Adoptable Dogs

Dahlia, Female
Pitbull Terrier, 5 years
Hi! My name is Dahlia, but I also have many fun nicknames - Dolly, Dolly Dingo, and Dolly Doobers! I’m a 5-year-old adorable lady who loves to give kisses! I may weigh 67-pounds but I consider myself a lap dog! I just love my people!
It's probable that I had a lot of puppies in my past. I was picked up by animal control and stayed in the shelter for a month before going to a Pet Haven foster home where I could thrive. Due to my past, I'm a bit timid at first but I warm up quickly with a gentle approach! I know how to sit at food time and do well in a crate for the most part! Because of my size and playful nature, I would do best in a home with older kids. I love human kids but I want to be your one and only fur-child! I'm a very, very sweet lover girl who just wants to be your favorite companion and best buddy!

Aprilia, Female
Staffordshire Terrier, 1 year
Say hello to April! April is a 1.5 year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix and 62 lbs of pure energy and affection. April might take a bit of time to gain confidence around new people, but once she does she will be your best friend forever!
She understands that her calling in life is to act as her human's shadow and will go the extra mile in order to not miss out on any action happening at home. April is destined to be your best friend and partner in crime for all the rest of her days! April is house trained. It is likely that April used to spend most of her time outdoors, so she may need a bit of guidance as to where the appropriate place to go potty is. She has caught on quickly in her foster home, no accidents! April is also crate trained. She does well in her crate at night and while home alone. While April prefers to see her humans throughout the day, she does well when left home alone and has not been known to vocalize or be destructive. She requires a medium level of activity and is content with a daily walk and plenty of stuffed toys to play with! April is a curious girl who would love to have a fenced yard to sniff around in but it is not required. April has enjoyed meeting and playing with dogs in her foster home and does very well. She prefers to have a confident dog around to help teach her how to be the best pup! Ideally, April would find a forever home that has a built-in canine companion but it is not required. When it comes to cats, April has yet to meet one! She has shown signs of a prey drive so a meet-and-greet would be necessary if there is a cat in the household. When April is feeling playful, her energy can be very high! Her play style is all in good fun but this may overwhelm young children as she can get a bit mouthy. She would do best in a household with children 13 years and older. April is ready to meet her forever home! With patience and consistent structure she will blossom into the perfect companion that anyone could ask for. If you're interested in learning more about April and think she might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes her family will be lucky they did.

Cleo, Female
Chihuahua/Pug, 7 years
Alright, STOP. Collaborate and listen... She cute but she is expensive. Cleo will need prescription food and medication for the remainder of her life. Still interested? Read on! Straight from her foster's mouth to your ears.. erhmm.. eyes.. learn more about Cleo directly from the source!
They say diamonds are a girl's best friend.. And you better have a lot of them. To sell. To pay for her vet care. Haha! Just kidding! *looks around* Kind of.. Cleo has a condition called protein-losing enteropathy (PLE) caused by irritable bowel disease. She loses proteins from her bloodstream into her GI tract faster than her body can replenish them and her medical management helps regulate this condition. Cleo's daily life is unaffected by this and she does your everyday dog things. The only addition is giving her medication (pills) with her morning and evening meals which she takes without problem. Still interested? Then you're ready to hear our secret.. ---- Cleo is a GEM. A truly one-of-a-kind companion. So without further ado, here's what you need to know about Cleo! Extremely smart. Eats her own poop. In a glass-half-full kind of world, you could consider her a self-poop picker-upper. (But really, you are going to have to go out in those subzero temps and pick up her poop before she does.) In all seriousness, she is one of the best potty-trained dogs we have ever had. And she understands cues so quickly. She even knows sit, shake, high five, and can