“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring — it was peace.” – Milan Kundera (Author, The Unbearable Lightness of Being)

Tallulah, Female
Great Pyrenees, 4 years
Tallulah is a stunning 4-year-old Great Pyrenees/Collie mix with a heart as big as her paws. Weighing around 75 pounds, she’s a sweet, gentle giant that wins people over instantly. After spending her early years as a stray, Tallulah is adjusting beautifully to regular meals, cozy spaces, and human companionship.
Tallulah is house-trained and is an incredibly respectful roommate. She's not much of a barker, though she may let you know when someone is approaching—just doing her job as a loyal yard protector. While she’s not yet crate-trained, she’s practicing with short periods until she's comfortable being kenneled. That said, Tallulah would likely thrive in a home where she can free-roam or be near her humans often. Tallulah gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has lived peacefully with cats, showing little to no interest in them. While she hasn’t had the chance to meet very young children, she’s can be trusted to be calm and responds well to vocal redirection. Her social nature means she loves meeting new people, whether it's on walks or when guests visit the home. Tallulah loves sniffing her way through the neighborhood, but her energy level is low to moderate. She doesn’t require a fenced yard, but she will do best in a home with a fenced yard and a dog door or frequent access to both her people and the great outdoors. She’s happiest when she gets to spend time outside, especially when she can keep herself cool in a fresh dirt pile or snooze under the stars before joining her people inside for the night. Tallulah has the sweetest temperament and is the kind of dog who makes any space feel more peaceful just by being in it. She’s loving, loyal, and ready to find a forever family that will embrace her gentle spirit and give her the safe, happy life she’s always deserved.

Briar, Male
Labrador Retriever, 12 week
Briar is a sweet and gentle 12-week-old Lab pup weighing in around 18 pounds now. Once he warms up to you, his goofy and affectionate side comes out—he loves snuggling close, but when he’s done, he’ll just quietly get up and toddle off for his next adventure.
Despite his young age, Briar is already showing how smart and polite he can be—he’s doing great with house training, understands when to go potty, and is learning to sit and wait for his food like a pro. He’s also crate-trained, only whining a little at first before settling down quietly. He’s been wonderful around other dogs, showing curiosity and friendliness without being pushy. Once he gets comfortable, he’s happy to play. He's respectfully curious around cats too—no barking or chasing, just an open invitation to be friends if the cat is up for it. Around kids, Briar is calm and unbothered. He lets them hold him, doesn’t get jumpy, and mostly minds his own business in the sweetest way. While he’s still got plenty of puppy energy, Briar doesn’t require tons of exercise. A short walk and some time running around the yard or playing with chew toys is more than enough to keep him content. He doesn’t need a fenced yard—he sticks close and is picking up on recall cues quickly. Briar is the kind of pup who just makes life better—he’s playful, polite, quick to learn, and incredibly respectful of the people and animals around him. He’s adjusting beautifully to home life and is ready to bring his smart, snuggly, slightly goofy charm to a lucky forever family.

Though he may whine briefly when first put in his crate, Charlie quickly settles down and sleeps through the night. He thrives in a home where he can be close to his humans and be the center of attention. Charlie is making new friends fast! Michael Woofle, Male
Labrador Retriever, 7 months
Meet Michael Woofle, an energetic and lovable 8-month-old Lab mix with the most irresistible personality! Weighing in at 30 pounds and expected to remain medium-sized as he grows, Michael is the definition of a happy, goofy pup.
He’s still working on mastering house training—he’s very close but has the occasional accident. However, he’s already crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night, settling down in his crate during the day after a little initial scratching. Michael is a social butterfly who adores people, especially kids, though his excitement can sometimes come out as jumping or playful puppy nibbles—so he may do best with older children. He gets along well with other dogs and reacts with excited barks and jumps when meeting new canine friends! While he hasn’t been tested extensively with cats, he is very interested in chasing and playing with them, so a dog-savvy cat (and supervision) would be necessary. This playful pup is always on the move—he loves running, playing fetch, tug-of-war, and especially tossing his plush toys in the air. One of his most hilarious habits is diving off the couch or footstool after a ball like he’s cannonballing into a pool. Despite his high energy, he’s also incredibly smart and would thrive with continued training and structure. He prefers to be near his people and hasn’t shown much vocalization, except when he gets extra excited! Michael adjusted quickly to his foster home and is ready to bring joy, laughter, and a lot of tail wags to his forever family. With some guidance and plenty of playtime, he’ll be the most loyal, fun-loving companion you could ask for!

