“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring — it was peace.” – Milan Kundera (Author, The Unbearable Lightness of Being)

Ocho, Male
American Bulldog/Boxer, 7 years
This handsome guy is Ocho, a 7-year-old American Bulldog/Boxer mix ready to find his forever home! Ocho is quite the catch as he is as low-maintenance as dogs come. It doesn't take much from his human(s), sometimes its just a smile, to make his stub of a tail wag and let you know he's enjoying life.
Although he may look serious, this boy is a total goof and the sweetest of dogs. Ocho will make you smile daily, but especially when you come home or he sees someone he knows and jumps/dances with his legs straight to do the funniest of taps. He's a tank but surprisingly light on his feet! Ocho absolutely loves his people and when he knows you, he trusts you for life. He may take a moment to warm up but once he does, he'll be rolling over for belly rubs and snuggles with the biggest of smiles. He loves to sit next to you or against you when given a comfy spot to rest. Ocho has and currently lives with other dogs and does well. Like with people, he just needs a hot sec to warm up. He particularly loves the occasional short play with one of his foster siblings (he's low energy) and enjoys a good walk but doesn't need one. He'd be down for a hike or time in the yard (his recall is great) and would likely appreciate a mellow canine companion. He has also previously lived with cats but would likely prefer a home without feline energy. Ocho has a history of living with kids and reportedly did okay. Since coming into rescue, he's shown that he's not a fan. For this reason, it is best that Ocho finds a forever home that does not have children in the household and we recommend slow and supervised interactions when he encounters them in the future. Ocho isn't a big fan of chaos and would prefer a chill home to spend his best years. Besides his family, what Ocho loves most is a ball. He especially likes to chew on a ball, fetch a ball, or simply sleep on a ball. If a ball is around he'll be content. He is also into toys, especially squeakers. In new spaces Ocho can initially vocalize when left alone so shared walls are not recommended. With time he is fine being left solo, just trying to work his sweetness on you. ike most Bulldogs/Boxers, Ocho can run a bit sensitive so appreciates the current medication he's on that has helped his body heal from the previous living environment he was in. He has since become a beautiful, healthy pup. Ocho is the epitome of a dream dog and a content companion ready to bring happiness to whatever family is lucky enough to get to call him their dog.

Toby, Male
Chihuahua/Beagle Mix, 1.5 years
Toby, affectionately nicknamed Cartoon Dog and Little Buddy, is a sweet, affectionate, and playful pup who’s ready to find his forever home. Although he came to his foster family a little shy, Toby has blossomed into a happy-go-lucky dog who loves cuddling, playing, and following his people around.
Toby gets along famously with everyone—big and small dogs, cats, and even kids! He’s currently fostered with a mix of pets and does great. That said, because he’s still a puppy at heart, he can get playful and may occasionally try to play bite, so children in the home should know how to interact gently with him. Toby loves plush toys, belly rubs, and snuggling up with his foster humans. He’s crate-trained and feels comfortable in his crate, making it a great tool for his continued house-training journey (he’s about 75% there!). He has medium energy—he enjoys running in the yard but is also happy to chill and relax indoors. Toby would love a home where he can continue to thrive with lots of love, snuggles, and a bit of structured playtime. While he doesn’t need a fenced yard, he’d enjoy a space to run and explore. He’s not vocal except for the occasional bark when excited or wanting attention (classic beagle charm!), and while he loves being around people, he doesn’t require someone to be home 24/7. If you’re looking for a small, sweet, and affectionate companion who loves to play and cuddle in equal measure, Toby is the dog for you. He’s guaranteed to bring joy, laughter, and endless love into your life. Are you ready to meet him?

Stella, Female
Chihuahua/Beagle, 2 years
Stella is a 2-year-old Beagle/Chihuahua mix who is the perfect combination of sweet and spunky. Her sense of humor shines when she chomps loudly on her food, lets out dramatic sighs, or meanders down the sidewalk in anything but a straight line.
She’s a big dog in a little body, always curious and eager to sniff whatever you’re eating, just to let you know she’s paying attention. When she’s not playing fetch or stealing socks, Stella can often be found gazing out the window, keeping tabs on the world around her. Though shy and anxious when she first arrived in her foster home, Stella quickly blossomed into a cuddlebug extraordinaire. She thrives on affection, and her favorite activities include snuggling up with her people, belly rubs, and playtime. Stella loves to show off her playful personality—when she's excited, she'll carry a toy around proudly or even entertain herself by tossing it and fetching it on her own! Stella is house-trained and can use pee pads if necessary, and while she isn’t a fan of going into her crate, she settles quietly and comfortably once inside. This sweet pup is content with a short daily walk and enjoys quiet moments indoors just as much as outdoor adventures. While she’s nervous about car rides and barks briefly at noises outside, she calms down quickly and doesn’t bark excessively. Stella does not require a fenced yard, as long as she gets some time outdoors to explore and sniff around. In her previous home, Stella lived with kids, dogs and cats, so we have no doubts she is a perfect family dog. While she's been in her foster home, she has just been more reserved when meeting new people and animals, so she may need a little time to warm up to them. She might need a few meetings to feel fully comfortable with strangers. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate dog with a touch of silliness, Stella is your perfect match!

Blackie, Male
Rat Terrier Mix, 9 years
Meet Blackie– the ultimate lap dog! Blackie is a sweet, affectionate 9 year-old Terrier mix who’s happiest when snuggled up in your lap for a long nap or lounging by your side for some quality bonding time. He’s the kind of dog that brings quiet joy to a home—calm, loyal, and eager to love his human.
Within hours of arriving at his foster home, Blackie was happily asking for back scratches and cozy lap time, proving just how quickly he bonds with those he trusts. Blackie is fully house-trained and a polite little gentleman when it comes to potty breaks—he’s happy to go on leash or explore the yard. He’s also crate-trained and willingly goes into his crate at night or when needed. While he does bark for a bit when his foster mom leaves for work, but will quickly settle in for his daily naps. Blackie is mild-mannered and doesn’t require a high level of activity—just a quick walk around the yard or a short stroll will do. He loves sniffing out new smells during his explorations and makes the cutest little grunting sounds while doing so, guaranteed to make you smile! He’s still getting used to life with other dogs and seems a bit nervous around them, so he may prefer to be the only pet in his forever home or introduced slowly to resident dogs. He’s shown no interest in cats during brief encounters and would likely do fine in a calm, quiet environment. Blackie is a gentle soul who wants nothing more than to love and be loved in return. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly, and easygoing companion, Blackie is ready to fill your life with quiet joy, laughter (thanks to his cute little habits), and unconditional love. He’s patiently waiting for the perfect lap to call his forever home—could it be yours?