catch her food mid-air! Farts can clear a room. They just get stronger. Rootin' Tootin' Cleo should be in the Guinness Book of Records or something. Teeters on being the fun police. Still fun. Cleo coexists with dogs big and small but can sometimes be a playtime hall monitor. That said, if she finds the right dog with the right playstyle, she has a good time playing chase and wrestling! Loves tug o' war. Hates fetch. If you throw her toy, she's going to look at you like what are you even doing. On a scale of one to barky, she's about a five. While Cleo doesn't bark all day long, she is going to warn you about car doors slamming, people talking, the general goings on of the world. And her bark be loud so shared walls may not be the best fit for her. She stops with some guidance pretty quickly.. usually.. sometimes.. Loves food. Hates sharing. Cleo's favorite times of the day are, hands down, breakfast and dinner. And she's got that only child syndrome (I can say that, I'm an only child) where everything is hers. Her food. Her toys. Your food. All hers. And she will tell anyone who needs to know. Cleo doesn't currently live with cats but has in the past and takes it in stride. As long as she's the center of attention, that's all she really needs. Supposedly a Chihuahua/Pug mix. Definitely just as needy. Pug parents, am I right? Cleo will climb on your lap, push her way to your hands, and really doesn't care if she's stepping on another dog to get to the top. We mean that figuratively. Well.. except for those times when she's literally walking over a dog to get to you. Likes to give kisses. Licks everything. Literally everything.. the couch, the floor, the carpet, the coffee table, your clothes, and your face. Cleo is great with kids of all ages but it's probably best that she live in a home with teens or no kids on account of how much she loves food. Because she has PLE, Cleo needs to be on a restricted diet and can't be catching scraps or snagging food from those little hands. Because she would. She totally would. This girl's personality is a great balance of play and chill, and she walks so well on a leash.. when it's actually warm out.. A lap dog through and through, Cleo wants to be snuggled in with you, often under a blanket (Chihuahua parents, you get it). She's content to snooze on the couch or a dog bed when you're gone and she can fit into any social situation. Cleo is one of the best dogs out there and whoever has the privilege of adopting her is going to know love (and toots) beyond measure!

Diamond, Female
Pit Bull Terrier, 6 years
Meet Diamond! Around 6 years old and 83 pounds, Diamond is a lovable, cuddly sweetheart . With her happy-go-lucky energy, wagging tail, and deep love for cheese and couch snuggles, she’s ready to be someone’s loyal best friend.
It didn't take long for Diamond to adjust to her new foster home, so after a few days, she was the happiest dog on earth! Diamond is fully house-trained and she does great in her crate—especially when there’s a treat (or cheese) involved. She rarely barks, is comfortable being left alone for extended periods, and is generally very well-behaved in the home. Just be careful around the vaccuum... she'll try to chomp it! Diamond has moderate energy. She would be fine with short walks each day and some playtime, but would love longer walks. On walks, whenever Diamond passes someone she slows down looking for love and pets, oftentimes turning long walks into even longer ones. Now that she has gained back her health, she is energetic and always looking for love and attention. Diamond takes medication twice a day for hypothyroidism and has some dry skin, but neither slows her down. When making friends, her reaction to other dogs varies—she’s sometimes uninterested, sometimes curious—so a proper introduction to any resident dog would be necessary. She hasn't been tested with cats or kids. Diamond is more than just a pretty face—she's a survivor looking for a forever home where she can finally relax, play, and be cherished. If you are interested in Diamond, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Irie, Female
Pit Bull Terrier, 10 months
Meet Irie! Irie is a sweet, smart, and snuggly 10-month-old brindle beauty with boundless energy and a heart full of love. After being found as a neglected stray, she’s come a long way in just two weeks with her foster family—showing impressive progress in house training, learning basic commands like “sit” and “stay,” and discovering the joy of cozying up with humans (especially if she can sneak into your lap!).
