“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring — it was peace.” – Milan Kundera (Author, The Unbearable Lightness of Being)

Nonnie, Female
Lab Mix, 1 year
Meet Nonnie, an adorable 1-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who’s full of love, playfulness, and a zest for life! Weighing around 42 pounds, Nonnie is a perfect medium-sized pup who’s equally happy to be playing fetch as she is snoozing by your side
Nonnie’s journey has been a bit tough—she arrived at her foster home with a serious illness, but with care and love, she’s now healthy, energetic, and her joyful, spunky personality is shining through. Nonnie’s looking for a family who is eager to love and be loved forever! Nonnie is a social butterfly and adores other dogs, always ready for a playdate! She’s been consistent with her house training and continues to improve each day. She’s had some experience with crate training and would likely do well with continued training in the future. While she’s been introduced to cats through a fence without much interest, her curious, gentle nature suggests she might do well with a slow introduction to a feline friend. Because of her exuberance and energy, she’s best suited for a family with kids over 13. Nonnie has some hilarious habits that are sure to make you smile: she barely ever barks, but she lets out an adorable “wooooh” (almost like a howl) on her first fetch of the ball. She’ll nudge your hand if she’s not done being petted, and her snoring and intense dreams while she snoozes are heart-melting! This sweet girl has a medium-to-high energy level, so she’ll benefit from plenty of playtime, walks, and exercise, though she can also settle in for a cuddle session on the couch. While a fenced yard would be ideal, she’ll do well with dedicated daily walks to help her burn off that puppy energy. Nonnie is the perfect blend of playful and chill, making her a wonderful companion for anyone who’s looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun-loving friend. With her soulful eyes and sweet nature, Nonnie is ready to become a cherished part of your family. Are you ready for the endless love this amazing girl has to offer?

Ocho, Male
American Bulldog/Boxer, 7 years
This handsome guy is Ocho, a 7-year-old American Bulldog/Boxer mix ready to find his forever home! Ocho is quite the catch as he is as low-maintenance as dogs come. It doesn't take much from his human(s), sometimes its just a smile, to make his stub of a tail wag and let you know he's enjoying life.
Although he may look serious, this boy is a total goof and the sweetest of dogs. Ocho will make you smile daily, but especially when you come home or he sees someone he knows and jumps/dances with his legs straight to do the funniest of taps. He's a tank but surprisingly light on his feet! Ocho absolutely loves his people and when he knows you, he trusts you for life. He may take a moment to warm up but once he does, he'll be rolling over for belly rubs and snuggles with the biggest of smiles. He loves to sit next to you or against you when given a comfy spot to rest. Ocho has and currently lives with other dogs and does well. Like with people, he just needs a hot sec to warm up. He particularly loves the occasional short play with one of his foster siblings (he's low energy) and enjoys a good walk but doesn't need one. He'd be down for a hike or time in the yard (his recall is great) and would likely appreciate a mellow canine companion. He has also previously lived with cats but would likely prefer a home without feline energy. Ocho has a history of living with kids and reportedly did okay. Since coming into rescue, he's shown that he's not a fan. For this reason, it is best that Ocho finds a forever home that does not have children in the household and we recommend slow and supervised interactions when he encounters them in the future. Ocho isn't a big fan of chaos and would prefer a chill home to spend his best years. Besides his family, what Ocho loves most is a ball. He especially likes to chew on a ball, fetch a ball, or simply sleep on a ball. If a ball is around he'll be content. He is also into toys, especially squeakers. In new spaces Ocho can initially vocalize when left alone so shared walls are not recommended. With time he is fine being left solo, just trying to work his sweetness on you. ike most Bulldogs/Boxers, Ocho can run a bit sensitive so appreciates the current medication he's on that has helped his body heal from the previous living environment he was in. He has since become a beautiful, healthy pup. Ocho is the epitome of a dream dog and a content companion ready to bring happiness to whatever family is lucky enough to get to call him their dog.

Luna, Female
German Shepherd, 8 years
Luna is a 6 to 7-year-old German Shepherd mix, weighing in at 100 pounds of pure love. She's the perfect blend of playful and chill, always ready for a walk or a cozy snuggle session. Luna's favorite pastime? Enjoying her squeaky toy, Poppy--a pop tart-shaped toy that she loves to gently squeak while relaxing.
Luna is the epitome of a loyal, gentle, and protective companion. She forms deep bonds with her family, making her the perfect guardian. While she can be a bit wary of strangers, especially in her home, Luna is working with a professional trainer to manage her anxiety around new people. With continued training, she’ll keep growing and learning to be more comfortable with unfamiliar faces. Fully house-trained, Luna knows exactly when it’s time to go outside, signaling by lying down or heading to the back door. She’s also crate-trained, viewing her crate as a safe and relaxing haven. Luna enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along well with her foster family's resident pup. She’s friendly with neighbor dogs too, though her interactions are mainly through the fence. Currently, she lives with two teenage girls and does wonderfully with them. However, because of her cautious nature around strangers, Luna might be best suited to a home without small children. She’s also not compatible with cats. Even though Luna is alert to people outside, she's unbothered by typical house or neighborhood sounds, making her well-suited for homes with shared walls. A fenced yard is a must for Luna—she will need plenty of room to run safely! While she does need calming medication for vet visits, she’s otherwise healthy and ready to be someone’s perfect companion. Luna would thrive in a quieter home where visitors are infrequent. She’s a gentle soul who will give endless love and loyalty to her new family. Luna’s past might be a mystery, but her future is bright. If you’re looking for a devoted, loving companion, Luna could be the perfect fit for your home.