At around 60 pounds, she’s a clever, adventurous girl who thrives on being part of the family. At the end of a long day, Reba is easy to manage at home—she is fully house trained and settles well in her crate, treating it as her safe space. Reba may be independent, but she thrives when given lots of mental stimulation, affection, and playtime. She could play tug of war ALL day! Daffodil, Female
Shepherd mix, 12 weeks
Meet Daffodil! This 12-week-old Shepherd mix may be the smallest of her sisters, but she’s full of bravery and charm. With her cheeky personality and playful energy, she knows exactly how to steal your heart—usually by picking out the biggest, fluffiest toy she can find and convincing you to play. And when the puppy zoomies start, you’ll always get a warning—her signature booty wiggles give it away every time!
After all that fun, Daffodil is the ultimate cuddle bug. She loves to curl up in your lap and usually drifts off to sleep in just a few minutes, making her the perfect snuggle companion. While Poppy could be the perfect solo pup, she also does so great with our resident dogs! She always wants to play, but responds to cues very well when directed. She is a typical puppy, and with proper socialization, she’ll get along with all human and furry friends. She is a bit vocal while playing and right before mealtimes, however this will fade as she continues to grow. She’s still mastering all the big-dog skills like house training and climbing stairs, but her eagerness to learn (and love of treats) make her a quick learner. If you're looking for a playful, loving pup who will keep you laughing and melt into your arms at the end of the day, Daffodil is ready to be your new best friend!

Pit Bull Mix, 7 months
Delores, affectionately known as Dori, is a 7-month-old Pitbull with a big personality packed into her petite frame! Weighing in at 30 pounds with a sleek black and white coat adorned with brindle markings, she is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog between 26-60 pounds. Dori is the perfect combination of playful energy and sweet affection—always eager to be at the center of attention and right alongside her people.
Her expressive ears are her trademark, conveying every thought and emotion with an adorable tilt or perk! Dori is fully crate-trained and “puppy house trained,” meaning she thrives in a home where her owner is consistent about letting her outside on schedule. She is fantastic in her crate, settling in quietly with a bone and never making a fuss. A social butterfly, she adores meeting other dogs and plays with boundless enthusiasm. She’s proven she can read the room well and understands when other pups need some space. She’d thrive in an environment where she can have regular playtime with other dogs to keep up on her socialization. Her behavior with cats is uncertain, though she does show a strong prey drive—her fascination with the household rabbits suggests she might be quite persistent with a feline friend. Dori’s had the chance to meet young kids and is very friendly and curious about them! She’s gentle when playing and taking treats indicating that she’d likely to very well in a home with children given continued supervision and training. Dori is a true character, bringing joy and laughter with her goofy play style—she loves to toss her toys into the air with dramatic flair and put on a show! While she is generally quiet, she has a few strong opinions about things that go “whirrrr” like vacuums and noisy appliances, but she is bravely learning to make peace with them (especially when treats are involved). She has adapted effortlessly to her foster home, demonstrating her love for comfort by snoozing belly-up with her feet in the air within 24 hours of arrival. She’s proven to be a loyal companion, wanting to join in on all daily activities, including showers! No one’s ever met a dog that loves a bath as much as Dori does. At her core, Dori is an affectionate, playful, and deeply loyal companion who is ready to bring endless love, entertainment, and snuggles to her forever home. If you’re looking for a pup who will make every day brighter with her quirky antics and unwavering devotion, Dori might just be the perfect fit for you!

Bruce, Male
Pit/Lab Mix, 3 years
Bruce is a bundle of joy with an endless supply of energy and kisses! At 70 pounds, this Pit Bull/retriever mix still believes he’s a lap dog, blissfully unaware of his size. Whether he's cuddling on the couch with his head in your lap or playing with his squeaky toys, Bruce is a happy-go-lucky pup ready to bring joy to his forever family.
Bruce has adjusted well to his new foster home and loves soaking up the affection he receives. He is house-trained (only one accident since arriving) and crate-trained, where he is usually settling down after a whine or two. While he does bark when he hears noises in his apartment building, he settles easily, making him a good fit for shared walls. His change in environment may be causing him to get an upset stomach more easily now, so he's currently on a special diet for a sensitive stomach while we figure that out. Bruce loves to make new friends—that means more playtime for him! He’s been friendly with people and the dogs he’s met so far. When he's met other dogs, they all have been 30+ pounds, so his compatibility with smaller dogs is still unknown. He hasn’t been around children or cats yet, so a slow introduction would be recommended to prevent him from unintentionally knocking someone over when he's excited. He is very energetic, so he likes all the play and walks he can get! Bruce is a fun-loving pup that adores squeaky toys, tennis balls, and anything else he can play with. While lots of playtime is helpful, he will also need regular exercise and a fenced yard to manage his high-energy personality. With his affectionate nature and fun-loving spirit, Bruce would thrive with a family that can keep up with his zest for life. If you're looking for a playful, cuddly, and sweet companion, Bruce is the perfect addition to your home!

Daphne, Female
Shepherd Mix, 1-year-old
Daphne is an adorable 1-year-old, 47 pound German Shepherd mix with a light brown, short coat and boundless energy. This playful pup is already house-trained and crate-trained, though she prefers not to spend extended periods in her crate. Daphne has a lively personality and thrives with regular exercise.
She loves running, throwing her toys for herself, and spinning in circles when she gets excited—it’s impossible not to smile around her! While she’s shy at first, Daphne warms up quickly and will become your loyal shadow, following you everywhere. She’s still adjusting to new people, dogs, and environments. A confident resident dog in her new home is required to help her build confidence and continue learning. While she’s eager to meet other dogs, she likes to take her time to get comfortable and then she’s ready to play! She hasn’t been introduced to kids or cats, but her high prey drive may make her incompatible with feline friends. Daphne is happiest with an active family who can match her energy level and provide plenty of opportunities to play and explore. A home with a fenced yard is a must to let her stretch her legs safely. While she’s not particularly vocal, she may bark when unsure about something or whine if she misses out on a good squirrel chase! If you’re ready to give this sweet, spirited pup the love and patience she needs to thrive, Daphne will reward you with endless affection and entertainment. Could you be the perfect match for this special girl?