Bandit, Male
Husky, 6 years
This 6-year-old Husky is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly! At 65 pounds, Bandit is a large, playful, and sweet boy who is ready to be your partner in crime. He is always ready to cuddle up to you and he'll let you know—he's happy to paw at you or nudge your arm with his nose to get your attention!
Like many Huskies, Bandit has plenty of energy and would thrive with multiple walks or play sessions daily. He enjoys gnawing on bones or teething toys, and matches the energy of younger dogs during playtime. Despite his high energy, he’s calm and relaxed when it’s just him. Bandit has had great experiences with other dogs and with children. He is friendly and has previously lived with multiple children, so he makes for a great family dog! While his behavior with cats is unknown, Bandit is generally good-natured and adaptable. Bandit has adapted to his new foster home very well so far, though some training will still be needed. He’s crate-trained, comfortable spending time there when needed, and occasionally naps in his crate voluntarily. He is house-trained, and stays calm and respectful with belongings when home alone. When it comes to future training, he will still need to break his habit of marking his territory indoors, and stealing food off of plates—he's just so quick! Bandit is also a classic Husky escape artist, so he will require a secure, fenced yard to ensure his safety. This cuddly, energetic Husky is ready for a family who can provide him with the exercise, training, and love he needs to thrive. If you’re looking for a loyal and playful companion who doubles as a couch cuddler, Bandit is your guy!

Eeyore, Male
Pit Bull Mix, 8 years
Eeyore is a Pitbull mix with a heart full of love. Weighing 46 pounds, he’s an easy-going sweetheart who has overcome a tough past of neglect and blossomed into a healthy and playful companion. He's sure to win you over with his charm, and he's so smart, he knows he's tricked you into loving him too!
Despite his tough start, Eeyore’s past hasn’t dampened his spirit. He loves cuddling up with his humans (yes, all 46 pounds of him will happily sit on your lap), playing frisbee, and enthusiastically destroying stuffed animals. When he’s happy, his tail wags so fast it could power a windmill! His favorite activity, however, is just being with you and getting petted. Eeyore is an easygoing, low-maintenance dog who enjoys walks and is great on a leash. He would thrive with a family who can give him daily walks, some playtime, and lots of affection. At home, he's very polite and only barks occasionally when someone comes to the door. Eeyore is fully house-trained, though he had a few accidents initially as he settled into his new surroundings. He’s crate-trained but doesn’t necessarily need a crate, as he’s well-behaved and finds comfort in the safety of his new environment. This mellow soul gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has been tolerant with cats, showing no interest in them at all. While he hasn’t been extensively tested with kids, his calm demeanor suggests he’d do well with older children due to occasional jumping. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a heartwarming story, Eeyore is ready to wag his way into your home and your heart!

Dodger, Male
Husky, 2 years
Have you even seen a cuter husky? This 2-year-old, 60-pound Siberian Husky has a stunning black-and-white coat and a personality as charming as his looks! Whether he's tossing toys around, having fun with friends at doggie daycare, or crossing his front paws in his signature lounging pose, Dodger will steal your heart.
This sweet and playful boy is fully house-trained and crate-trained—his crate is his cozy safe haven. Dodger has adjusted well into his foster home, bonding very easily and getting comfortable on all the furniture. He loves to talk, especially when he's excited to come out of his crate or ready to play. He thrives on daily activity, like going for runs with his humans, long walks, or playing with other dogs. While he's not overly hyper, he does need consistent exercise to stay happy, and could use a little more leash training. Because of his loud talking and his energy levels, Dodger will need a fenced yard with a 4-foot fence minimum or a running partner, and a home without shared walls (no apartments/condos). Dodger loves playing with other dogs, but is still learning from always being an only-dog. He gets along with his foster sister and could adjust to having a canine sibling or enjoy being the sole center of attention. However, he does not share toys well or play well with small dogs, so a home where this can be managed effectively is important. He has lived with cats and children in the past, but a supervised introduction would be required before going to a new home. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and talkative companion, Dodger is ready to charm his way into your heart and home!

Chomps, Female
Pit Bull/Mastiff Mix, 1 year
This 1-year-old Mastiff mix has a striking brindle coat and a big personality to match! Weighing 52 pounds, Chomps is an energetic and playful girl with a flair for the dramatic, prancing and galloping like a little horse around the yard. She is ready to find a family that will appreciate her quirks and help her continue to grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be.
Crate-trained and house-trained (with an occasional accident), Chomps loves to snuggle in bed or curl up with a blanket she’s pulled into her crate. She loves chewing on toys and bones, a habit that inspired her adorable name! Be prepared for lots of enthusiastic nibbling and endless bone-chewing sessions. While she's still learning how to be the best roommate, she is vocal and will let you know how she’s feeling, so she’s not a good fit for homes with shared walls (apartments/condos). Chomps thrives on attention and loves to play! She’s great with kids of all ages, but her high-energy play style and tendency to jump mean she’ll need guidance to play appropriately. A confident resident dog will be required to help her learn the ropes, and her future family should help to continue her socialization. While she hasn’t met cats yet, she’d likely do well in a structured and supervised introduction. With her higher energy level, she’ll need daily exercise—walks, playtime, or any activity to keep her busy. Chomps' future home will need a fenced yard to give her space to run and play. If you’re looking for a high-energy, fun-loving, and affectionate dog who will keep you entertained and shower you with love, Chomps is ready to be your new best friend!