Indiana Bones, Male
Pitbull Terrier/Boxer Mix, 1.5 years
Meet Indiana Bones! Just as his name says, this boy is ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Indiana Bones is a 1.5 year-old Pit Bull mix who is 40 lbs of pure love and joy. Indiana has had a rocky start to his journey but is ready to meet his forever family where he can settle into the good life.
He is fully potty trained with the very rare accident due to being super excited. Aside from that, he’s learned how to alert his people that he’s got to go! He’s crate trained and treats it like his safe haven. He eats meals in his crate and has no complaints spending time there when home alone. Indiana is learning how to coexist with other animals and has been doing great. He enjoys spending time with other dogs and would prefer if he has a friendly buddy around to help him stay confident. If he meets a dog that matches his energy, they are a friend for life! As far as cats go, he’s learning how to pick up on their body language. He’s largely uninterested in his foster family’s cats but is working on boundaries with them! Indiana has yet to spend time with children. We recommend slow and supervised introductions with kids. Indiana will likely prefer a home where someone is there to see him throughout the day. He’s working through some separation anxiety and responds well to consistency and routine. Indiana’s forever family should be one that’s dedicated to providing him with daily activity and stimulation to keep him from getting too bored! He would prefer a fenced yard to assist in burning off excess energy and work on his recall skills. Indiana Bones is ready to find his forever home! With continued love and affection, Indiana will be sure to thrive!

Blitz, Male
Lab mix, 9 months
Meet Blitz! This 9 month-old Labrador mix is an ultimate goofball and lover looking for his forever family! Blitz is looking for a home that will allow him to meet his energy needs while giving him a safe space to cuddle at the end of the day
While a young guy, he's made tremendous strides since being in rescue and is eager to keep learning how to be a dog! Blitz adores being around other dogs and is always game to play. He is very excitable when meeting new dogs in public and wants everyone to be his friend! He's great at picking up on dog's cues and meeting them at their level when interacting. Blitz has not done well around the cats he's met so far and it's not recommended he is around them long-term. Due to his breed and age, his prey drive plays a factor when interacting with smaller critters! As far as kids go, he's a bit more hesitant than he is with adults but does okay. We recommend a meet and greet prior to adopting to a home with children and continued training with child interactions. He's been doing well with crate training and spending time alone. He's been known to let out the occasional bark or howl, so a home with shared walls may not be ideal but is still possible. He's been used to a fenced yard and it would be a major bonus if his forever home has one too! Blitz prefers a medium to high activity level and will appreciate it if he can utilize a fenced yard to let off some additional steam. Blitz is a very lovable guy who learns very quickly! His ideal forever home will be one that's dedicated to his continued training and can give him the daily enrichment and socialization he needs. If you're interested in learning more about Blitz and think he might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes his family will feel lucky they did.

Dahlia, Female
Pitbull Terrier, 2-5 years
Hi! My name is Dahlia, but my foster parents call me Dolly, Dolly Dingo, or Dolly Doobers. I'm a 2-5 yo Pit Bull and I'm really really cute. I'm a bit timid when I first meet people, but warm up quickly with a gentle, controlled approach.
I love to give kisses, and may or may not slobber your face, arm, leg, ear, or whatever given part of you I can reach at the time. I can't tell you what my life was like before rescue, but I'm pretty sure I've had a lot of puppies. I was picked up by Animal Control while running free, and stayed there for a little over a month until I got out. I think I've had some really basic training, because I know how to sit at food time, but beyond that I need work on a leash and some improvement on my basic manners. I'm not tall, but my foster dad says I'm "A real thickums McGee" and I'm not really aware of how solid or heavy I am, so your personal space is at a definite risk with me around, I just want to be by people! I have to be in a home with no other dogs, as I get scared and defensive when they get close. I do well in a crate for the most part, although I may whine when I feel like I'm left alone in one. Because I'm a beefcake, I would also probably do best in a home without younger children due to my size but would likely love them. Overall though, I'm a very very sweet lover girl who just wants to be your favorite companion and best buddy to whoever adopts me.

Freya, Female
Pitbull Terrier, 5 years
This beautiful girl is Freya, she's 5-years-old and 70 pounds of sweetness. To know Freya is to love her. Freya absolutely loves hanging out with her people and is happiest when they're around. Whether it's on the run or being a couch potato, she is ready to take on the world if you're with her.
She loves a good cuddle from anyone willing, while a hike through the woods is a highlight to any day. Freya would need a fenced yard if off-leash but is low energy and only needs a short walk daily. She would also likely be ok with shared walls. She may vocalize when someone is at the door but is otherwise quiet and can be left alone but of course prefers to have someone around to chill with if given the option. Freya came to rescue after living in a stressful and toxic environment. As a result, she took some time to adjust, but after a few weeks is now starting to show her incredibly charming personality. Freya loves to find the sunny spot in a room and sun herself for hours if left undisturbed. When she walks into a room, she greets each person in turn before proceeding to the next room and will do this every time she enters the room. Freya is fully house-trained with no issues. She does have one quirk, she doesn't poop on leash so space for her to go without one is a bit of a must. She is crate trained and previously slept crated at night, but since coming to rescue has gotten to free roam the house with no issue. When it comes to other dogs Freya can be good with some, it would depend on temperament. Due to her previous home environment, she still reacts poorly to larger aggressive dogs. She is working with her foster on leash reactivity as she continues positive socialization. As for cats, she does have a prey drive and is generally not a big fan. Freya would likely do well with kids 5 and older. She's generally a girl that loves a calm space for her to be her mellow self and be part of a family. I

Candy, Female
Pomeranian/Sheltie Mix, 2 years
Meet Candy, as sweet as her namesake. She's a 2 year-old, 11-lb bundle of cuteness ready to steal your heart. Candy is a mixed breed pup estimated to be a terrier/sheltie mix.
Candy loves hanging out with her people and getting pets and love as much as she gives it. She is very shy and anxious in new situations and would do best in a home that can give her slow introductions to new people and pets. Candy lives with senior dogs in her foster home. She would most likely flourish with a patient and affectionate small-breed dog to help build her confidence. Otherwise, she'd do well as a solo dog if given the attention she needs to come out of her shell. She loves to get her outdoor time, running circles around a fenced yard. Candy came to rescue with little training, but has made significant progress since being in her foster home. She is potty trained and does okay on a leash. She's not very food motivated so lots of praise and positive reinforcement is key in teaching her new things! Candy has developed separation anxiety which is a work in progress. She will do best in a home where she can see her people throughout the day. Her forever home will be one that can accommodate these needs while continuing to improve on these behaviors. When home alone, Candy is known to bark and whine. For this reason, it's not ideal that Candy lives in a home with shared walls.