D.O.G, Male
Mastiff Mix, 9-years-old
Meet D.O.G – The Gentle Giant D.O.G is a lovable, extra-large Mastiff/Great Dane mix with a heart as big as his 108-pound frame. At nine years old, this easygoing, affectionate boy is a true couch potato who just wants to be close to his people. His calm demeanor and gentle nature make him a fantastic companion for someone looking for a loyal, laid-back best friend!
D.O.G is the definition of a gentle giant. He adores human companionship and will happily lounge by your side, gently pawing at you if you stop petting him too soon. His signature move? A happy tail wag that goes in circles when he’s feeling content! Despite his size, he’s incredibly sweet and well-mannered. He has shown no reactivity to other dogs, and enjoys meeting new canine friends! He also does great with cats, living peacefully with multiple felines in his foster home—he may give them a sniff or a lick, but if they hiss, he quickly backs off like the big softie he is! While he hasn’t met children yet, his calm nature suggests he would do well, though due to his size, he may be best suited for a home with older kids. D.O.G is house-trained but may mark in a new environment until he settles in. He is crate-trained and does well in a large kennel/run, though he is so relaxed and low-energy that crating may not even be necessary—his favorite place is the couch, right next to you! While he is a laid-back boy, he is very strong on leash and will need an adopter who can work with him on leash manners. A fenced yard would be ideal for him to have a safe space to explore and stretch his legs without needing too much leash time. D.O.G’s story is a heartbreaking yet hopeful one—his previous owner passed away three years ago, and kind neighbors kept him fed until he was rescued. Now, he is finally getting the love and attention he deserves! He arrived with a wound on his leg, which is now healing well. He has tested positive for Lyme disease and is currently undergoing treatment. If you’re looking for a big, lovable companion who just wants to snuggle, D.O.G is your guy. He has been through a lot but remains incredibly affectionate and grateful for the love he receives. Whether he’s wagging his tail in happy circles, lounging on the couch, or pawing at you for more pets, he will steal your heart in no time.

Leo, Male
Labrador Mix, 3-year-old
Leo is a fun-loving, energetic, and affectionate 3-year-old Yellow Lab who is looking for an active home that can keep up with his playful personality. Weighing in at 65 pounds, Leo is a strong and enthusiastic companion who thrives on interaction and outdoor activity. He is fully house-trained and will sit by the patio door when he needs to go outside, whether for a bathroom break or a game of fetch—his absolute favorite activity.
He is also crate-trained and will go in willingly with a treat, remaining quiet while his humans leave, though he may bark briefly when he hears them return. A social and friendly dog, Leo gets along well with other dogs but can be a bit pushy once he gets comfortable, so he would do best with canine companions who are tolerant of his play style. He has lived with cats in his previous foster home with no issues, though dog-savvy cats are ideal. He also adores children and enjoys playing with them, but due to his size and enthusiasm, he may accidentally knock over smaller kids in his excitement. While he is incredibly sweet and never aggressive, families with children under five should be mindful of his energetic nature. Leo has a few quirks that make him extra charming. When let out of his kennel, he loves to carry around a shoe as if it’s his personal trophy. He’s also quite determined when it comes to food—if he spots a treat under the couch, he’ll do whatever it takes to retrieve it. However, this love of food also means he needs a slow feeder for his meals and supervision around accessible snacks on counters. He’s highly motivated by treats and will eagerly sit or lie down when a reward is involved! Ideally, Leo’s adopter would be someone who’s around throughout the day and able to provide daily exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation. Access to a yard would be a major bonus to allow Leo to play fetch to his heart’s content! Leo is a wonderful, loving dog who just wants to be part of an active family that will give him the attention, exercise, and companionship he craves. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate best friend, Leo is ready to fill that role!

Maynard, Male
Cattle Dog, 3-year-old
Meet Maynard (or Mater, as he's affectionately known)—a 60-pound, 3-year-old Heeler mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality! This energetic and friendly pup loves to explore the great outdoors and snuggle up with his favorite human. He's a smart, curious boy who loves toys—especially squeaky ones—and he’s always up for a game of chase, even if he hasn’t quite mastered retrieving yet.
After spending a year at a shelter, he's adjusting quickly to the comforts of home life. Maynard is fully house-trained with no accidents and willingly goes into his crate without fussing. Future training will be a breeze because he's already making great progress with leash walking and curbing his enthusiasm for jumping up. This sweet boy thrives on attention and loves to burrow into you for pets. While he does well when left alone during the day, he’ll need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy. A fenced yard would be ideal to let him run and burn off energy, though an active family willing to provide outdoor adventures could also keep him content. Maynard may need some guidance on making friends with other dogs, or may prefer to be the only dog in the household, as he's a little dog-selective when he plays with his foster siblings. He hasn't had much interaction with cats or kids while in our care, so careful introductions are recommended. He’s looking for patient adopters who will continue his training, embrace his playful spirit, and provide the love he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic companion to join your adventures, Maynard is ready to meet you!