Brownie, Male
Shepherd Mix, 4 years
This 1-year-old Shepherd mix is equal parts gentle giant and affectionate cuddle bug! At 52 pounds (and growing!), Brownie is a total sweetheart who's ready to lounge by your side, showering you with adoring looks and plenty of kisses.
This boy is great with kids and shows no issues around them, making him an excellent addition to a family. He also interacts well with other dogs, barking only once to say hello before calmly moving along. While he hasn’t had experience with cats, his curious and gentle demeanor suggests he may be able to adjust with proper introductions. Brownie has adjusted well to his foster home and is learning more every day. He’s crate-trained and will settle when needed, but he much prefers snuggling on a cozy bed with you as your perfect Netflix buddy. He will need a little supervision while house-training is perfected—he’s great at signaling when he needs to go but might have occasional accidents. Brownie has a big bark and occasional whines, so he is not a match for homes with shared walls (apartments/condos). Despite his large size and deep bark, he’s still figuring out how to handle his growing body, often scratching awkwardly or accidentally bumping into things, which only adds to his goofy charm. Brownie loves a daily walk and a good play session with toys and bones (destruction included!), but he’s happiest when he’s close to his people. He would do best in a house with a fenced yard where he can safely stretch his legs and enjoy the outdoors. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will make your home his whole world, Brownie is ready to meet you!

Nonnie, Female
Lab Mix, 1 year
Meet Nonnie, an adorable 1-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who’s full of love, playfulness, and a zest for life! Weighing around 42 pounds, Nonnie is a perfect medium-sized pup who’s equally happy to be playing fetch as she is snoozing by your side
Nonnie’s journey has been a bit tough—she arrived at her foster home with a serious illness, but with care and love, she’s now healthy, energetic, and her joyful, spunky personality is shining through. Nonnie’s looking for a family who is eager to love and be loved forever! Nonnie is a social butterfly and adores other dogs, always ready for a playdate! She’s been consistent with her house training and continues to improve each day. She’s had some experience with crate training and would likely do well with continued training in the future. While she’s been introduced to cats through a fence without much interest, her curious, gentle nature suggests she might do well with a slow introduction to a feline friend. Because of her exuberance and energy, she’s best suited for a family with kids over 13. Nonnie has some hilarious habits that are sure to make you smile: she barely ever barks, but she lets out an adorable “wooooh” (almost like a howl) on her first fetch of the ball. She’ll nudge your hand if she’s not done being petted, and her snoring and intense dreams while she snoozes are heart-melting! This sweet girl has a medium-to-high energy level, so she’ll benefit from plenty of playtime, walks, and exercise, though she can also settle in for a cuddle session on the couch. While a fenced yard would be ideal, she’ll do well with dedicated daily walks to help her burn off that puppy energy. Nonnie is the perfect blend of playful and chill, making her a wonderful companion for anyone who’s looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun-loving friend. With her soulful eyes and sweet nature, Nonnie is ready to become a cherished part of your family. Are you ready for the endless love this amazing girl has to offer?

Daphne, Female
Shepherd Mix, 9-months-old
Daphne is an adorable 9-month-old German Shepherd mix with a light brown, short coat and boundless energy. Currently weighing 45 pounds, she’s expected to be a medium-sized dog once fully grown (around 26–60 pounds). This playful pup is already house-trained and crate-trained, though she prefers not to spend extended periods in her crate.
Daphne has a lively personality and thrives with regular exercise. She loves running, throwing her toys for herself, and spinning in circles when she gets excited—it’s impossible not to smile around her! While she’s shy at first, Daphne warms up quickly and will become your loyal shadow, following you everywhere. She’s still adjusting to new people, dogs, and environments. A confident resident dog in her new home is required to help her build confidence and continue learning. While she’s eager to meet other dogs, she likes to take her time to get comfortable and then she’s ready to play! She hasn’t been introduced to kids or cats, but her high prey drive may make her incompatible with feline friends. Daphne is happiest with an active family who can match her energy level and provide plenty of opportunities to play and explore. A home with a fenced yard is a must to let her stretch her legs safely. While she’s not particularly vocal, she may bark when unsure about something or whine if she misses out on a good squirrel chase! If you’re ready to give this sweet, spirited pup the love and patience she needs to thrive, Daphne will reward you with endless affection and entertainment. Could you be the perfect match for this special girl?

Tina’s favorite things include zoomies in the yard, gnawing on her favorite bones, and being the ultimate house watchdog—nothing gets past her keen senses! Tina needs a home with a secure 6-foot fence to give her the outdoor playtime she craves. She plays great with kids and enjoys interacting with other dogs, though she may bark at them from her yard when on a leash. While she’s still young, she is still learning how to be a good roommate. Tina is house-trained, but she occasionally has accidents and could use a little patience as she perfects her potty habits. During the day, you can see she will chew on her bones and toys, but also anything else she can find. She’s crate-trained and sees her crate as her safe haven. She’s also never shy about her feelings and uses her voice to express herself, making her an effective and endearing alarm system. Because of this, she will not be a good fit for homes with shared walls (apartments/townhomes). Luna, Female
German Shepherd, 8 years
Luna is a 6 to 7-year-old German Shepherd mix, weighing in at 100 pounds of pure love. She's the perfect blend of playful and chill, always ready for a walk or a cozy snuggle session. Luna's favorite pastime? Enjoying her squeaky toy, Poppy--a pop tart-shaped toy that she loves to gently squeak while relaxing.
Luna is the epitome of a loyal, gentle, and protective companion. She forms deep bonds with her family, making her the perfect guardian. While she can be a bit wary of strangers, especially in her home, Luna is working with a professional trainer to manage her anxiety around new people. With continued training, she’ll keep growing and learning to be more comfortable with unfamiliar faces. Fully house-trained, Luna knows exactly when it’s time to go outside, signaling by lying down or heading to the back door. She’s also crate-trained, viewing her crate as a safe and relaxing haven. Luna enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along well with her foster family's resident pup. She’s friendly with neighbor dogs too, though her interactions are mainly through the fence. Currently, she lives with two teenage girls and does wonderfully with them. However, because of her cautious nature around strangers, Luna might be best suited to a home without small children. She’s also not compatible with cats. Even though Luna is alert to people outside, she's unbothered by typical house or neighborhood sounds, making her well-suited for homes with shared walls. A fenced yard is a must for Luna—she will need plenty of room to run safely! While she does need calming medication for vet visits, she’s otherwise healthy and ready to be someone’s perfect companion. Luna would thrive in a quieter home where visitors are infrequent. She’s a gentle soul who will give endless love and loyalty to her new family. Luna’s past might be a mystery, but her future is bright. If you’re looking for a devoted, loving companion, Luna could be the perfect fit for your home.