Cleo, Female
Chihuaha/Pug, 7 years
Alright, STOP. Collaborate and listen... She cute but she is expensive. Cleo will need prescription food and medication for the remainder of her life. Still interested? Read on!
Straight from her foster's mouth to your ears.. erhmm.. eyes.. learn more about Cleo directly from the source! They say diamonds are a girl's best friend.. And you better have a lot of them. To sell. To pay for her vet care. Haha! Just kidding! *looks around* Kind of.. Cleo has a condition called protein-losing enteropathy (PLE) caused by irritable bowel disease. She loses proteins from her bloodstream into her GI tract faster than her body can replenish them and her medical management helps regulate this condition. Cleo's daily life is unaffected by this and she does your everyday dog things. The only addition is giving her medication (pills) with her morning and evening meals which she takes without problem. Still interested? Then you're ready to hear our secret.. ---- Cleo is a GEM. A truly one-of-a-kind companion. So without further ado, here's what you need to know about Cleo! Extremely smart. Eats her own poop. In a glass-half-full kind of world, you could consider her a self-poop picker-upper. (But really, you are going to have to go out in those subzero temps and pick up her poop before she does.) In all seriousness, she is one of the best potty-trained dogs we have ever had. And she understands cues so quickly. She even knows sit, shake, high five, and can catch her food mid-air! Farts can clear a room. They just get stronger. Rootin' Tootin' Cleo should be in the Guinness Book of Records or something. Teeters on being the fun police. Still fun. Cleo coexists with dogs big and small but can sometimes be a playtime hall monitor. That said, if she finds the right dog with the right playstyle, she has a good time playing chase and wrestling! Loves tug o' war. Hates fetch. If you throw her toy, she's going to look at you like what are you even doing. On a scale of one to barky, she's about a five. While Cleo doesn't bark all day long, she is going to warn you about car doors slamming, people talking, the general goings on of the world. And her bark be loud so shared walls may not be the best fit for her. She stops with some guidance pretty quickly.. usually.. sometimes.. Loves food. Hates sharing. Cleo's favorite times of the day are, hands down, breakfast and dinner. And she's got that only child syndrome (I can say that, I'm an only child) where everything is hers. Her food. Her toys. Your food. All hers. And she will tell anyone who needs to know. Cleo doesn't currently live with cats but has in the past and takes it in stride. As long as she's the center of attention, that's all she really needs. Supposedly a Chihuahua/Pug mix. Definitely just as needy. Pug parents, am I right? Cleo will climb on your lap, push her way to your hands, and really doesn't care if she's stepping on another dog to get to the top. We mean that figuratively. Well.. except for those times when she's literally walking over a dog to get to you. Likes to give kisses. Licks everything. Literally everything.. the couch, the floor, the carpet, the coffee table, your clothes, and your face. Cleo is great with kids of all ages but it's probably best that she live in a home with teens or no kids on account of how much she loves food. Because she has PLE, Cleo needs to be on a restricted diet and can't be catching scraps or snagging food from those little hands. Because she would. She totally would. This girl's personality is a great balance of play and chill, and she walks so well on a leash.. when it's actually warm out.. A lap dog through and through, Cleo wants to be snuggled in with you, often under a blanket (Chihuahua parents, you get it). She's content to snooze on the couch or a dog bed when you're gone and she can fit into any social situation. Cleo is one of the best dogs out there and whoever has the privilege of adopting her is going to know love (and toots) beyond measure!

Montana, Male
Dogo Argentino, 1 years
Montana is a handsome 1-year-old 55lb Dogo Argentino looking for his forever home! He is fully house and crate trained and would do best either as an only dog or, an adopter who is committed to doing slow introductions over the course of a few weeks.
His excitement gets the best of him! At this time, Montana is not suited for young children under 14 due to his energy levels. Montana's foster family describes him as incredibly sweet and affectionate, with a penchant for exploring outdoors and chewing on bones. However, he thrives best in calmer environments and benefits from structured routines and regular exercise, needing at least an hour of activity each day. While he's adjusting to indoor living, Montana is still learning to manage his energy levels and would do best with someone experienced in bully breeds who can continue his training. He's neutered and in good health, with no known medical needs. Montana is a great working companion, and would thrive with a family that enjoys working with working breeds and power breeds. If you're ready to welcome Montana into your home and help him become the best version of himself, please reach out to learn more about this loving pup.

Bucky, Female
Staffordshire Terrier, 6 years
Hi! I'm Bucky,a 6-year-old girl who's the epitome of sweetness and affection. I love fetch, belly rubs, and hanging out with my family. I'll happily start a good tug-of-war over a stick or a frolic with my dog neighbors.
When I'm relaxing inside you'll likely find me by you on the couch or in my kennel, which I'll also gladly hangout in as I wait for you to come home. I love other dogs but I can take a moment to warm up. Once I do I'll be a social butterfly. With appropriate introductions, a chill space to say hi organically, I'll be ready to hangout with my canine friends. I just need to feel comfortable and prepared. I haven't had any cat tests since coming to rescue, so I'm not quite sure how I'd do there and although I don't currently live with kids, my affectionate nature suggests I could do well. What would my perfect day include? Balls, sticks, a blanket, some time to run and play fetch, but I'm an easy-going girl happy to do much of anything. I could live without the sound of the vacuum and a nail trim, but who wouldn't? With 15-30 minutes of playtime in the yard I'm golden for the day, and will spend much of the rest of it sleeping or calmly chilling at home. I have no issues with being left alone but will always happily choose to hangout with people. I'm not particularly vocal so could adjust well to an apartment without too much stimuli, and would love a fenced-in yard, but really I'm just looking for a family that wants to love me as much as I'm ready to love them!