Bonnie, Female
Retriever Mix, 9-years-old
Bonnie is a 9-year-old Lab mix who loves to explore! Bonnie loves her walks more than anything, but at home, she will roll over and direct your hand to give her a belly rub. She would thrive in a home that values both her love for adventure and her appreciation for a cozy nap.
Bonnie will happily trot alongside you 3-4 times a day. This is great because she’s also a bit overweight, so she is slowly trimming down with regular exercise. She’s respectful of human belongings but isn’t shy about showing off her playful side, tossing her toys around and jumping excitedly in the yard with her tennis ball. While she enjoys her exercise, she also knows the value of relaxation and is just as content stretching out on the couch for some quality downtime. She has adjusted well to her foster home after some initial anxiety, where it took her a few days before settling into a more relaxed routine. While she’s not crate-trained, she does just fine being left alone in the house and isn’t destructi6ve. She barks occasionally when she wants attention or when something excites her, like a door slamming, but she quiets down quickly. She may not be an ideal fit for shared walls (apartments/townhomes), so this is something to keep in mind for her progress. Bonnie is still learning how she feels about other dogs. Sometimes she doesn’t react to them at all, while other times she tends to bark. Based on the interactions she’s had while in foster care, we think Bonnie would prefer to be the sole dog of the household or share her space with another mellow dog. A meet and greet may be recommended prior to adopting her to a home with other dogs. She has done well with a cat test, so we have no concerns about living with feline friends. So far, she’s had the chance to meet a couple of toddlers and loved their company! Bonnie would likely do well in a home with children around. Bonnie is affectionate, independent when she wants to be, and full of quirks that will make you smile, from her adorable little stump tail wagging when you come home to the way she sings along with sirens. If you’re looking for a sweet, mature dog who will be both your walking buddy and your snuggle companion, Bonnie is ready to meet you!

Yumi, Female
Bulldog Mix, 1-year-old
Yumi is a 1-2-year-old Bulldog mix who is eager to explore the world around her! Weighing in at 43 lbs, she makes the silliest noises when she's sleeping or sniffing on a walk, and her adorable full-body wiggles are sure to bring joy to any home. This sweet girl adjusted very easily to her foster home, and is both house-trained and crate-trained.
While she was a little anxious for the first 24 hours, all she needs is some extra love and lots of blankets in her crate to keep cozy. She makes for a great roommate because of how she loves to lounge and snuggle—especially when belly rubs are involved!—and isn't noisy when left alone. Yumi thrives on mental stimulation and loves food puzzles, learning new tricks, and going on adventures. While she doesn’t need a fenced yard to burn off energy, her foster family says she does well with a mix of short and long walks throughout the day (totaling 1.5 to 2 hours). For future training, her new family should be mindful of her past as a stray dog and tendency to scavenge on walks, but training should be a breeze with positive reinforcement. When she's at home, she's happy to sniff around, play with soft toys and chew on a kong. She gets very curious about anything new and learns very quickly, so she should do well when introduced to new friends. She hasn’t been tested with other dogs or cats but shows curiosity and excitement when seeing dogs from a distance. Her foster family does not have concerns about being introduced to children, but a proper introduction is always recommended. If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate dog who’s eager to learn and cuddle, Yumi might be the perfect match for you!

Patty Melt, Female
Shar Pei/Lab mix, 3-years-old
Patty Melt is a lovable, 3-year-old Shar Pei/Lab mix with the most endearing wrinkled face! Weighing in at 35 pounds, she is still working on gaining some healthy weight but is expected to stay within the medium size range once fully filled out.
This sweet girl is house-trained (has never had an accident indoors) and is working on crate training. She is friendly with other dogs and enjoys their company but hasn’t had the chance to meet any cats yet. While she hasn’t been introduced to children, she has a gentle and calm demeanor and has been friendly with everyone she’s met so far. Patty has a unique, adorable personality that will quickly win you over. She is a quiet companion who loves being close to her people without being overly demanding. She enjoys curling up at your feet, following you around to see what you’re up to, and sneaking onto the couch to lean against you. She’s a big “leaner” and will happily rest against you for comfort. One of her cutest quirks is how she falls asleep almost instantly—sometimes in the funniest positions! Patty came from a tough past—she was abandoned and malnourished, which has made her a bit cautious with food. She sometimes needs encouragement to eat and is picky about treats. Due to her past, she also experiences some separation anxiety. While she doesn’t destroy anything when left alone, she will whine and howl, jumping from furniture to windows in hopes of seeing you return. She is improving, but she would thrive in a home where her humans can see her periodically throughout the day. Despite her initial shyness, Patty has adjusted well to her foster home and loves being with her people. She enjoys walks, chasing squirrels, and playing with her beloved stuffed bear. She can entertain herself but also loves interactive play and may even learn to fetch with a little encouragement. While she doesn’t need a fenced yard, an active owner who takes her on hikes and/or adventures would be ideal. Overall, Patty Melt is a sweet, chill, and affectionate girl who just wants to be loved. She has so much love to give in return and is looking for a patient, caring forever home that will help her continue to gain confidence and feel secure. Could she be the perfect fit for your family?

