would need a fenced yard if off-leash but is low energy and only needs a short walk daily. She would also likely be ok with shared walls. She may vocalize when someone is at the door but is otherwise quiet and can be left alone but of course prefers to have someone around to chill with if given the option. Freya came to rescue after living in a stressful and toxic environment. As a result, she took some time to adjust, but after a few weeks is now starting to show her incredibly charming personality. Freya loves to find the sunny spot in a room and sun herself for hours if left undisturbed. When she walks into a room, she greets each person in turn before proceeding to the next room and will do this every time she enters the room. Freya is fully house-trained with no issues. She does have one quirk, she doesn't poop on leash so space for her to go without one is a bit of a must. She is crate trained and previously slept crated at night, but since coming to rescue has gotten to free roam the house with no issue. When it comes to other dogs Freya can be good with some, it would depend on temperament. Due to her previous home environment, she still reacts poorly to larger aggressive dogs. She is working with her foster on leash reactivity as she continues positive socialization. As for cats, she does have a prey drive and is generally not a big fan. Freya would likely do well with kids 5 and older. She's generally a girl that loves a calm space for her to be her mellow self and be part of a family. I

Candy, Female
Pomeranian/Sheltie Mix, 2 years
Meet Candy, as sweet as her namesake. She's a 2 year-old, 11-lb bundle of cuteness ready to steal your heart. Candy is a mixed breed pup estimated to be a terrier/sheltie mix.
Candy loves hanging out with her people and getting pets and love as much as she gives it. She is very shy and anxious in new situations and would do best in a home that can give her slow introductions to new people and pets. Candy lives with senior dogs in her foster home. She would most likely flourish with a patient and affectionate small-breed dog to help build her confidence. Otherwise, she'd do well as a solo dog if given the attention she needs to come out of her shell. She loves to get her outdoor time, running circles around a fenced yard. Candy came to rescue with little training, but has made significant progress since being in her foster home. She is potty trained and does okay on a leash. She's not very food motivated so lots of praise and positive reinforcement is key in teaching her new things! Candy has developed separation anxiety which is a work in progress. She will do best in a home where she can see her people throughout the day. Her forever home will be one that can accommodate these needs while continuing to improve on these behaviors. When home alone, Candy is known to bark and whine. For this reason, it's not ideal that Candy lives in a home with shared walls.

Cleo, Female
Chihuaha/Pug, 7 years
Alright, STOP. Collaborate and listen... She cute but she is expensive. Cleo will need prescription food and medication for the remainder of her life. Still interested? Read on!
Straight from her foster's mouth to your ears.. erhmm.. eyes.. learn more about Cleo directly from the source! They say diamonds are a girl's best friend.. And you better have a lot of them. To sell. To pay for her vet care. Haha! Just kidding! *looks around* Kind of.. Cleo has a condition called protein-losing enteropathy (PLE) caused by irritable bowel disease. She loses proteins from her bloodstream into her GI tract faster than her body can replenish them and her medical management helps regulate this condition. Cleo's daily life is unaffected by this and she does your everyday dog things. The only addition is giving her medication (pills) with her morning and evening meals which she takes without problem. Still interested? Then you're ready to hear our secret.. ---- Cleo is a GEM. A truly one-of-a-kind companion. So without further ado, here's what you need to know about Cleo! Extremely smart. Eats her own poop. In a glass-half-full kind of world, you could consider her a self-poop picker-upper. (But really, you are going to have to go out in those subzero temps and pick up her poop before she does.) In all seriousness, she is one of the best potty-trained dogs we have ever had. And she understands cues so quickly. She even knows sit, shake, high five, and can catch her food mid-air! Farts can clear a room. They just get stronger. Rootin' Tootin' Cleo should be in the Guinness Book of Records or something. Teeters on being the fun police. Still fun. Cleo coexists with dogs big and small but can sometimes be a playtime hall monitor. That said, if she finds the right dog with the right playstyle, she has a good time playing chase and wrestling! Loves tug o' war. Hates fetch. If you throw her toy, she's going to look at you like what are you even doing. On a scale of one to barky, she's about a five. While Cleo doesn't bark all day long, she is going to warn you about car doors slamming, people talking, the general goings on of the world. And her bark be loud so shared walls may not be the best fit for her. She stops with some guidance pretty quickly.. usually.. sometimes.. Loves food. Hates sharing. Cleo's favorite times of the day are, hands down, breakfast and dinner. And she's got that only child syndrome (I can say that, I'm an only child) where everything is hers. Her food. Her toys. Your food. All hers. And she will tell anyone who needs to know. Cleo doesn't currently live with cats but has in the past and takes it in stride. As long as she's the center of attention, that's all she really needs. Supposedly a Chihuahua/Pug mix. Definitely just as needy. Pug parents, am I right? Cleo will climb on your lap, push her way to your hands, and really doesn't care if she's stepping on another dog to get to the top. We mean that figuratively. Well.. except for those times when she's literally walking over a dog to get to you. Likes to give kisses. Licks everything. Literally everything.. the couch, the floor, the carpet, the coffee table, your clothes, and your face. Cleo is great with kids of all ages but it's probably best that she live in a home with teens or no kids on account of how much she loves food. Because she has PLE, Cleo needs to be on a restricted diet and can't be catching scraps or snagging food from those little hands. Because she would. She totally would. This girl's personality is a great balance of play and chill, and she walks so well on a leash.. when it's actually warm out.. A lap dog through and through, Cleo wants to be snuggled in with you, often under a blanket (Chihuahua parents, you get it). She's content to snooze on the couch or a dog bed when you're gone and she can fit into any social situation. Cleo is one of the best dogs out there and whoever has the privilege of adopting her is going to know love (and toots) beyond measure!