Berlin, Male
Siberian Husky, 2 years
Hi! I'm Berlin, an exceptionally handsome 2-year-old Husky, weighing in at 55 pounds of playful affection. I'm eagerly looking to find my pack and here to tell you a bit about me in case you're it! Although I can be momentarily a bit shy when first meeting someone, I'll quickly warm up and consider you a friend.
I become incredibly affectionate to anyone that gets to know me, showering my people with plenty of kisses and snuggles. I have the most adorable habit of wrapping my legs around yours to keep you close. I LOVE dogs and gladly co-habitate with 3 resident pups currently in my foster home. I'll show a friendly hello to other dogs out and about by sniffing and wagging my tail. When it comes to cats, we shouldn't mix. As for kids, I have previously lived harmoniously with an eight-year-old and would likely do well with kids of any age, although the younger ones may get knocked over! When it comes to crate training, I am pretty awesome as I particularly like the comfort my crate provides, and am used to sleeping and eating in my crate. Although I might be slightly bummed when you leave the house initially, I'll settle into some time alone with no issues and don't get anxious. I also am chill in the car, and am always ready for a new adventure. As with many dogs my breed, I can be vocal in communicating with my humans, but mostly when I need to go out and want to play or when you've just come back and I want to say hello. I'm not particularly vocal all things considered. I'm a guy with energy so I thrive most on regular exercise and would benefit from a tall fenced-in yard (e.g., 6-foot privacy fence would be the best) where I can run and play safely. I can be a bit picky with my food choices, but with trial and error you'll figure out some of my favorite things, like zucchini and sweet potato, I'm a healthy guy! You'll want to be sure to give me a good brush/groom regularly to keep me looking my best with my beautiful thick coat. My priorities for my ideal home include love, patience and plenty of playtime! Are you looking for an affectionate, playful pup in return? Whether it's chasing toys, enjoying cuddles on the couch, or going for a run, I'll always be your loyal companion to take on life with.

Aprilia, Female
Staffordshire Terrier, 1.5 years
Say hello to April! April is a 1.5 year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix and 59 lbs of pure energy and affection. April might take a bit of time to gain confidence around new people, but once she does she will be your best friend forever!
She understands that her calling in life is to act as her human's shadow and will go the extra mile in order to not miss out on any action happening at home. This might even include her licking your hair while you catch up on your latest Netflix binge! April is house trained. It is likely that April used to spend most of her time outdoors, so she may need a bit of guidance as to where the appropriate place to go potty is. She has caught on quickly in her foster home, no accidents! April is also crate trained. She does well in her crate at night and while home alone. While April prefers to see her humans throughout the day, she does well when left home alone and has not been known to vocalize or be destructive. She requires a medium level of activity and is content with a daily walk and plenty of stuffed toys to play with! April is a curious girl who would love to have a fenced yard to sniff around in but it is not required. April has enjoyed meeting and playing with dogs in her foster home and does very well. She prefers to have a confident dog around to help teach her how to be the best pup! Ideally, April would find a forever home that has a built-in canine companion but it is not required. When it comes to cats, April has yet to meet one! She has shown signs of a prey drive so a meet-and-greet would be necessary if there is a cat in the household. When April is feeling playful, her energy can be very high! Her play style is all in good fun but this may overwhelm young children as she can get a bit mouthy. She would do best in a household with children 13 years and older. April is ready to meet her forever home! With patience and consistent structure she will blossom into the perfect companion that anyone could ask for. If you're interested in learning more about April and think she might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes her family will be lucky they did.

Milo, Male
Mini Australian Shepherd, 5 years
Meet Milo! This 5 year old, 40 pound, Miniature Australian Shepherd is ready to meet his forever family! This spunky boy is looking for someone who can be his best friend while accommodating his high energy needs.
Due to Milo's breed, he likes to have a job to focus on each day. Sometimes, he thinks his job is to manage the people around him. This can manifest in being nitpicky around children and he'll want to correct their behavior and can become frustrated when this doesn't go his way. For this reason, he should go to a home with kids 13 years and older. Aside from these behaviors, Milo loves being around people and receiving all the love and attention he can get! Milo was crate trained as a puppy but it's not his favorite spot to be. He prefers to free roam the house and does very well. He adjusts quickly to new surroundings but has anxiety that's well managed by daily medication. It's important that Milo's forever family will be one that's dedicated to managing his anxiety long-term. Milo does great with other dogs but prefers them to be more submissive than him in size and personality. He likes to be the boss! He'd likely do well with another dog in the home given the right dynamics are in place. We aren't sure how he'd do around cats long-term. He's had short interactions with them and is largely disinterested. This smart boy enjoys a moderate to high activity level to stimulate him each day. For this reason, he would like a home that can give him a couple walks a day with additional playtime in between. He does well with a tie-out so a fenced yard is not required. Milo's ready to meet his forever family! With lots of love and activity, he will be the ultimate best friend anyone could ask for. If you're interested in learning more about Teddy and think he might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes his family will be lucky they did.