Penny, Female
Labrador Retriever, 2.5-years-old
Meet Penny! Penny is a 2.5-year-old black Labrador Retriever with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. Weighing 60 pounds, she’s a medium-sized pup who is still learning the ropes of home life after coming from a difficult past.
While she wasn’t potty-trained when she arrived in her foster home, she has made incredible progress and is now fully potty trained! She does best when let outside regularly throughout the day, but she can comfortably hold it overnight. Penny is fully crate-trained and finds comfort in her crate at night and when home alone. This affectionate girl is a total sweetheart and absolutely adores people. While she hasn’t been around kids yet, her gentle nature suggests she’d likely do well with them. When it comes to making dog friends, she does not show aggression but will require more training and socialization. For now, she will not be a match for homes with resident dogs. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet. Penny’s personality is a perfect mix of playful and cuddly. She loves squeaky toys, rope toys for tug of war, and chasing after tennis balls. When she’s not playing, she’s happiest curled up next to her humans (or on their lap if she can manage it!). One of her cutest quirks is her head tilt when you talk to her—she seems to be trying to understand every word. She’s also incredibly observant and will intently watch you cook or clean as if she’s studying the process. And with her white “sock” paws, she looks like she’s always dressed for a fancy event! Energy-wise, Penny is moderately active. She enjoys two short walks a day (15-20 minutes each) but thrives with extra playtime, like fetch or tug of war, to burn off some energy. She isn’t overly vocal—she rarely barks unless she spots a critter or a stranger near the house. While she loves having her people around, she is comfortable in her crate when left alone for longer periods. Overall, Penny is a smart, loving, and resilient dog who is eager to keep learning and growing. She needs a home that will continue to guide her with patience and positive reinforcement, but in return, she’ll provide endless affection, laughter, and companionship. Could Penny be the perfect addition to your family?

Dahlia, Female
Pitbull Terrier, 5 years
Hi! My name is Dahlia, but I also have many fun nicknames - Dolly, Dolly Dingo, and Dolly Doobers! I’m a 5-year-old adorable lady who loves to give kisses! I may weigh 67-pounds but I consider myself a lap dog! I just love my people!
It's probable that I had a lot of puppies in my past. I was picked up by animal control and stayed in the shelter for a month before going to a Pet Haven foster home where I could thrive. Due to my past, I'm a bit timid at first but I warm up quickly with a gentle approach! I know how to sit at food time and do well in a crate for the most part! Because of my size and playful nature, I would do best in a home with older kids. I love human kids but I want to be your one and only fur-child! I'm a very, very sweet lover girl who just wants to be your favorite companion and best buddy!

Say hello to April! April is a 1.5 year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix and 59 lbs of pure energy and affection. April might take a bit of time to gain confidence around new people, but once she does she will be your best friend forever!
She understands that her calling in life is to act as her human's shadow and will go the extra mile in order to not miss out on any action happening at home. This might even include her licking your hair while you catch up on your latest Netflix binge! April is house trained. It is likely that April used to spend most of her time outdoors, so she may need a bit of guidance as to where the appropriate place to go potty is. She has caught on quickly in her foster home, no accidents! April is also crate trained. She does well in her crate at night and while home alone. While April prefers to see her humans throughout the day, she does well when left home alone and has not been known to vocalize or be destructive. She requires a medium level of activity and is content with a daily walk and plenty of stuffed toys to play with! April is a curious girl who would love to have a fenced yard to sniff around in but it is not required. April has enjoyed meeting and playing with dogs in her foster home and does very well. She prefers to have a confident dog around to help teach her how to be the best pup! Ideally, April would find a forever home that has a built-in canine companion but it is not required. When it comes to cats, April has yet to meet one! She has shown signs of a prey drive so a meet-and-greet would be necessary if there is a cat in the household. When April is feeling playful, her energy can be very high! Her play style is all in good fun but this may overwhelm young children as she can get a bit mouthy. She would do best in a household with children 13 years and older. April is ready to meet her forever home! With patience and consistent structure she will blossom into the perfect companion that anyone could ask for. If you're interested in learning more about April and think she might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes her family will be lucky they did.