Indiana Bones, Male
Pitbull Terrier/Boxer Mix, 1.5 years
Meet Indiana Bones! Just as his name says, this boy is ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Indiana Bones is a 1.5 year-old Pit Bull mix who is 40 lbs of pure love and joy. Indiana has had a rocky start to his journey but is ready to meet his forever family where he can settle into the good life.
He is fully potty trained with the very rare accident due to being super excited. Aside from that, he’s learned how to alert his people that he’s got to go! He’s crate trained and treats it like his safe haven. He eats meals in his crate and has no complaints spending time there when home alone. Indiana is learning how to coexist with other animals and has been doing great. He enjoys spending time with other dogs and would prefer if he has a friendly buddy around to help him stay confident. If he meets a dog that matches his energy, they are a friend for life! As far as cats go, he’s learning how to pick up on their body language. He’s largely uninterested in his foster family’s cats but is working on boundaries with them! Indiana has yet to spend time with children. We recommend slow and supervised introductions with kids. Indiana will likely prefer a home where someone is there to see him throughout the day. He’s working through some separation anxiety and responds well to consistency and routine. Indiana’s forever family should be one that’s dedicated to providing him with daily activity and stimulation to keep him from getting too bored! He would prefer a fenced yard to assist in burning off excess energy and work on his recall skills. Indiana Bones is ready to find his forever home! With continued love and affection, Indiana will be sure to thrive!

Blitz, Male
Lab mix, 9 months
Meet Blitz! This 9 month-old Labrador mix is an ultimate goofball and lover looking for his forever family! Blitz is looking for a home that will allow him to meet his energy needs while giving him a safe space to cuddle at the end of the day
While a young guy, he's made tremendous strides since being in rescue and is eager to keep learning how to be a dog! Blitz adores being around other dogs and is always game to play. He is very excitable when meeting new dogs in public and wants everyone to be his friend! He's great at picking up on dog's cues and meeting them at their level when interacting. Blitz has not done well around the cats he's met so far and it's not recommended he is around them long-term. Due to his breed and age, his prey drive plays a factor when interacting with smaller critters! As far as kids go, he's a bit more hesitant than he is with adults but does okay. We recommend a meet and greet prior to adopting to a home with children and continued training with child interactions. He's been doing well with crate training and spending time alone. He's been known to let out the occasional bark or howl, so a home with shared walls may not be ideal but is still possible. He's been used to a fenced yard and it would be a major bonus if his forever home has one too! Blitz prefers a medium to high activity level and will appreciate it if he can utilize a fenced yard to let off some additional steam. Blitz is a very lovable guy who learns very quickly! His ideal forever home will be one that's dedicated to his continued training and can give him the daily enrichment and socialization he needs. If you're interested in learning more about Blitz and think he might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes his family will feel lucky they did.

Dahlia, Female
Pitbull Terrier, 2-5 years
Hi! My name is Dahlia, but my foster parents call me Dolly, Dolly Dingo, or Dolly Doobers. I'm a 2-5 yo Pit Bull and I'm really really cute. I'm a bit timid when I first meet people, but warm up quickly with a gentle, controlled approach.
I love to give kisses, and may or may not slobber your face, arm, leg, ear, or whatever given part of you I can reach at the time. I can't tell you what my life was like before rescue, but I'm pretty sure I've had a lot of puppies. I was picked up by Animal Control while running free, and stayed there for a little over a month until I got out. I think I've had some really basic training, because I know how to sit at food time, but beyond that I need work on a leash and some improvement on my basic manners. I'm not tall, but my foster dad says I'm "A real thickums McGee" and I'm not really aware of how solid or heavy I am, so your personal space is at a definite risk with me around, I just want to be by people! I have to be in a home with no other dogs, as I get scared and defensive when they get close. I do well in a crate for the most part, although I may whine when I feel like I'm left alone in one. Because I'm a beefcake, I would also probably do best in a home without younger children due to my size but would likely love them. Overall though, I'm a very very sweet lover girl who just wants to be your favorite companion and best buddy to whoever adopts me.

Freya, Female
Pitbull Terrier, 6 years
This beautiful girl is Freya, she's 6-years-old and 70 pounds of sweetness. To know Freya is to love her. Freya absolutely loves hanging out with her people and is happiest when they're around. Whether it's on the run or being a couch potato, she is ready to take on the world if you're with her.
She loves a good cuddle from anyone willing, while a hike through the woods is a highlight to any day. Freya would need a fenced yard if off-leash but is low energy and only needs a short walk daily. She would also likely be ok with shared walls. She may vocalize when someone is at the door but is otherwise quiet and can be left alone but of course prefers to have someone around to chill with if given the option. Freya came to rescue after living in a stressful and toxic environment. As a result, she took some time to adjust, but after a few weeks is now starting to show her incredibly charming personality. Freya loves to find the sunny spot in a room and sun herself for hours if left undisturbed. When she walks into a room, she greets each person in turn before proceeding to the next room and will do this every time she enters the room. Freya is fully house-trained with no issues. She does have one quirk, she doesn't poop on leash so space for her to go without one is a bit of a must. She is crate trained and previously slept crated at night, but since coming to rescue has gotten to free roam the house with no issue. When it comes to other dogs Freya can be good with some, it would depend on temperament. Due to her previous home environment, she still reacts poorly to larger aggressive dogs. She is working with her foster on leash reactivity as she continues positive socialization. As for cats, she does have a prey drive and is generally not a big fan. Freya would likely do well with kids 5 and older. She's generally a girl that loves a calm space for her to be her mellow self and be part of a family. I