Mutt Damon, Male
Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler, 4 years
Say hello to Mutt Damon (AKA Sylvester)! This sweet boy is an Australian Cattle Dog mix and approximately 4 years old. At 50 pounds, he's a medium sized boy who will miss no opportunity to be a lap dog!
There are very few things that Mutt Damon hates aside from watching you play Mario Kart and his crate! He can be coaxed into his crate with treats but doesn't enjoy staying for very long. Since being in rescue, he's proven to be a very good boy who does well outside of the crate at night and when home alone. He's been known to bark occasionally when his people leave or come home and prefers to see them throughout the day. For this reason, Mutt Damon may not be a candidate for shared walls. Mutt Damon is the perfect hiking buddy and is always ready for adventure! He requires a medium level of activity and enjoys long walks each day. A fenced yard would be ideal to help burn off extra energy but this is not a requirement. Mutt Damon hasn't had long interactions with other dogs yet but he is very eager to make furry friends on walks. He is careful and respectful of their boundaries when they meet. For this reason, it's likely he would do well in a home with other dogs. He's not yet met a cat and we aren't sure how he'd react. A cat meet and greet may be necessary prior to adoption. As far as kids go, we aren't sure how he would react. When he gets excited, he has a tendency to be a bit jumpy and mouthy. For this reason, young children may not be ideal for Mutt Damon. Mutt Damon's ready to meet his forever family! With lots of love and a consistent home to hang out in, he will be the ultimate best friend anyone could ask for. Simba, Male
Shepherd Mix, 14 weeks
At 14-weeks-old and 22 pounds, this Shepherd puppy has a heart full of energy and curiosity! Whether he’s zooming around with his foster siblings or learning new tricks like "sit" and "shake,"
Simba makes every day an adventure. His sweet morning kisses and love for a good nap make him the perfect companion for anyone looking for a fun and affectionate pup. Simba is a total social butterfly -- he gets along great with his foster siblings and is learning to play with them like a pro. While we're unsure of his behavior around kids or other animals, his gentle nature should make him a good playmate for them too. Simba doesn’t require a fence, but he absolutely loves his playtime, so he should be fine with exploring on walks! Simba’s smart and quick to adjust. He’s still working on potty training and crate training, so with some patience and guidance, he will be making good progress. Simba is food-driven (especially at breakfast!), which makes him a perfect student for training. Jack, Male
Beagle, 1 years
Meet Jack, a playful and affectionate Beagle with a heart as big as his love for treats! This handsome guy sports a classic Beagle coat of white with brown and black patches, weighing in at 24 pounds—a perfect small companion.
Jack is all about the snuggles, often curling up on his favorite blanket when he’s ready for a nap, and you might catch him perched on the arm of the couch like Snoopy, surveying his kingdom with curiosity. Jack has made great strides since coming into rescue and he’s working hard to master the art of being a good boy. He’s working on becoming more comfortable in the crate and will go in it to relax without being prompted. He’s gained more confidence in his foster home and is showing off his playful side by jumping for treats and zooming around the yard! A fenced yard is ideal for Jack so he can play safely. Jack is still nervous to meet other dogs and will opt to hide behind his people rather than play. He’s yet to meet a cat, but would likely need a slow introduction before feeling comfortable around them. He’s done well with older kids and will gladly accept snuggles from all people! Due to the nature of Jack’s breed, he’s been known to be vocal when home alone. For this reason, he should go to a home that does not have shared walls..

Apollo, Male
Pitbull Terrier, 1.5 months
Meet Apollo, a lively, affectionate 18-month-old Lab-Pit mix with a love for adventure, a passion for fetch, and a penchant for hugs! Weighing in at 55 pounds, Apollo sports a sleek black coat with hints of brown and a white “eagle” marking on his chest.
He’s an energetic and playful companion who needs an active household that can keep up with his high energy and zest for life. Apollo is house-trained and crate-trained, easily making it through the night without any issues. He’s done very well spending nighttime outside of the crate and usually opts for a comfy spot on the couch. He’s social with other dogs and loves to play, though his playstyle can be a bit intense for some. With the right doggie friend and some guidance, he could be a great sibling to a similarly energetic dog. While he’s met cats through a fence, his high-energy nature may make him a little too interested in cats indoors, so a gradual introduction or a cat-free home might be best. Apollo is good with older kids (13+), but he needs clear boundaries and a confident handler to help him understand his strength. Apollo’s daily routine includes long walks and plenty of fetch time. His favorite game is chasing down a tennis ball, though he may sometimes playfully dart away with it before returning. Apollo is learning new commands daily, including “sit,” “no,” and “stay,” though he occasionally lets out a funny “sigh” when he doesn’t get his way. His foster notes that he gives the best hugs and has a hilarious habit of expressing his “opinion” with little sounds when he loses a tug-of-war for direction on a walk. This pup would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore to his heart’s content. Though not prone to separation anxiety, Apollo prefers to have someone around; he’s only alone for a few hours a week and would do best in a home where he can get plenty of companionship and attention. For a family that loves the outdoors and is ready to share in Apollo’s boundless enthusiasm, he’ll be a loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining addition! Ready to meet your new best friend? Apollo can’t wait to show you his signature hug!

Boo, Female
Chihuahuah, 2 years
This 2-year-old Chihuahua is super sweet and has a heart full of love! At just 12 pounds, this adorable pup is a quiet companion who thrives on being near her humans, whether she's curled up at your feet or nestled on your lap. She’s a low-maintenance cuddle bug with a bit of playful energy, making her the perfect balance of calm and fun.
Boo has adjusted well to her foster home, showing her affectionate and trusting nature. After a few days of higher energy and some nervousness, her loving personality quickly emerged. Fully house-trained, she’s had occasional accidents, likely due to some anxiety, but she does well on a schedule. Boo is crate-trained, settling down within 10 minutes, and she’s quiet and respectful when left alone—though she’d prefer to have her humans around of course. This little lady is great with other animals, showing she's curious and polite during introductions with dogs and cats. She hasn’t been introduced to kids while in our care yet, but her sweet demeanor suggests she’d be friendly and a great family dog. When it comes to playtime, Boo doesn't really know what to do with toys or doggy playmates, but enjoys short walks where she can explore and look for bunnies. Surprisingly strong for her size, she’ll keep you on your toes when she spots something exciting. When she gets a burst of energy at home, she loves zooming around the apartment or hopping between furniture for playtime. Her jumps are quite impressive—during her first week with higher energy, she would easily jump two feet in the air when we came home from work, hopping around like a little kangaroo! Boo’s quirks are sure to make you smile, like her obsession with belly rubs (she’ll stay still for hours if you keep petting her!) and her excited little jumps when she’s happy to see you. She’s eager to please, responding well to training with a little shredded cheese as motivation. Boo would thrive in a loving home where she can be part of the family. If you’re looking for an affectionate, quiet, and endearing companion, Boo is ready to win your heart!