Pebbles, Female
Bull Terrier, 4 years
This 4-year-old Bully mix is full of love and personality! Weighing 52 pounds, Pebbles is a snuggly "pittypotamus" who adores her people, earning her title as a champion cuddler and napper.
Pebbles’ past life as a breeding dog has shaped her need for patience and understanding. While she was initially cautious of her new foster home, once she settled, she really knew how to make herself comfortable. She is fully house-trained and crate-trained, happily settling into her crate with the help of a treat. Her favorite activities include sleeping, chewing on toys, and, of course, cuddling. She’s a snoring aficionado with a quirky ability to "sing" with her humans. Her ideal home is one that respects her boundaries, values her quirks, and provides her with the love and security she deserves. Despite her love for walks, Pebbles takes a leisurely approach to exercise and enjoys short strolls at her own pace. While she’s generally calm overall, Pebbles has some leash reactivity when encountering dogs outside the home and benefits from careful introductions. Pebbles is still learning to trust new friends, so careful introductions have been key. She has been socialized with resident dogs and has shown promise, though she cannot live with cats. Pebbles thrives with dog-savvy humans and older kids, as she does resource guard high-value treats and chews. Her foster reports she’s been great with their 8-year-old child, but caution and supervision are necessary in homes with younger kids. She’s currently undergoing muzzle training for vet visits and grooming to ensure everyone’s safety. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’s equal parts lazy and loving, Pebbles is ready to make your home her own.

Blitz, Male
Lab mix, 9 months
Meet Blitz! This 9 month-old Labrador mix is an ultimate goofball and lover looking for his forever family! Blitz is looking for a home that will allow him to meet his energy needs while giving him a safe space to cuddle at the end of the day
While a young guy, he's made tremendous strides since being in rescue and is eager to keep learning how to be a dog! Blitz adores being around other dogs and is always game to play. He is very excitable when meeting new dogs in public and wants everyone to be his friend! He's great at picking up on dog's cues and meeting them at their level when interacting. Blitz has not done well around the cats he's met so far and it's not recommended he is around them long-term. Due to his breed and age, his prey drive plays a factor when interacting with smaller critters! As far as kids go, he's a bit more hesitant than he is with adults but does okay. We recommend a meet and greet prior to adopting to a home with children and continued training with child interactions. He's been doing well with crate training and spending time alone. He's been known to let out the occasional bark or howl, so a home with shared walls may not be ideal but is still possible. He's been used to a fenced yard and it would be a major bonus if his forever home has one too! Blitz prefers a medium to high activity level and will appreciate it if he can utilize a fenced yard to let off some additional steam. Blitz is a very lovable guy who learns very quickly! His ideal forever home will be one that's dedicated to his continued training and can give him the daily enrichment and socialization he needs. If you're interested in learning more about Blitz and think he might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes his family will feel lucky they did.

Luna, Female
German Shepherd, 8 years
Luna is a 6 to 7-year-old German Shepherd mix, weighing in at 100 pounds of pure love. She's the perfect blend of playful and chill, always ready for a walk or a cozy snuggle session. Luna's favorite pastime? Enjoying her squeaky toy, Poppy--a pop tart-shaped toy that she loves to gently squeak while relaxing.
Luna is the epitome of a loyal, gentle, and protective companion. She forms deep bonds with her family, making her the perfect guardian. While she can be a bit wary of strangers, especially in her home, Luna is working with a professional trainer to manage her anxiety around new people. With continued training, she’ll keep growing and learning to be more comfortable with unfamiliar faces. Fully house-trained, Luna knows exactly when it’s time to go outside, signaling by lying down or heading to the back door. She’s also crate-trained, viewing her crate as a safe and relaxing haven. Luna enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along well with her foster family's resident pup. She’s friendly with neighbor dogs too, though her interactions are mainly through the fence. Currently, she lives with two teenage girls and does wonderfully with them. However, because of her cautious nature around strangers, Luna might be best suited to a home without small children. She’s also not compatible with cats. Even though Luna is alert to people outside, she's unbothered by typical house or neighborhood sounds, making her well-suited for homes with shared walls. A fenced yard is a must for Luna—she will need plenty of room to run safely! While she does need calming medication for vet visits, she’s otherwise healthy and ready to be someone’s perfect companion. Luna would thrive in a quieter home where visitors are infrequent. She’s a gentle soul who will give endless love and loyalty to her new family. Luna’s past might be a mystery, but her future is bright. If you’re looking for a devoted, loving companion, Luna could be the perfect fit for your home.

Bandit, Male
Husky, 6 years
This 6-year-old Husky is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly! At 65 pounds, Bandit is a large, playful, and sweet boy who is ready to be your partner in crime. He is always ready to cuddle up to you and he'll let you know—he's happy to paw at you or nudge your arm with his nose to get your attention!
Like many Huskies, Bandit has plenty of energy and would thrive with multiple walks or play sessions daily. He enjoys gnawing on bones or teething toys, and matches the energy of younger dogs during playtime. Despite his high energy, he’s calm and relaxed when it’s just him. Bandit has had great experiences with other dogs and with children. He is friendly and has previously lived with multiple children, so he makes for a great family dog! While his behavior with cats is unknown, Bandit is generally good-natured and adaptable. Bandit has adapted to his new foster home very well so far, though some training will still be needed. He’s crate-trained, comfortable spending time there when needed, and occasionally naps in his crate voluntarily. He is house-trained, and stays calm and respectful with belongings when home alone. When it comes to future training, he will still need to break his habit of marking his territory indoors, and stealing food off of plates—he's just so quick! Bandit is also a classic Husky escape artist, so he will require a secure, fenced yard to ensure his safety. This cuddly, energetic Husky is ready for a family who can provide him with the exercise, training, and love he needs to thrive. If you’re looking for a loyal and playful companion who doubles as a couch cuddler, Bandit is your guy!