Montana, Male
Dogo Argentino, 1 years
Montana is a handsome 1-year-old 55lb Dogo Argentino looking for his forever home! He is fully house and crate trained and would do best either as an only dog or, an adopter who is committed to doing slow introductions over the course of a few weeks.
His excitement gets the best of him! At this time, Montana is not suited for young children under 14 due to his energy levels. Montana's foster family describes him as incredibly sweet and affectionate, with a penchant for exploring outdoors and chewing on bones. However, he thrives best in calmer environments and benefits from structured routines and regular exercise, needing at least an hour of activity each day. While he's adjusting to indoor living, Montana is still learning to manage his energy levels and would do best with someone experienced in bully breeds who can continue his training. He's neutered and in good health, with no known medical needs. Montana is a great working companion, and would thrive with a family that enjoys working with working breeds and power breeds. If you're ready to welcome Montana into your home and help him become the best version of himself, please reach out to learn more about this loving pup.

Bucky, Female
Staffordshire Terrier, 6 years
Hi! I'm Bucky,a 6-year-old girl who's the epitome of sweetness and affection. I love fetch, belly rubs, and hanging out with my family. I'll happily start a good tug-of-war over a stick or a frolic with my dog neighbors.
When I'm relaxing inside you'll likely find me by you on the couch or in my kennel, which I'll also gladly hangout in as I wait for you to come home. I love other dogs but I can take a moment to warm up. Once I do I'll be a social butterfly. With appropriate introductions, a chill space to say hi organically, I'll be ready to hangout with my canine friends. I just need to feel comfortable and prepared. I haven't had any cat tests since coming to rescue, so I'm not quite sure how I'd do there and although I don't currently live with kids, my affectionate nature suggests I could do well. What would my perfect day include? Balls, sticks, a blanket, some time to run and play fetch, but I'm an easy-going girl happy to do much of anything. I could live without the sound of the vacuum and a nail trim, but who wouldn't? With 15-30 minutes of playtime in the yard I'm golden for the day, and will spend much of the rest of it sleeping or calmly chilling at home. I have no issues with being left alone but will always happily choose to hangout with people. I'm not particularly vocal so could adjust well to an apartment without too much stimuli, and would love a fenced-in yard, but really I'm just looking for a family that wants to love me as much as I'm ready to love them!