Though not yet fully house-trained, Irie is getting the hang of using pee pads and responds well to gentle corrections. She is crate-trained and enjoys relaxing in her crate but prefers to be near people—she’s happiest with company and doesn't like being left outside alone. Indoors, she’s mostly respectful, only testing boundaries a few times (a single counter surf and a keen interest in wooden furniture) but always stops when corrected. Irie hasn’t lived with other dogs, cats, or children, but she’s shown calm curiosity when seeing other dogs and has ignored cats at the vet office. Her gentle demeanor suggests she could potentially get along well with others in the right home. She’s a high-energy pup who loves tug-of-war, chew toys, and rolling around for belly rubs. Occasionally she gets the zoomies or can be a little mouthy, but it’s typical puppy behavior—and she’s learning fast! She will thrive with a patient, active adopter who can continue her training and help her feel safe and loved. A fenced yard is ideal for her to burn off energy in a secure space. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s equal parts cuddly and playful, Irie might just be your perfect match. She’s ready to leave her past behind and start her new life—with you. If you are interested in Irie, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $450. Spec *Hospice*, Male
German Shepherd/Border Collie mix, 11 Years
Meet Spec – the sweetest senior gentleman! He has the calmest, most even-keeled energy and an incredibly gentle soul. At 11 years old, he still enjoys his walks and playtime but is equally happy lounging beside you on a lazy afternoon.
Living with two resident dogs, Spec fits in seamlessly—he's wonderfully passive, respectful of cues, and just wants to be everyone's friend. He’s also feline-approved, having peacefully lived with a cat in the past and passed his cat test with flying colors at Pet Haven. Spec’s favorite things include snuggling into piles of floofy blankets and soft pillows (fair warning: he will steal them all), finding the perfect sunny patch of grass to lounge in, and enjoying short, leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. He’s a big fan of couch cuddles and welcomes endless pets and ear scratches. As for treats, Spec has excellent taste—string cheese and small bits of peanut butter are his top-tier favorites. Spec is house trained and does great with having a room of his own while you're away, but he's not crate trained—and he’s made it clear he prefers it that way. He’s navigating some separation anxiety after the big change of losing his lifelong home, so he cannot live in a home with shared walls (no apartments/townhomes). As a senior pup, Spec does have some arthritis in his back legs and takes a daily pill to keep him comfortable. Spec presented with masses on his mouth and lips, which were partially debulked prior to entering our care. These masses have been diagnosed as cancerous but are currently localized to the oral region. Complete surgical removal would require partial jaw resection. Due to Spec’s age and the invasiveness of the procedure, Pet Haven has opted not to pursue this course of treatment. In light of these factors, Spec is being placed as a hospice adoption for a family to love and care for him as he lives out his golden years! Pet Haven is happy to discuss this care plan further with adopters! Spec is truly one of a kind. He’s the best boy, and he deserves the most loving companions to help him feel safe, cherished, and at peace in his golden years. If you’re looking for the best friend you could ever ask for, Spec is waiting for you. If you are interested in Spec, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $250. Vanna, Female
Pit Bull Terrier 3 years 2 months
Meet Vanna! Vanna is a certified cuddle queen with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She’s the ultimate velcro dog—she wants nothing more than to be by your side (or on your lap) 24/7. Loud snores, endless kisses, and hilarious “shadowing” behavior (yes, even in the bathroom) are all part of the package!
Vanna is fully house-trained, does okay in a crate (though she may whine at first), and settled into her foster home quickly. She has some separation anxiety and prefers a home where someone is around most of the time. For this reason, she’s cannot live in apartments or homes with shared walls. She loves stuffed animals (especially shredding them), playing fetch, chewing, and snuggling up for naps. She has a medium-to-high energy level and would thrive with a person who enjoys walks, hikes, or backyard ball-chasing sessions. When her exercise needs are met, she’s a total couch potato. Vanna’s social skills with other animals are still being evaluated. She can bark at dogs during walks when she’s not alone and may do best as the only dog or with a calm, respectful canine companion (particularly not another dominant female). She’s untested with cats but may have a tendency to chase. With kids, she’s been gentle with older ones in limited interactions but may be too enthusiastic for little ones at this stage. Vanna takes Benadryl for suspected allergies and continues to thrive with love and structure. She’s goofy, affectionate, a little needy, and 100% loyal. If you're looking for a best friend who will never let you go to the bathroom alone again, Vanna is your girl. If you are interested in Vanna, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $450. Atlas, Male
Shephard Mix Breed, 13 Weeks
Meet Atlas the Brave — First of His Name, Master of Mischief, and Seeker of Snacks (Now accepting owl post for adoption inquiries.) Straight from the wizarding world and into your Muggle home, Atlas may have been the runt of his litter, but like a certain boy who lived under the stairs, he’s never let that slow him down. At just 13 weeks old, this clever little Gryffinpup is already strutting through life like he’s got a Time-Turner tucked behind each floppy ear.