Chomps, Female
Pit Bull/Mastiff Mix, 1 year
This 1-year-old Mastiff mix has a striking brindle coat and a big personality to match! Weighing 52 pounds, Chomps is an energetic and playful girl with a flair for the dramatic, prancing and galloping like a little horse around the yard. She is ready to find a family that will appreciate her quirks and help her continue to grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be.
Crate-trained and house-trained (with an occasional accident), Chomps loves to snuggle in bed or curl up with a blanket she’s pulled into her crate. She loves chewing on toys and bones, a habit that inspired her adorable name! Be prepared for lots of enthusiastic nibbling and endless bone-chewing sessions. While she's still learning how to be the best roommate, she is vocal and will let you know how she’s feeling, so she’s not a good fit for homes with shared walls (apartments/condos). Chomps thrives on attention and loves to play! She’s great with kids of all ages, but her high-energy play style and tendency to jump mean she’ll need guidance to play appropriately. A confident resident dog will be required to help her learn the ropes, and her future family should help to continue her socialization. While she hasn’t met cats yet, she’d likely do well in a structured and supervised introduction. With her higher energy level, she’ll need daily exercise—walks, playtime, or any activity to keep her busy. Chomps' future home will need a fenced yard to give her space to run and play. If you’re looking for a high-energy, fun-loving, and affectionate dog who will keep you entertained and shower you with love, Chomps is ready to be your new best friend!

Brownie, Male
Shepherd Mix, 1 year 4 months
This 1-year-old Shepherd mix is equal parts gentle giant and affectionate cuddle bug! At 52 pounds (and growing!), Brownie is a total sweetheart who's ready to lounge by your side, showering you with adoring looks and plenty of kisses.
This boy is great with kids and shows no issues around them, making him an excellent addition to a family. He also interacts well with other dogs, barking only once to say hello before calmly moving along. While he hasn’t had experience with cats, his curious and gentle demeanor suggests he may be able to adjust with proper introductions. Brownie has adjusted well to his foster home and is learning more every day. He’s crate-trained and will settle when needed, but he much prefers snuggling on a cozy bed with you as your perfect Netflix buddy. He will need a little supervision while house-training is perfected—he’s great at signaling when he needs to go but might have occasional accidents. Brownie has a big bark and occasional whines, so he is not a match for homes with shared walls (apartments/condos). Despite his large size and deep bark, he’s still figuring out how to handle his growing body, often scratching awkwardly or accidentally bumping into things, which only adds to his goofy charm. Brownie loves a daily walk and a good play session with toys and bones (destruction included!), but he’s happiest when he’s close to his people. He would do best in a house with a fenced yard where he can safely stretch his legs and enjoy the outdoors. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will make your home his whole world, Brownie is ready to meet you!

Tina, Female
Bully/Mastiff/Shepherd, 1 year
This 1-year-old, Bully/Mastiff/Corso/Shepherd mix is a sweet and playful pup who radiates happiness—just wait until you see her signature smile! Currently weighing 52 pounds, Tina is a sweet and affectionate dog who thrives on praise and attention.
At home, she is a cuddle bug and loves to crawl on your lap or snuggle in next to you on the couch. She has a timid nature but once she warms up to you she will be your loyal companion and loves to be involved in whatever is going on. Tina is house and crate-trained, and sleeps in her crate at night. However, she can be trusted on her own outside of her crate, too (just put your remote controls away!). She is generally a calm dog, but will get the occasional zoomies and enjoys zipping around the yard. When Tina is ready to play, she loves zoomies in the yard, gnawing on her favorite bones, and collecting rocks! She loves finding rocks in the yard and hiding them in her special corner of the patio (and trying to sneak them in the house). Tina would love a fenced yard to give her the outdoor playtime she craves. She does not really like walks so being able to roam and run freely in the yard has been her main outlet for sniffs and exercise. Tina is well socialized to other dogs, has a submissive nature, and gets along great with her resident foster brother. She would be fine as a solo dog or with canine pals. She plays great with kids and enjoys interacting with other dogs, though she may bark at at first. If you’re looking for a sweet, smiley, and playful furry friend who will bring boundless energy and affection to your life, Tina might just be your perfect match! If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Bruno & Rodent, Male/Female
Shih Tzu/Maltese, 4 years/7 months
Meet Bruno and Rodent, an adorable Maltese-Shih Tzu father-daughter duo who are as inseparable as they are charming. Bruno, estimated to be 3–4 years old, weighs 12 pounds and his 7-month-old daughter, Rodent—affectionately nicknamed “Ro”—is a petite 7-pound bundle of joy. Together, they make the perfect pair of playful, cuddly companions, each bringing their own unique personality and quirks to the table.
Bruno is a gentle and affectionate pup who thrives on being close to his people and his daughter. He loves snuggling on the couch, proudly parading around with his favorite stuffed toys, and going for short walks. While he takes a little time to adjust to new surroundings, he blossoms into a confident and happy companion once he feels secure. Rodent, on the other hand, is a silly and playful pup who enjoys zooming around the house and chasing her tail before settling in for cuddles. She’s self-entertaining and loves barking at her reflection in the mirror, keeping everyone entertained with her goofy antics. Both Bruno and Rodent are crate-trained and feel comfortable in their crates, though Bruno may bark a bit when first crated. They are making good progress with house training, doing well with potty pads indoors, but will need patience and consistency to fully master the skill. Bruno and Rodent are also great with other dogs, and while they haven’t been exposed to children, their calm and friendly demeanor suggests they could do well with kids. They’ve previously lived with cats and are undergoing slow introductions to the cats in their foster home, indicating they could likely coexist with feline friends in their future home. Bruno and Rodent are moderately energetic, enjoying playtime with toys and each other but not requiring long walks to tire them out. A bit of exercise and attention are all they need before they’re ready to settle in for naps and cuddles. They’re both vocal at times, especially when meeting new people or responding to loud noises, so this might be something to consider for apartment living. Bruno is healthy overall but does have a dermoid on his right eye, a condition where a hair growing out of his eye. Surgery is recommended in the next few years. Adopters should be prepared to consult a specialist, with an estimated cost of $1–2K for the procedure. This sweet pair would thrive in a calm, loving home where they can continue their training and enjoy plenty of affection. They’d do well with someone patient and attentive who can help them feel secure while supporting their progress with house training. If you’re looking for a bonded pair of goofy, loving companions, Bruno and Rodent are ready to bring double the love and joy into your life.