Berlin, Male
Siberian Husky, 2 years
Hi! I'm Berlin, an exceptionally handsome 2-year-old Husky, weighing in at 55 pounds of playful affection. I'm eagerly looking to find my pack and here to tell you a bit about me in case you're it! Although I can be momentarily a bit shy when first meeting someone, I'll quickly warm up and consider you a friend.
I become incredibly affectionate to anyone that gets to know me, showering my people with plenty of kisses and snuggles. I have the most adorable habit of wrapping my legs around yours to keep you close. I LOVE dogs and gladly co-habitate with 3 resident pups currently in my foster home. I'll show a friendly hello to other dogs out and about by sniffing and wagging my tail. When it comes to cats, we shouldn't mix. As for kids, I have previously lived harmoniously with an eight-year-old and would likely do well with kids of any age, although the younger ones may get knocked over! When it comes to crate training, I am pretty awesome as I particularly like the comfort my crate provides, and am used to sleeping and eating in my crate. Although I might be slightly bummed when you leave the house initially, I'll settle into some time alone with no issues and don't get anxious. I also am chill in the car, and am always ready for a new adventure. As with many dogs my breed, I can be vocal in communicating with my humans, but mostly when I need to go out and want to play or when you've just come back and I want to say hello. I'm not particularly vocal all things considered. I'm a guy with energy so I thrive most on regular exercise and would benefit from a tall fenced-in yard (e.g., 6-foot privacy fence would be the best) where I can run and play safely. I can be a bit picky with my food choices, but with trial and error you'll figure out some of my favorite things, like zucchini and sweet potato, I'm a healthy guy! You'll want to be sure to give me a good brush/groom regularly to keep me looking my best with my beautiful thick coat. My priorities for my ideal home include love, patience and plenty of playtime! Are you looking for an affectionate, playful pup in return? Whether it's chasing toys, enjoying cuddles on the couch, or going for a run, I'll always be your loyal companion to take on life with.

Aprilia, Female
Staffordshire Terrier, 1.5 years
Say hello to April! April is a 1.5 year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix and 59 lbs of pure energy and affection. April might take a bit of time to gain confidence around new people, but once she does she will be your best friend forever!
She understands that her calling in life is to act as her human's shadow and will go the extra mile in order to not miss out on any action happening at home. This might even include her licking your hair while you catch up on your latest Netflix binge! April is house trained. It is likely that April used to spend most of her time outdoors, so she may need a bit of guidance as to where the appropriate place to go potty is. She has caught on quickly in her foster home, no accidents! April is also crate trained. She does well in her crate at night and while home alone. While April prefers to see her humans throughout the day, she does well when left home alone and has not been known to vocalize or be destructive. She requires a medium level of activity and is content with a daily walk and plenty of stuffed toys to play with! April is a curious girl who would love to have a fenced yard to sniff around in but it is not required. April has enjoyed meeting and playing with dogs in her foster home and does very well. She prefers to have a confident dog around to help teach her how to be the best pup! Ideally, April would find a forever home that has a built-in canine companion but it is not required. When it comes to cats, April has yet to meet one! She has shown signs of a prey drive so a meet-and-greet would be necessary if there is a cat in the household. When April is feeling playful, her energy can be very high! Her play style is all in good fun but this may overwhelm young children as she can get a bit mouthy. She would do best in a household with children 13 years and older. April is ready to meet her forever home! With patience and consistent structure she will blossom into the perfect companion that anyone could ask for. If you're interested in learning more about April and think she might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes her family will be lucky they did.

Milo, Male
Mini Australian Shepherd, 5 years
Meet Milo! This 5 year old, 40 pound, Miniature Australian Shepherd is ready to meet his forever family! This spunky boy is looking for someone who can be his best friend while accommodating his high energy needs.
Due to Milo's breed, he likes to have a job to focus on each day. Sometimes, he thinks his job is to manage the people around him. This can manifest in being nitpicky around children and he'll want to correct their behavior and can become frustrated when this doesn't go his way. For this reason, he should go to a home with kids 13 years and older. Aside from these behaviors, Milo loves being around people and receiving all the love and attention he can get! Milo was crate trained as a puppy but it's not his favorite spot to be. He prefers to free roam the house and does very well. He adjusts quickly to new surroundings but has anxiety that's well managed by daily medication. It's important that Milo's forever family will be one that's dedicated to managing his anxiety long-term. Milo does great with other dogs but prefers them to be more submissive than him in size and personality. He likes to be the boss! He'd likely do well with another dog in the home given the right dynamics are in place. We aren't sure how he'd do around cats long-term. He's had short interactions with them and is largely disinterested. This smart boy enjoys a moderate to high activity level to stimulate him each day. For this reason, he would like a home that can give him a couple walks a day with additional playtime in between. He does well with a tie-out so a fenced yard is not required. Milo's ready to meet his forever family! With lots of love and activity, he will be the ultimate best friend anyone could ask for. If you're interested in learning more about Teddy and think he might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes his family will be lucky they did.