Ringo, Male
Miniature Beagle, 2 years
This 2-year-old Beagle is the sweetest and spunkiest of dogs! Weighing in at 22 pounds, he’s the perfect size for cuddles—and cuddling just happens to be one of his favorite activities.
While his past has made him more anxious and sometimes overstimulated, he shows his bravery and resilience in new ways every day. In no time, Ringo will happily follow you around the house, and be your favorite snuggle buddy at night, making every night cozy and warm. With some patience and guidance, he’s made remarkable progress and become a great roommate! While he’s house-trained on a consistent schedule, his pacing around the room will be your cue to go outside. If you're home, he may go into his kennel for a safe space, or when you say “take a nap” (especially if there’s a treat involved)! When he's alone, he can be very vocal and unsettled in the kennel. Due to his noise level during these times, he will not be a fit for homes with shared walls (apartments/condos). This little explorer thrives with structure and enjoys mental and physical stimulation. Ringo loves to go on walks (30-45 minutes) where he can sniff to his heart's content, along with food puzzles to entertain his Beagle nose. Ringo is eager to learn with you, too! He’s working on commands like “sit” and “touch,” treating every session like the most fun game ever. When it comes to his favorite things, Ringo’s love for squeaky toys knows no bounds—his hedgehog stuffy is a prized possession. He’s also an expert in the fine art of destroying stuffed toys but enjoys chew toys, kongs, and even a good antler. Ringo’s playful spirit is matched only by his need for cuddles. He’ll give you endless kisses, follow you everywhere, and look at you with those soulful Beagle eyes that make it impossible to say no. Ringo is happy to make friends, but it takes a little extra bravery to do so. He has met children as young as 6 years-old and adored them, though he is still learning personal space. Because of this, dog-savvy kids aged 8+ would be the best match. He has briefly met his foster family's cat, but quickly retreated. With the right introduction, he could likely coexist peacefully with a confident, relaxed cat. Around other dogs, Ringo does best with calm or well-balanced companions, as big personalities can make him nervous. He finds comfort in the presence of another dog and could benefit from a home where his human or canine companions are often around. Ringo would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands his puppy-like curiosity and gives him the structure he needs to blossom. In return, you'll receive a lifetime of laughter and endless kisses! Could you be the one to give this brave, spunky, and snuggly pup his forever home?

Leo, Male
Yellow Lab, 3 years
Meet Leo, a charming 3-year-old Yellow Lab mix with a lot of love to give. Weighing in at 65 pounds, Leo is equal parts energy and snuggles—he can go from chasing a ball with unbridled enthusiasm to curling up on your lap in a heartbeat.
Leo is the ultimate "Velcro dog," always by your side, ready for whatever adventure (or nap) the day brings. Leo's favorite activities include going for walks, snuggling up to you, and the occasional wrestling match with his dog buddies. He’s particularly fond of outings to Petco, where he’s learning to be more confident around people and dogs in new environments. He’s a sociable pup who gets along well with other dogs, provided he’s established as the top dog. Once that’s sorted, he’s happy to play, share toys, and even snuggle up with them. He’s also great with cats, offering gentle grooming nibbles to patient feline friends. As your future roommate, Leo will fit right in! Leo is fully house-trained and knows how to make himself comfortable in his crate, though he’d prefer to be out and about with his humans or canine pals. While he’s still mastering leash etiquette and commands like "sit" and "stay," Leo is eager to please, especially when there are treats involved. His quirky barks make him a great alert dog who’ll keep you informed about every squirrel or mail delivery. And when you come home from work, Leo will be right there to greet you with excitement and a shoe to play with. If you're looking for a lovable, playful, and loyal companion with a "3-year-old puppy" spirit, Leo is ready to be your best friend and brighten your days!

Jenkins, Male
Cattle Dog Mix, 1.5 years
This 1.5-year-old cattle dog mix is a bundle of love! At 55 pounds, Jenkins is happy cuddling on the couch with his head in your lap or entertaining himself with toys. He is a low-maintenance, easygoing pup ready to bring joy to his forever family.
Jenkins is fully house-trained and makes a great roommate! He knows the difference between dog toys and people things—so no chewing on your shoes with this guy. He can be trusted to be home alone and is very polite around food, though he might sniff around to check out what’s cooking. He’s also crate-trained and sleeps peacefully in his crate at night or whenever he needs a break. While Jenkins barks occasionally as a part-time watchdog, he’s easily calmed and makes a fantastic home office coworker, quietly napping through virtual meetings. He previously lived in a townhouse without issue, making him a good fit for various living situations. Jenkins will easily adjust to new friends if given a little help! At his foster home, Jenkins has greatly benefited from his confident canine sibling who can help him feel secure and teach him the ropes. He loves to chase, wrestle, and play tug with other dogs, but is still learning to share his toys and space. While Jenkins hasn’t had extensive experience with children, he’s greeted kids at the bus stop with polite curiosity. A meet-and-greet would help determine compatibility with potential human siblings. Cats, however, are a definite no-go for Jenkins. Living with a cat causes him significant anxiety, so a cat-free home is a must for his happiness and well-being. Jenkins thrives on a mix of activity and relaxation. A morning walk, some toy time, and play sessions with a doggy sibling are enough to keep him happy. If he’s an only dog, two short walks a day or some yard time would suit him perfectly. He’s not prone to zoomies but has bursts of playful energy that are fun to watch. Jenkins loves toys—especially ones he can chew or tug—and enjoys chasing balls or being chased while carrying one. His adorable habit of pouncing on toys will keep you smiling, and his independent playtime shows his ability to entertain himself when needed. Jenkins came from a loving family who helped him become the confident, affectionate dog he is today. He’s trusting, sweet-natured, and eager to bond with his new family. Could Jenkins be your perfect match? If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and adaptable dog who will adore you endlessly, Jenkins might just be the one!