Candy, Female
Pomeranian/Sheltie Mix, 2 years
Meet Candy, as sweet as her namesake. She's a 2 year-old, 11-lb bundle of cuteness ready to steal your heart. Candy is a mixed breed pup estimated to be a terrier/sheltie mix.
Candy loves hanging out with her people and getting pets and love as much as she gives it. She is very shy and anxious in new situations and would do best in a home that can give her slow introductions to new people and pets. Candy lives with senior dogs in her foster home. She would most likely flourish with a patient and affectionate small-breed dog to help build her confidence. Otherwise, she'd do well as a solo dog if given the attention she needs to come out of her shell. She loves to get her outdoor time, running circles around a fenced yard. Candy came to rescue with little training, but has made significant progress since being in her foster home. She is potty trained and does okay on a leash. She's not very food motivated so lots of praise and positive reinforcement is key in teaching her new things! Candy has developed separation anxiety which is a work in progress. She will do best in a home where she can see her people throughout the day. Her forever home will be one that can accommodate these needs while continuing to improve on these behaviors. When home alone, Candy is known to bark and whine. For this reason, it's not ideal that Candy lives in a home with shared walls.

Cleo, Female
Chihuahua/Pug, 7 years
Alright, STOP. Collaborate and listen... She cute but she is expensive. Cleo will need prescription food and medication for the remainder of her life. Still interested? Read on!
Straight from her foster's mouth to your ears.. erhmm.. eyes.. learn more about Cleo directly from the source! They say diamonds are a girl's best friend.. And you better have a lot of them. To sell. To pay for her vet care. Haha! Just kidding! *looks around* Kind of.. Cleo has a condition called protein-losing enteropathy (PLE) caused by irritable bowel disease. She loses proteins from her bloodstream into her GI tract faster than her body can replenish them and her medical management helps regulate this condition. Cleo's daily life is unaffected by this and she does your everyday dog things. The only addition is giving her medication (pills) with her morning and evening meals which she takes without problem. Still interested? Then you're ready to hear our secret.. ---- Cleo is a GEM. A truly one-of-a-kind companion. So without further ado, here's what you need to know about Cleo! Extremely smart. Eats her own poop. In a glass-half-full kind of world, you could consider her a self-poop picker-upper. (But really, you are going to have to go out in those subzero temps and pick up her poop before she does.) In all seriousness, she is one of the best potty-trained dogs we have ever had. And she understands cues so quickly. She even knows sit, shake, high five, and can catch her food mid-air! Farts can clear a room. They just get stronger. Rootin' Tootin' Cleo should be in the Guinness Book of Records or something. Teeters on being the fun police. Still fun. Cleo coexists with dogs big and small but can sometimes be a playtime hall monitor. That said, if she finds the right dog with the right playstyle, she has a good time playing chase and wrestling! Loves tug o' war. Hates fetch. If you throw her toy, she's going to look at you like what are you even doing. On a scale of one to barky, she's about a five. While Cleo doesn't bark all day long, she is going to warn you about car doors slamming, people talking, the general goings on of the world. And her bark be loud so shared walls may not be the best fit for her. She stops with some guidance pretty quickly.. usually.. sometimes.. Loves food. Hates sharing. Cleo's favorite times of the day are, hands down, breakfast and dinner. And she's got that only child syndrome (I can say that, I'm an only child) where everything is hers. Her food. Her toys. Your food. All hers. And she will tell anyone who needs to know. Cleo doesn't currently live with cats but has in the past and takes it in stride. As long as she's the center of attention, that's all she really needs. Supposedly a Chihuahua/Pug mix. Definitely just as needy. Pug parents, am I right? Cleo will climb on your lap, push her way to your hands, and really doesn't care if she's stepping on another dog to get to the top. We mean that figuratively. Well.. except for those times when she's literally walking over a dog to get to you. Likes to give kisses. Licks everything. Literally everything.. the couch, the floor, the carpet, the coffee table, your clothes, and your face. Cleo is great with kids of all ages but it's probably best that she live in a home with teens or no kids on account of how much she loves food. Because she has PLE, Cleo needs to be on a restricted diet and can't be catching scraps or snagging food from those little hands. Because she would. She totally would. This girl's personality is a great balance of play and chill, and she walks so well on a leash.. when it's actually warm out.. A lap dog through and through, Cleo wants to be snuggled in with you, often under a blanket (Chihuahua parents, you get it). She's content to snooze on the couch or a dog bed when you're gone and she can fit into any social situation. Cleo is one of the best dogs out there and whoever has the privilege of adopting her is going to know love (and toots) beyond measure!

Montana, Male
Dogo Argentino, 1 years
Montana is a handsome 1-year-old 55lb Dogo Argentino looking for his forever home! He is fully house and crate trained and would do best either as an only dog or, an adopter who is committed to doing slow introductions over the course of a few weeks.
His excitement gets the best of him! At this time, Montana is not suited for young children under 14 due to his energy levels. Montana's foster family describes him as incredibly sweet and affectionate, with a penchant for exploring outdoors and chewing on bones. However, he thrives best in calmer environments and benefits from structured routines and regular exercise, needing at least an hour of activity each day. While he's adjusting to indoor living, Montana is still learning to manage his energy levels and would do best with someone experienced in bully breeds who can continue his training. He's neutered and in good health, with no known medical needs. Montana is a great working companion, and would thrive with a family that enjoys working with working breeds and power breeds. If you're ready to welcome Montana into your home and help him become the best version of himself, please reach out to learn more about this loving pup.