Mutt Damon, Male
Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler, 4 years
Say hello to Mutt Damon (AKA Sylvester)! This sweet boy is an Australian Cattle Dog mix and approximately 4 years old. At 50 pounds, he's a medium sized boy who will miss no opportunity to be a lap dog!
There are very few things that Mutt Damon hates aside from watching you play Mario Kart and his crate! He can be coaxed into his crate with treats but doesn't enjoy staying for very long. Since being in rescue, he's proven to be a very good boy who does well outside of the crate at night and when home alone. He's been known to bark occasionally when his people leave or come home and prefers to see them throughout the day. For this reason, Mutt Damon may not be a candidate for shared walls. Mutt Damon is the perfect hiking buddy and is always ready for adventure! He requires a medium level of activity and enjoys long walks each day. A fenced yard would be ideal to help burn off extra energy but this is not a requirement. Mutt Damon hasn't had long interactions with other dogs yet but he is very eager to make furry friends on walks. He is careful and respectful of their boundaries when they meet. For this reason, it's likely he would do well in a home with other dogs. He's not yet met a cat and we aren't sure how he'd react. A cat meet and greet may be necessary prior to adoption. As far as kids go, we aren't sure how he would react. When he gets excited, he has a tendency to be a bit jumpy and mouthy. For this reason, young children may not be ideal for Mutt Damon. Mutt Damon's ready to meet his forever family! With lots of love and a consistent home to hang out in, he will be the ultimate best friend anyone could ask for. Ozzie, Male
Rottweiller, 5 years
Meet Ozzie, the loyal Rottie with a heart of gold! Ozzie is a 5 year-old Rottweiler, weighing in at 107 lbs. Despite his large size, Ozzie is a well-trained, gentle giant who is looking for a family that can love him for life. Ozzie was dealt a tough card in the first part of his life and is enjoying the redemption arc he’s experiencing now!
Ozzie is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He never protests spending time in his crate, but has transitioned to free roaming when home alone. He’s a good boy that doesn’t get into much mischief. He has settled comfortably in his foster home after slow introductions to new people. Once he’s comfortable with his people, he's all in! He’s become his foster mom’s shadow and loves to be included in all family activities. He loves anything that involves a car ride, especially trips to the cabin! Ozzie would be happiest in a home with dog-savvy older children and people who understand his need for gradual introductions. He needs a bit of time to warm up to visitors and would do best in a home that is dedicated to learning/accommodating Ozzie’s social needs. Ozzie would likely do well with another resident dog in the home. He’s had positive dog tests and a meet and greet may be necessary prior to adoption. The same goes for cats. Ozzie hasn’t been the biggest fan of the cats he’s seen but his experience is very limited. He may do well with a resident cat in the home given proper introductions are done. Ozzie has a few adorable quirks that make him truly special. He has a charming, slightly asymmetrical face with one eye larger than the other and a slight droop on one side of his snout—a unique look that adds to his charm and doesn’t affect his quality of life. He was likely born this way! He’s missing a few teeth that were recently removed due to extreme wear. This doesn’t affect his ability to eat or play! Ozzie enjoys a moderate amount of exercise. A daily walk with plenty of time to explore is his idea of a good time, though he sometimes needs a gentle reminder to stay on track, as he loves stopping to sniff everything along the way. He would appreciate access to a yard so he can sun-bathe to his heart’s content but this isn’t a requirement. He’d do well with a fence or a tie-out with supervision. Ozzie’s ideal forever home would include a calm, patient family who can give him the time and space he needs to warm up. He’d do well with someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule, as he loves being near his people and is happiest when included in daily activities. He may not need a fenced yard, but he thrives in a secure setting where he feels safe and loved. And, despite his size, Ozzie has demonstrated that he’s a true gentleman—respectful of space and attentive to the rules when food is not left unattended!