Penny, Female
Hound Mix, 5 years
Penny is a lovable 6-year-old Hound/Retriever mix with the sweetest face! At 90 pounds, she’s a large but gentle soul who enjoys staying close to her people, both indoors and out.
Her sweet nature and adorable habit of "plopping" down for a nap next to you make her a perfect companion for a family looking for a loyal and mellow dog. While Penny is a bit shy at first, she settled in at home nicely with some love and patience! She is great at signaling to her foster family when she needs to go outside, so she has never had an accident inside. Once she's warmed up to you, she'll act as your loyal guard dog when people come over, but will quickly calm down when given pets. The rest of the time, you can find her happily relaxing around the house without any issues. While she’s not a fan of crates, she’s proven she doesn’t need one. Penny loves to make friends! This gentle girl is great with other dogs and is generally friendly and submissive. She runs and plays happily with her canine friends, though she may need a bit of guidance around high-value treats like bones. A resident dog may also be helpful for Penny to adjust into her new home (duck jerky helps too!). Penny also tolerates cats, including kittens, and peacefully coexists with her feline housemates. With her humans, a soft tone, gentle approach, and plenty of patience will help her adjust. She’s a little shy around men and may take a few days to feel comfortable. At the same time, Penny adores children and greets them with tail wags and kisses. This sweetheart is very easy to please. Penny doesn’t need hours of exercise to be content -- a short walk is enough to keep her happy and healthy, making her ideal for a family looking for a low-energy companion. She doesn’t require a fenced yard and is more than happy to stick by your side, both indoors and out. Penny’s favorite things include jerky treats, cheese, and all the cuddles you’re willing to give. If you’re looking for a loyal, mellow, and deeply affectionate dog who will stay by your side and fill your days with love, Penny is the perfect match!

Pheobe, Female
Miniature Beagle, 2 years
Meet Phoebe, the most adorable miniature beagle with a heart full of love, and sweet as can be! This little lady had a rough start in life, spending her early years in a kennel, but she's making up for lost time and thriving as she learns how to be a "real" dog.
Phoebe bonds quickly with her people, and her favorite part of the day is snuggling up in your lap for a good cuddle session. You can see in her eyes just how thankful she is to finally experience love, care, and cozy heated blankets. She would love a family that is home often or is looking for a pup to join in on their adventures! This pint-sized sweetheart is both house-trained and crate-trained, making her an easy addition to any home. She’s mostly quiet during the day, however like a typical beagle, she’s our watch dog and makes sure people walking by know she’s home! Because of this, she may do better in a home without shared walls. Phoebe may prefer to be your one and only bff, however with slow intros she has been very receptive to other pups. While she’s absolutely happy to lounge and relax, she also enjoys a short daily walk to explore her surroundings. Don’t plan on going too far though…Phoebe is much more interested in sniffing all the new smells than getting exercise! Phoebe has a gentle and loving personality, and it’s clear she’s thrilled to finally be living the good life she so deserves.

Papa Jean, Male
Miniature Beagle, 2 years
This 4-year-old, 25 lb Beagle is the sweetest cuddler! Papa Jean is the perfect size for snuggles on the couch and fits seamlessly into a laid-back household. Despite his timid nature, this little guy is blossoming into a loyal and affectionate companion who adores being near his people (and sometimes trying to take your slippers!).
Papa Jean is still recovering from his former life as a breeding mill dog, so he is learning how to live his best life in a family home environment. While he's still working on house training, he’s shown great potential with a consistent schedule and patient guidance. He’s not yet crate trained but has handled kennel situations well when needed, showing the he is adaptable and that his trust is growing. True to his Beagle roots, he can be a bit vocal when the mailman comes or when someone leaves, but his mild separation anxiety is manageable. He’s happiest when people are around but has done well when left alone for a few hours. Though he’s a little shy around new dogs and kids, slow introductions help him feel at ease, and he’s proving to be a mellow and friendly pup. So far, he has has some success with the neighbor kids petting him while he's out for a walk, so he's warming up to others well. With cats, he’s a wonderful roommate—happy to coexist and occasionally play, though he mostly leaves them be. Papa Jean’s favorite activities include taking luxurious naps on the couch, enjoying the occasional cheese treat, sometimes playing fetch alone—tossing his toys in the air and chasing them himself! If you're with him, he is also happy to play tug-of-war with his favorite cow toy. He’s a chill dog who doesn’t require hours of exercise, so just a walk or two with some backyard playtime has been working great. He loves to run in circles to tire himself out, and loves exploring the backyard. This sweet boy’s past has made him cautious in new situations, but his gentle resilience shines through as he learns to trust. A quiet, patient home with loving humans will help him continue to grow into the confident, cuddly dog he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a low-energy, lovable pup who’s ready to be part of your family, Papa Jean is your guy!