Cleo, Female
Chihuahua/Pug, 7 years
Alright, STOP. Collaborate and listen... She cute but she is expensive. Cleo will need prescription food and medication for the remainder of her life. Still interested? Read on! Straight from her foster's mouth to your ears.. erhmm.. eyes.. learn more about Cleo directly from the source!
They say diamonds are a girl's best friend.. And you better have a lot of them. To sell. To pay for her vet care. Haha! Just kidding! *looks around* Kind of.. Cleo has a condition called protein-losing enteropathy (PLE) caused by irritable bowel disease. She loses proteins from her bloodstream into her GI tract faster than her body can replenish them and her medical management helps regulate this condition. Cleo's daily life is unaffected by this and she does your everyday dog things. The only addition is giving her medication (pills) with her morning and evening meals which she takes without problem. Still interested? Then you're ready to hear our secret.. ---- Cleo is a GEM. A truly one-of-a-kind companion. So without further ado, here's what you need to know about Cleo! Extremely smart. Eats her own poop. In a glass-half-full kind of world, you could consider her a self-poop picker-upper. (But really, you are going to have to go out in those subzero temps and pick up her poop before she does.) In all seriousness, she is one of the best potty-trained dogs we have ever had. And she understands cues so quickly. She even knows sit, shake, high five, and can catch her food mid-air! Farts can clear a room. They just get stronger. Rootin' Tootin' Cleo should be in the Guinness Book of Records or something. Teeters on being the fun police. Still fun. Cleo coexists with dogs big and small but can sometimes be a playtime hall monitor. That said, if she finds the right dog with the right playstyle, she has a good time playing chase and wrestling! Loves tug o' war. Hates fetch. If you throw her toy, she's going to look at you like what are you even doing. On a scale of one to barky, she's about a five. While Cleo doesn't bark all day long, she is going to warn you about car doors slamming, people talking, the general goings on of the world. And her bark be loud so shared walls may not be the best fit for her. She stops with some guidance pretty quickly.. usually.. sometimes.. Loves food. Hates sharing. Cleo's favorite times of the day are, hands down, breakfast and dinner. And she's got that only child syndrome (I can say that, I'm an only child) where everything is hers. Her food. Her toys. Your food. All hers. And she will tell anyone who needs to know. Cleo doesn't currently live with cats but has in the past and takes it in stride. As long as she's the center of attention, that's all she really needs. Supposedly a Chihuahua/Pug mix. Definitely just as needy. Pug parents, am I right? Cleo will climb on your lap, push her way to your hands, and really doesn't care if she's stepping on another dog to get to the top. We mean that figuratively. Well.. except for those times when she's literally walking over a dog to get to you. Likes to give kisses. Licks everything. Literally everything.. the couch, the floor, the carpet, the coffee table, your clothes, and your face. Cleo is great with kids of all ages but it's probably best that she live in a home with teens or no kids on account of how much she loves food. Because she has PLE, Cleo needs to be on a restricted diet and can't be catching scraps or snagging food from those little hands. Because she would. She totally would. This girl's personality is a great balance of play and chill, and she walks so well on a leash.. when it's actually warm out.. A lap dog through and through, Cleo wants to be snuggled in with you, often under a blanket (Chihuahua parents, you get it). She's content to snooze on the couch or a dog bed when you're gone and she can fit into any social situation. Cleo is one of the best dogs out there and whoever has the privilege of adopting her is going to know love (and toots) beyond measure!