Simba, Male
Shepherd Mix, 14 weeks
At 14-weeks-old and 22 pounds, this Shepherd puppy has a heart full of energy and curiosity! Whether he’s zooming around with his foster siblings or learning new tricks like "sit" and "shake,"
Simba makes every day an adventure. His sweet morning kisses and love for a good nap make him the perfect companion for anyone looking for a fun and affectionate pup. Simba is a total social butterfly -- he gets along great with his foster siblings and is learning to play with them like a pro. While we're unsure of his behavior around kids or other animals, his gentle nature should make him a good playmate for them too. Simba doesn’t require a fence, but he absolutely loves his playtime, so he should be fine with exploring on walks! Simba’s smart and quick to adjust. He’s still working on potty training and crate training, so with some patience and guidance, he will be making good progress. Simba is food-driven (especially at breakfast!), which makes him a perfect student for training. His playful nature, combined with his desire to learn and cuddle, makes him the perfect puppy to add to your family!

Jack, Male
Beagle, 1 years
Meet Jack, a playful and affectionate Beagle with a heart as big as his love for treats! This handsome guy sports a classic Beagle coat of white with brown and black patches, weighing in at 24 pounds—a perfect small companion.
Jack is all about the snuggles, often curling up on his favorite blanket when he’s ready for a nap, and you might catch him perched on the arm of the couch like Snoopy, surveying his kingdom with curiosity. Jack has made great strides since coming into rescue and he’s working hard to master the art of being a good boy. He’s working on becoming more comfortable in the crate and will go in it to relax without being prompted. He’s gained more confidence in his foster home and is showing off his playful side by jumping for treats and zooming around the yard! A fenced yard is ideal for Jack so he can play safely. Jack is still nervous to meet other dogs and will opt to hide behind his people rather than play. He’s yet to meet a cat, but would likely need a slow introduction before feeling comfortable around them. He’s done well with older kids and will gladly accept snuggles from all people! Due to the nature of Jack’s breed, he’s been known to be vocal when home alone. For this reason, he should go to a home that does not have shared walls..

Apollo, Male
Pitbull Terrier, 1.5 months
Meet Apollo, a lively, affectionate 18-month-old Lab-Pit mix with a love for adventure, a passion for fetch, and a penchant for hugs! Weighing in at 55 pounds, Apollo sports a sleek black coat with hints of brown and a white “eagle” marking on his chest.
He’s an energetic and playful companion who needs an active household that can keep up with his high energy and zest for life. Apollo is house-trained and crate-trained, easily making it through the night without any issues. He’s done very well spending nighttime outside of the crate and usually opts for a comfy spot on the couch. He’s social with other dogs and loves to play, though his playstyle can be a bit intense for some. With the right doggie friend and some guidance, he could be a great sibling to a similarly energetic dog. While he’s met cats through a fence, his high-energy nature may make him a little too interested in cats indoors, so a gradual introduction or a cat-free home might be best. Apollo is good with older kids (13+), but he needs clear boundaries and a confident handler to help him understand his strength. Apollo’s daily routine includes long walks and plenty of fetch time. His favorite game is chasing down a tennis ball, though he may sometimes playfully dart away with it before returning. Apollo is learning new commands daily, including “sit,” “no,” and “stay,” though he occasionally lets out a funny “sigh” when he doesn’t get his way. His foster notes that he gives the best hugs and has a hilarious habit of expressing his “opinion” with little sounds when he loses a tug-of-war for direction on a walk. This pup would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore to his heart’s content. Though not prone to separation anxiety, Apollo prefers to have someone around; he’s only alone for a few hours a week and would do best in a home where he can get plenty of companionship and attention. For a family that loves the outdoors and is ready to share in Apollo’s boundless enthusiasm, he’ll be a loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining addition! Ready to meet your new best friend? Apollo can’t wait to show you his signature hug!