Bucky, Female
Staffordshire Terrier, 6 years
Hi! I'm Bucky,a 6-year-old girl who's the epitome of sweetness and affection. I love fetch, belly rubs, and hanging out with my family. I'll happily start a good tug-of-war over a stick or a frolic with my dog neighbors.
When I'm relaxing inside you'll likely find me by you on the couch or in my kennel, which I'll also gladly hangout in as I wait for you to come home. I love other dogs but I can take a moment to warm up. Once I do I'll be a social butterfly. With appropriate introductions, a chill space to say hi organically, I'll be ready to hangout with my canine friends. I just need to feel comfortable and prepared. I haven't had any cat tests since coming to rescue, so I'm not quite sure how I'd do there and although I don't currently live with kids, my affectionate nature suggests I could do well. What would my perfect day include? Balls, sticks, a blanket, some time to run and play fetch, but I'm an easy-going girl happy to do much of anything. I could live without the sound of the vacuum and a nail trim, but who wouldn't? With 15-30 minutes of playtime in the yard I'm golden for the day, and will spend much of the rest of it sleeping or calmly chilling at home. I have no issues with being left alone but will always happily choose to hangout with people. I'm not particularly vocal so could adjust well to an apartment without too much stimuli, and would love a fenced-in yard, but really I'm just looking for a family that wants to love me as much as I'm ready to love them!

Berlin, Male
Siberian Husky, 2 years
Hi! I'm Berlin, an exceptionally handsome 2-year-old Husky, weighing in at 55 pounds of playful affection. I'm eagerly looking to find my pack and here to tell you a bit about me in case you're it! Although I can be momentarily a bit shy when first meeting someone, I'll quickly warm up and consider you a friend.
I become incredibly affectionate to anyone that gets to know me, showering my people with plenty of kisses and snuggles. I have the most adorable habit of wrapping my legs around yours to keep you close. I LOVE dogs and gladly co-habitate with 3 resident pups currently in my foster home. I'll show a friendly hello to other dogs out and about by sniffing and wagging my tail. When it comes to cats, we shouldn't mix. As for kids, I have previously lived harmoniously with an eight-year-old and would likely do well with kids of any age, although the younger ones may get knocked over! When it comes to crate training, I am pretty awesome as I particularly like the comfort my crate provides, and am used to sleeping and eating in my crate. Although I might be slightly bummed when you leave the house initially, I'll settle into some time alone with no issues and don't get anxious. I also am chill in the car, and am always ready for a new adventure. As with many dogs my breed, I can be vocal in communicating with my humans, but mostly when I need to go out and want to play or when you've just come back and I want to say hello. I'm not particularly vocal all things considered. I'm a guy with energy so I thrive most on regular exercise and would benefit from a tall fenced-in yard (e.g., 6-foot privacy fence would be the best) where I can run and play safely. I can be a bit picky with my food choices, but with trial and error you'll figure out some of my favorite things, like zucchini and sweet potato, I'm a healthy guy! You'll want to be sure to give me a good brush/groom regularly to keep me looking my best with my beautiful thick coat. My priorities for my ideal home include love, patience and plenty of playtime! Are you looking for an affectionate, playful pup in return? Whether it's chasing toys, enjoying cuddles on the couch, or going for a run, I'll always be your loyal companion to take on life with.

Aprilia, Female
Staffordshire Terrier, 1.5 years
Say hello to April! April is a 1.5 year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix and 59 lbs of pure energy and affection. April might take a bit of time to gain confidence around new people, but once she does she will be your best friend forever!
She understands that her calling in life is to act as her human's shadow and will go the extra mile in order to not miss out on any action happening at home. This might even include her licking your hair while you catch up on your latest Netflix binge! April is house trained. It is likely that April used to spend most of her time outdoors, so she may need a bit of guidance as to where the appropriate place to go potty is. She has caught on quickly in her foster home, no accidents! April is also crate trained. She does well in her crate at night and while home alone. While April prefers to see her humans throughout the day, she does well when left home alone and has not been known to vocalize or be destructive. She requires a medium level of activity and is content with a daily walk and plenty of stuffed toys to play with! April is a curious girl who would love to have a fenced yard to sniff around in but it is not required. April has enjoyed meeting and playing with dogs in her foster home and does very well. She prefers to have a confident dog around to help teach her how to be the best pup! Ideally, April would find a forever home that has a built-in canine companion but it is not required. When it comes to cats, April has yet to meet one! She has shown signs of a prey drive so a meet-and-greet would be necessary if there is a cat in the household. When April is feeling playful, her energy can be very high! Her play style is all in good fun but this may overwhelm young children as she can get a bit mouthy. She would do best in a household with children 13 years and older. April is ready to meet her forever home! With patience and consistent structure she will blossom into the perfect companion that anyone could ask for. If you're interested in learning more about April and think she might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes her family will be lucky they did.

Milo, Male
Mini Australian Shepherd, 5 years
Meet Milo! This 5 year old, 40 pound, Miniature Australian Shepherd is ready to meet his forever family! This spunky boy is looking for someone who can be his best friend while accommodating his high energy needs.
Due to Milo's breed, he likes to have a job to focus on each day. Sometimes, he thinks his job is to manage the people around him. This can manifest in being nitpicky around children and he'll want to correct their behavior and can become frustrated when this doesn't go his way. For this reason, he should go to a home with kids 13 years and older. Aside from these behaviors, Milo loves being around people and receiving all the love and attention he can get! Milo was crate trained as a puppy but it's not his favorite spot to be. He prefers to free roam the house and does very well. He adjusts quickly to new surroundings but has anxiety that's well managed by daily medication. It's important that Milo's forever family will be one that's dedicated to managing his anxiety long-term. Milo does great with other dogs but prefers them to be more submissive than him in size and personality. He likes to be the boss! He'd likely do well with another dog in the home given the right dynamics are in place. We aren't sure how he'd do around cats long-term. He's had short interactions with them and is largely disinterested. This smart boy enjoys a moderate to high activity level to stimulate him each day. For this reason, he would like a home that can give him a couple walks a day with additional playtime in between. He does well with a tie-out so a fenced yard is not required. Milo's ready to meet his forever family! With lots of love and activity, he will be the ultimate best friend anyone could ask for. If you're interested in learning more about Teddy and think he might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes his family will be lucky they did.