Auger, Male
Maltese Poodle Mix, 7 years
This 7-year-old, 13 pound Maltese Poodle mix is a little peanut with a big personality! With his curly coat and love of attention, Auger brings charm and playfulness to any home. He thrives on being around his people and is happiest when he’s the center of attention.
Auger is quick to make himself at home! While he's a little shy at first, he adjusts quickly to new environments and loves to be part of the action. Auger’s favorite activities include playing fetch, going for walks, and taking cozy naps on the couch. He also loves being dressed up in sweaters, looking absolutely adorable while doing so. Auger will do best in homes with a fenced yard for some outdoor fun and to burn off his bursts of energy, but regular walks or a long leash in the yard would be fine as well. He enjoys a good walk but doesn’t need a long distance, so he's happy to relax with a good nap on the couch shortly after. When making friends, he's had great experiences with kids and other dogs! Auger loves meeting other dogs and eagerly says hello to every pup he encounters. While he hasn’t been tested with cats, his foster family has no concerns so far so a supervised introduction could go a long way to make him comfortable. While Auger is house-trained, he may need a little patience from his future family to help him along. He recently lost his previous owner, and his behavior has changed a little since then. He got a new habit of marking indoors, which may improve now that he’s been neutered. He gets a little anxious when left alone and does not like being confined, so he has not made progress on crate training. His foster family believes that having another confident dog in the home, leaving the TV on, and using calming supplements have helped him manage his anxiety. Auger would be a lovely addition to any home, but because of his instinct to bark when alone, he will not be a match for homes with shared walls (apartments/condos). Auger is the cutest little fella who is easy to love, making him a wonderful companion for a patient and understanding family. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate pup who will keep you smiling with his antics and cuddles, Auger is ready to meet you!

Brady is an outgoing, playful, and curious pup who is always up for fun. Whether he’s chasing squeaky balls, chewing on his favorite toys, or running around outside, he’s happiest when he’s active and engaged. While Brady loves his adventures, he’s just as excited to wind down with his family, basking in their attention and affection. Though he's a little timid at first, Brady loves making all kinds of friends! This lovable pup is great with other dogs and has a playful nature, although he can be a bit anxious around larger dogs. He also loves children and eagerly joins in on their games, though his enthusiasm sometimes leads to jumping up. German Shepherd Mix, 11 weeks
Silas is an 11-week-old Shepherd mix who is full of puppy energy and charm! At 14.5 pounds, his fun personality and gentle nature make him the perfect balance of playful and cuddly. This little guy loves playing with his foster sibling, exploring the yard, and curling up with his favorite teddy bear for naps. He's also sure to win you over by sitting down, tilting his head, and staring at you with his floppy ears bouncing around, making him absolutely irresistible.
Silas is still learning how to behave at home, but is well on his way to being house-trained with consistent outdoor potty breaks and a regular routine. He goes outside like a champ! With consistency and patience, he is sure to potty train quickly. Overall, he's a quiet and sweet boy, always ready to cuddle. He’s also loving his crate time and enjoys sleeping in his crate without whining, so training has been a breeze! While Silas does not have experience with dogs outside the home, he's getting along swimmingly with his current roommates. He loves playing with his other foster sibling and older resident dog, getting super excited and wagging his tail when he sees them! Sometimes he follows the resident dog around the backyard, learning quickly by copying his every move. While Silas hasn’t met kids yet, his sweet and gentle demeanor suggests he’d do well with them. He’s also had positive interactions with cats in his foster home, following them curiously but showing no aggression. Though Silas is still too young for walks, he loves having space to explore and play, so a yard is recommended until he’s old enough to safely venture out. He’s a Shepherd mix, which means he’ll need lots of exercise and mental stimulation as he grows. Right now, he's been known to run through the cat tunnel—though he might outgrow that pastime soon! Silas is currently receiving treatment for an ulcer on his left eye, but it doesn’t slow him down one bit! His expressions are even more endearing because of it, and his healing journey hasn’t dimmed his bright personality. If you’re looking for a playful, cuddly companion with a touch of gentle sweetness, Silas is ready to join your family and fill your days with love and laughter. He is house-trained but benefits from a consistent routine to avoid occasional accidents, especially when left alone for extended periods. Regular outdoor breaks and taking him out right after crate time help him do his best. When he's crated, Howie loves having a cozy bed inside and settles in without barking, though he sometimes needs a little coaxing (a treat works wonders!). His foster family is working on his leash manners and resource guarding with toys—he’s improving with positive reinforcement, such as trading a treat for a toy when it’s time to put it away. Howie would benefit from someone who is willing to be patient while he learns the rules of a new home, and who is willing to put structure and routine in place so he can feel safe and confident.

Bruce, Male
Pit/Lab Mix, 3 years
Bruce is a bundle of joy with an endless supply of energy and kisses! At 70 pounds, this Pit Bull/retriever mix still believes he’s a lap dog, blissfully unaware of his size. Whether he's cuddling on the couch with his head in your lap or playing with his squeaky toys, Bruce is a happy-go-lucky pup ready to bring joy to his forever family.
Bruce has adjusted well to his new foster home and loves soaking up the affection he receives. He is house-trained (only one accident since arriving) and crate-trained, where he is usually settling down after a whine or two. While he does bark when he hears noises in his apartment building, he settles easily, making him a good fit for shared walls. His change in environment may be causing him to get an upset stomach more easily now, so he's currently on a special diet for a sensitive stomach while we figure that out. Bruce loves to make new friends—that means more playtime for him! He’s been friendly with people and the dogs he’s met so far. When he's met other dogs, they all have been 30+ pounds, so his compatibility with smaller dogs is still unknown. He hasn’t been around children or cats yet, so a slow introduction would be recommended to prevent him from unintentionally knocking someone over when he's excited. He is very energetic, so he likes all the play and walks he can get! Bruce is a fun-loving pup that adores squeaky toys, tennis balls, and anything else he can play with. While lots of playtime is helpful, he will also need regular exercise and a fenced yard to manage his high-energy personality. With his affectionate nature and fun-loving spirit, Bruce would thrive with a family that can keep up with his zest for life.