Ace, Male
Collie Mix, 5 months
Say hello to Ace! This puppy is a 5 month-old, 33 pound Collie mix with lots of growing and learning left to do. Born in rescue with eight other siblings, Ace is learning quickly how to be a good dog and is ready to take on the world!
This handsome pup is very sweet and inquisitive! He is a happy boy who will never turn down a good belly rub. Ace enjoys joining the other dogs outside to explore, run, and play in the backyard. A fenced yard would be a bonus for this sweet guy to continue to learn in a safe environment. Ace has started crate training but started out spending his nights and unsupervised time in an open-top pen with his siblings. He is a highly intelligent breed and is eager to learn. Although still a young pup, potty training has been quite successful with Ace and his siblings! Ace is a Collie mixed breed, making him a natural herding and working dog. His ideal forever family will be one that is dedicated to giving Ace consistent and structured training and a high level of activity. Ace is the type of dog who thrives off of consistent enrichment and the feeling of having a ‘job’. These natural herding instincts may be overwhelming for some cats. A confident and tolerant cat in the home may be successful but it is recommended to start off with slow and controlled interactions. Ace has been around other dogs since he was born and has done very well! Continued socialization with other dogs while Ace continues to grow and learn will be key. Due to the natural chattiness and vocal announcing that he has, Ace is not a candidate for dwellings with shared walls. Ace is ready to meet his forever family! With patience and consistent training, he will surely develop into the perfect dog anyone could ask for. If you’re interested in learning more about Ace and think he might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more. Whoever becomes his family will be lucky they did!

Boo, Female
Chihuahuah, 2 years
This 2-year-old Chihuahua is super sweet and has a heart full of love! At just 12 pounds, this adorable pup is a quiet companion who thrives on being near her humans, whether she's curled up at your feet or nestled on your lap. She’s a low-maintenance cuddle bug with a bit of playful energy, making her the perfect balance of calm and fun.
Boo has adjusted well to her foster home, showing her affectionate and trusting nature. After a few days of higher energy and some nervousness, her loving personality quickly emerged. Fully house-trained, she’s had occasional accidents, likely due to some anxiety, but she does well on a schedule. Boo is crate-trained, settling down within 10 minutes, and she’s quiet and respectful when left alone—though she’d prefer to have her humans around of course. This little lady is great with other animals, showing she's curious and polite during introductions with dogs and cats. She hasn’t been introduced to kids while in our care yet, but her sweet demeanor suggests she’d be friendly and a great family dog. When it comes to playtime, Boo doesn't really know what to do with toys or doggy playmates, but enjoys short walks where she can explore and look for bunnies. Surprisingly strong for her size, she’ll keep you on your toes when she spots something exciting. When she gets a burst of energy at home, she loves zooming around the apartment or hopping between furniture for playtime. Her jumps are quite impressive—during her first week with higher energy, she would easily jump two feet in the air when we came home from work, hopping around like a little kangaroo! Boo’s quirks are sure to make you smile, like her obsession with belly rubs (she’ll stay still for hours if you keep petting her!) and her excited little jumps when she’s happy to see you. She’s eager to please, responding well to training with a little shredded cheese as motivation. Boo would thrive in a loving home where she can be part of the family. If you’re looking for an affectionate, quiet, and endearing companion, Boo is ready to win your heart!

Ringo, Male
Miniature Beagle, 2 years
This 2-year-old Beagle is the sweetest and spunkiest of dogs! Weighing in at 22 pounds, he’s the perfect size for cuddles—and cuddling just happens to be one of his favorite activities.
While his past has made him more anxious and sometimes overstimulated, he shows his bravery and resilience in new ways every day. In no time, Ringo will happily follow you around the house, and be your favorite snuggle buddy at night, making every night cozy and warm. With some patience and guidance, he’s made remarkable progress and become a great roommate! While he’s house-trained on a consistent schedule, his pacing around the room will be your cue to go outside. If you're home, he may go into his kennel for a safe space, or when you say “take a nap” (especially if there’s a treat involved)! When he's alone, he can be very vocal and unsettled in the kennel. Due to his noise level during these times, he will not be a fit for homes with shared walls (apartments/condos). This little explorer thrives with structure and enjoys mental and physical stimulation. Ringo loves to go on walks (30-45 minutes) where he can sniff to his heart's content, along with food puzzles to entertain his Beagle nose. Ringo is eager to learn with you, too! He’s working on commands like “sit” and “touch,” treating every session like the most fun game ever. When it comes to his favorite things, Ringo’s love for squeaky toys knows no bounds—his hedgehog stuffy is a prized possession. He’s also an expert in the fine art of destroying stuffed toys but enjoys chew toys, kongs, and even a good antler. Ringo’s playful spirit is matched only by his need for cuddles. He’ll give you endless kisses, follow you everywhere, and look at you with those soulful Beagle eyes that make it impossible to say no. Ringo is happy to make friends, but it takes a little extra bravery to do so. He has met children as young as 6 years-old and adored them, though he is still learning personal space. Because of this, dog-savvy kids aged 8+ would be the best match. He has briefly met his foster family's cat, but quickly retreated. With the right introduction, he could likely coexist peacefully with a confident, relaxed cat. Around other dogs, Ringo does best with calm or well-balanced companions, as big personalities can make him nervous. He finds comfort in the presence of another dog and could benefit from a home where his human or canine companions are often around. Ringo would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands his puppy-like curiosity and gives him the structure he needs to blossom. In return, you'll receive a lifetime of laughter and endless kisses! Could you be the one to give this brave, spunky, and snuggly pup his forever home?