Simba, Male
Shepherd Mix, 14 weeks
At 14-weeks-old and 22 pounds, this Shepherd puppy has a heart full of energy and curiosity! Whether he’s zooming around with his foster siblings or learning new tricks like "sit" and "shake,"
Simba makes every day an adventure. His sweet morning kisses and love for a good nap make him the perfect companion for anyone looking for a fun and affectionate pup. Simba is a total social butterfly -- he gets along great with his foster siblings and is learning to play with them like a pro. While we're unsure of his behavior around kids or other animals, his gentle nature should make him a good playmate for them too. Simba doesn’t require a fence, but he absolutely loves his playtime, so he should be fine with exploring on walks! Simba’s smart and quick to adjust. He’s still working on potty training and crate training, so with some patience and guidance, he will be making good progress. Apollo, Male
Pitbull Terrier, 1.5 months
Meet Apollo, a lively, affectionate 18-month-old Lab-Pit mix with a love for adventure, a passion for fetch, and a penchant for hugs! Weighing in at 55 pounds, Apollo sports a sleek black coat with hints of brown and a white “eagle” marking on his chest.
He’s an energetic and playful companion who needs an active household that can keep up with his high energy and zest for life. Apollo is house-trained and crate-trained, easily making it through the night without any issues. He’s done very well spending nighttime outside of the crate and usually opts for a comfy spot on the couch. He’s social with other dogs and loves to play, though his playstyle can be a bit intense for some. With the right doggie friend and some guidance, he could be a great sibling to a similarly energetic dog. While he’s met cats through a fence, his high-energy nature may make him a little too interested in cats indoors, so a gradual introduction or a cat-free home might be best. Apollo is good with older kids (13+), but he needs clear boundaries and a confident handler to help him understand his strength. Apollo’s daily routine includes long walks and plenty of fetch time. His favorite game is chasing down a tennis ball, though he may sometimes playfully dart away with it before returning. Apollo is learning new commands daily, including “sit,” “no,” and “stay,” though he occasionally lets out a funny “sigh” when he doesn’t get his way. His foster notes that he gives the best hugs and has a hilarious habit of expressing his “opinion” with little sounds when he loses a tug-of-war for direction on a walk. This pup would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore to his heart’s content. Though not prone to separation anxiety, Apollo prefers to have someone around; he’s only alone for a few hours a week and would do best in a home where he can get plenty of companionship and attention. For a family that loves the outdoors and is ready to share in Apollo’s boundless enthusiasm, he’ll be a loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining addition! Ready to meet your new best friend? Apollo can’t wait to show you his signature hug!

Ringo, Male
Miniature Beagle, 2 years
This 2-year-old Beagle is the sweetest and spunkiest of dogs! Weighing in at 22 pounds, he’s the perfect size for cuddles—and cuddling just happens to be one of his favorite activities.
While his past has made him more anxious and sometimes overstimulated, he shows his bravery and resilience in new ways every day. In no time, Ringo will happily follow you around the house, and be your favorite snuggle buddy at night, making every night cozy and warm. With some patience and guidance, he’s made remarkable progress and become a great roommate! While he’s house-trained on a consistent schedule, his pacing around the room will be your cue to go outside. If you're home, he may go into his kennel for a safe space, or when you say “take a nap” (especially if there’s a treat involved)! When he's alone, he can be very vocal and unsettled in the kennel. Due to his noise level during these times, he will not be a fit for homes with shared walls (apartments/condos). This little explorer thrives with structure and enjoys mental and physical stimulation. Ringo loves to go on walks (30-45 minutes) where he can sniff to his heart's content, along with food puzzles to entertain his Beagle nose. Ringo is eager to learn with you, too! He’s working on commands like “sit” and “touch,” treating every session like the most fun game ever. When it comes to his favorite things, Ringo’s love for squeaky toys knows no bounds—his hedgehog stuffy is a prized possession. He’s also an expert in the fine art of destroying stuffed toys but enjoys chew toys, kongs, and even a good antler. Ringo’s playful spirit is matched only by his need for cuddles. He’ll give you endless kisses, follow you everywhere, and look at you with those soulful Beagle eyes that make it impossible to say no. Ringo is happy to make friends, but it takes a little extra bravery to do so. He has met children as young as 6 years-old and adored them, though he is still learning personal space. Because of this, dog-savvy kids aged 8+ would be the best match. He has briefly met his foster family's cat, but quickly retreated. With the right introduction, he could likely coexist peacefully with a confident, relaxed cat. Around other dogs, Ringo does best with calm or well-balanced companions, as big personalities can make him nervous. He finds comfort in the presence of another dog and could benefit from a home where his human or canine companions are often around. Ringo would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands his puppy-like curiosity and gives him the structure he needs to blossom. In return, you'll receive a lifetime of laughter and endless kisses! Could you be the one to give this brave, spunky, and snuggly pup his forever home?

Jenkins, Male
Cattle Dog Mix, 1.5 years
This 1.5-year-old cattle dog mix is a bundle of love! At 55 pounds, Jenkins is happy cuddling on the couch with his head in your lap or entertaining himself with toys. He is a low-maintenance, easygoing pup ready to bring joy to his forever family.
Jenkins is fully house-trained and makes a great roommate! He knows the difference between dog toys and people things—so no chewing on your shoes with this guy. He can be trusted to be home alone and is very polite around food, though he might sniff around to check out what’s cooking. He’s also crate-trained and sleeps peacefully in his crate at night or whenever he needs a break. While Jenkins barks occasionally as a part-time watchdog, he’s easily calmed and makes a fantastic home office coworker, quietly napping through virtual meetings. He previously lived in a townhouse without issue, making him a good fit for various living situations. Jenkins will easily adjust to new friends if given a little help! At his foster home, Jenkins has greatly benefited from his confident canine sibling who can help him feel secure and teach him the ropes. He loves to chase, wrestle, and play tug with other dogs, but is still learning to share his toys and space. While Jenkins hasn’t had extensive experience with children, he’s greeted kids at the bus stop with polite curiosity. A meet-and-greet would help determine compatibility with potential human siblings. Cats, however, are a definite no-go for Jenkins. Living with a cat causes him significant anxiety, so a cat-free home is a must for his happiness and well-being. Jenkins thrives on a mix of activity and relaxation. A morning walk, some toy time, and play sessions with a doggy sibling are enough to keep him happy. If he’s an only dog, two short walks a day or some yard time would suit him perfectly. He’s not prone to zoomies but has bursts of playful energy that are fun to watch. Jenkins loves toys—especially ones he can chew or tug—and enjoys chasing balls or being chased while carrying one. His adorable habit of pouncing on toys will keep you smiling, and his independent playtime shows his ability to entertain himself when needed. Jenkins came from a loving family who helped him become the confident, affectionate dog he is today. He’s trusting, sweet-natured, and eager to bond with his new family. Could Jenkins be your perfect match? If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and adaptable dog who will adore you endlessly, Jenkins might just be the one!

Howie, Male
Bulldog mix, 4 years
Howie is a 4-year-old fun-loving Bulldog mix with an infectious personality! At 53 pounds, Howie is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. He LOVES toys—especially ones he can carry proudly around the yard—and is learning fetch too. Whether he’s chasing toys or taking short walks, Howie loves to play with you—a few play sessions per day keep him happy and well-behaved. After playtime, he’s more than happy to settle in for a long nap, and is happy to bunny hop up the stairs to be with you!
Howie has already shown he’s a star in social settings! During a recent outing to a local brewery, he charmed everyone so much that the staff wanted to say goodbye before he left. He’d be an amazing brewery or café companion for someone looking to bring their dog along for fun outings. He enjoys the company of other dogs after proper introductions, and while he hasn’t encountered cats or kids yet, his sweet and adaptable nature suggests he’d do well with the right guidance. Though he was a little anxious at first, Howie has adjusted well to life with his foster family so far. He is house-trained but benefits from a consistent routine to avoid occasional accidents, especially when left alone for extended periods. Regular outdoor breaks and taking him out right after crate time help him do his best. When he's crated, Howie loves having a cozy bed inside and settles in without barking, though he sometimes needs a little coaxing (a treat works wonders!). His foster family is working on his leash manners and resource guarding with toys—he’s improving with positive reinforcement, such as trading a treat for a toy when it’s time to put it away. Howie would benefit from someone who is willing to be patient while he learns the rules of a new home, and who is willing to put structure and routine in place so he can feel safe and confident.

Collie Mix, 12 weeks
Axel is a 12-week-old Collie/Shepherd/Retriever mix with a sweet and bright personality! At 20 pounds, he's an energetic little guy during the day, loving playtime with the rest of the pack.
At night, he's also happy to wind down with cuddles and a good TV show. His fun, laid-back demeanor makes him a well-balanced pup who's ready for adventure and snuggles alike. At home, Axel is catching on quickly to house training and will thrive with consistency and a regular routine. Crate training is still a work in progress, but he's making steady improvements. When it's mealtime, Axel's excitement is contagious--he bounces and hops like a little bunny, bringing a smile to everyone around him! While he does whine when he needs to go outside, he isn't overly vocal and adjusts well to changes in routine. He should be able to live in homes with shared walls (apartments/townhomes) just fine, making him adaptable to various living environments. Axel is a friendly pup so far, especially when playing with his siblings! He has no trouble with other dogs in the neighborhood either. He hasn't been introduced to cats or kids yet, but his sweet demeanor suggests he would make a wonderful family dog. Axel's energy level is typical for a puppy his age, enjoying active play during the day and relaxing when it's time to settle down. While a fenced yard isn't required, he currently enjoys access to one, giving him space to explore and run. He loves blankets and playing with all kinds of puppy toys, and his bursts of joyful energy are always entertaining. If you're looking for a cuddly, lively puppy who loves to have fun and share quiet evenings, Axel is the perfect companion to bring joy to your family!

Bruce, Male
Pit/Lab Mix, 3 years
Bruce is a bundle of joy with an endless supply of energy and kisses! At 70 pounds, this Pit Bull/retriever mix still believes he’s a lap dog, blissfully unaware of his size. Whether he's cuddling on the couch with his head in your lap or playing with his squeaky toys, Bruce is a happy-go-lucky pup ready to bring joy to his forever family.
Bruce has adjusted well to his new foster home and loves soaking up the affection he receives. He is house-trained (only one accident since arriving) and crate-trained, where he is usually settling down after a whine or two. While he does bark when he hears noises in his apartment building, he settles easily, making him a good fit for shared walls. His change in environment may be causing him to get an upset stomach more easily now, so he's currently on a special diet for a sensitive stomach while we figure that out. Bruce loves to make new friends—that means more playtime for him! He’s been friendly with people and the dogs he’s met so far. When he's met other dogs, they all have been 30+ pounds, so his compatibility with smaller dogs is still unknown. He hasn’t been around children or cats yet, so a slow introduction would be recommended to prevent him from unintentionally knocking someone over when he's excited. He is very energetic, so he likes all the play and walks he can get! Bruce is a fun-loving pup that adores squeaky toys, tennis balls, and anything else he can play with. While lots of playtime is helpful, he will also need regular exercise and a fenced yard to manage his high-energy personality. With his affectionate nature and fun-loving spirit, Bruce would thrive with a family that can keep up with his zest for life. If you're looking for a playful, cuddly, and sweet companion, Bruce is the perfect addition to your home!