Leo, Male
Yellow Lab, 3 years
Meet Leo, a charming 3-year-old Yellow Lab mix with a lot of love to give. Weighing in at 65 pounds, Leo is equal parts energy and snuggles—he can go from chasing a ball with unbridled enthusiasm to curling up on your lap in a heartbeat.
Leo is the ultimate "Velcro dog," always by your side, ready for whatever adventure (or nap) the day brings. Leo's favorite activities include going for walks, snuggling up to you, and the occasional wrestling match with his dog buddies. He’s particularly fond of outings to Petco, where he’s learning to be more confident around people and dogs in new environments. He’s a sociable pup who gets along well with other dogs, provided he’s established as the top dog. Once that’s sorted, he’s happy to play, share toys, and even snuggle up with them. He’s also great with cats, offering gentle grooming nibbles to patient feline friends. As your future roommate, Leo will fit right in! Leo is fully house-trained and knows how to make himself comfortable in his crate, though he’d prefer to be out and about with his humans or canine pals. While he’s still mastering leash etiquette and commands like "sit" and "stay," Leo is eager to please, especially when there are treats involved. His quirky barks make him a great alert dog who’ll keep you informed about every squirrel or mail delivery. And when you come home from work, Leo will be right there to greet you with excitement and a shoe to play with. If you're looking for a lovable, playful, and loyal companion with a "3-year-old puppy" spirit, Leo is ready to be your best friend and brighten your days!

Jenkins, Male
Cattle Dog Mix, 1.5 years
This 1.5-year-old cattle dog mix is a bundle of love! At 55 pounds, Jenkins is happy cuddling on the couch with his head in your lap or entertaining himself with toys. He is a low-maintenance, easygoing pup ready to bring joy to his forever family.
Jenkins is fully house-trained and makes a great roommate! He knows the difference between dog toys and people things—so no chewing on your shoes with this guy. He can be trusted to be home alone and is very polite around food, though he might sniff around to check out what’s cooking. He’s also crate-trained and sleeps peacefully in his crate at night or whenever he needs a break. While Jenkins barks occasionally as a part-time watchdog, he’s easily calmed and makes a fantastic home office coworker, quietly napping through virtual meetings. He previously lived in a townhouse without issue, making him a good fit for various living situations. Jenkins will easily adjust to new friends if given a little help! At his foster home, Jenkins has greatly benefited from his confident canine sibling who can help him feel secure and teach him the ropes. He loves to chase, wrestle, and play tug with other dogs, but is still learning to share his toys and space. While Jenkins hasn’t had extensive experience with children, he’s greeted kids at the bus stop with polite curiosity. A meet-and-greet would help determine compatibility with potential human siblings. Cats, however, are a definite no-go for Jenkins. Living with a cat causes him significant anxiety, so a cat-free home is a must for his happiness and well-being. Jenkins thrives on a mix of activity and relaxation. A morning walk, some toy time, and play sessions with a doggy sibling are enough to keep him happy. If he’s an only dog, two short walks a day or some yard time would suit him perfectly. He’s not prone to zoomies but has bursts of playful energy that are fun to watch. Jenkins loves toys—especially ones he can chew or tug—and enjoys chasing balls or being chased while carrying one. His adorable habit of pouncing on toys will keep you smiling, and his independent playtime shows his ability to entertain himself when needed. Jenkins came from a loving family who helped him become the confident, affectionate dog he is today. He’s trusting, sweet-natured, and eager to bond with his new family. Could Jenkins be your perfect match? If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and adaptable dog who will adore you endlessly, Jenkins might just be the one!