Don’t let his sweet face fool you—Atlas is a magical force to be reckoned with. First of his siblings to conquer the enchanted art of “sit,” this wizard-in-training now commands a growing list of spells: Sitius, Stayiarmus, Laydownia, Touchicus, Pawtrificus Totalus, and Spinorama! All learned faster than you can say “Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans.” His name suits him—like the ancient titan who held the heavens, this pup carries the courage of ten dogs. A natural-born explorer, Atlas bounds toward new adventures with the same boldness Harry showed flying a broomstick for the first time. Rolling toys? Consider them his golden snitch. Playtime growls? Think baby Simba meets miniature werewolf. He has energy to spare, and a fenced yard would be as welcome as a Quidditch pitch at Hogwarts. Now for his origin story—the stuff of legend. Born to a stray mum who tried to care for her babies while being too underweight herself, Atlas carries a few scars from those early battles. But here’s the twist: those scars are his superpower. Just like a lightning bolt on a certain forehead, they mark him as a survivor, a chosen one, and a reminder that even the tiniest among us can rise as heroes. Potty training? Practically mastered—he’s 99% there (yes, even without the help of a self-cleaning chamber pot). Crate trained and quickly learning what’s chewable and what belongs to the Ministry of Forbidden Nibbles. Atlas is exceptionally dog-friendly—always the first to greet new four-legged classmates with tail wags and cheerful barks. He’d love a fellow canine companion in his forever common room, though it’s not a requirement. While he may need gentle redirection with little witches and wizards (puppy teeth can be as sharp as a Basilisk’s glare), he’s quick to learn and eager to please. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to accompany you on your next great adventure—be it a walk through the Forbidden Forest (or, you know, the neighborhood park)—look no further. Atlas the Brave is ready to choose his wizard. Could it be you? If you are interested in Atlas, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $550. Eska, Female
Alaskan Malamute/Mix Breed, 15 Weeks
Eska is an 15-week-old, 22-lb. Malamute-Husky mix who is sweet and spunky! She is an independent, brave, easy-going, and somewhat aloof. And she loves to cuddle on her terms!
She loves exploring the yard, watching her humans in the pool, playing with all the toys and joining in puppy wrestling matches—especially if it means a surprise tackle! While she's mild mannered, she is also a little stubborn, sneaky and very clever. The puppies adjusted relatively quickly to their new foster home. Eska is currently pen-trained and 95% potty trained. She’s used to being crated for car rides and goes in and out of open crates at home. She's generally peaceful, but she has found her voice and will use it for the occasional howl. Because of this, she cannot live in a home with shared walls (no apartments/townhomes). She’s playful with other dogs and enjoys the company of dog-savvy kids. She loves the company of her 2 foster siblings--one full size husky and one Eska-sized terrier. Eska would benefit from a calm, confident dog in her forever home to continue modeling good manners, including reducing mouthiness with humans. She does not have experience with cats. Eska is a little escape artist, but does not require a fenced yard as long as she is leashed and supervised in open spaces. If you’re looking for a smart, loving, snow-loving pup to share your adventures (and your shady spots), Eska might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $550. Kavik, Male
Alaskan Malamute/Mix Breed, 12 Weeks
Meet Kavik—brave, bold, and bursting with personality! Affectionately known as Kavi, this 11-week-old Malamute-Husky mix is an adventurous soul with a lot to say about it. Whether he’s marching off on a solo mission to investigate something interesting in the yard or launching himself into a lively round of puppy play, Kavi dives into life headfirst. He’s the kind of pup who will look you straight in the eyes and give you his full, chatty opinion—and we promise, you’ll love hearing it!
Kavik is pen-trained, travels well in a crate, and is working on house training. He uses pee pads indoors and does his business outside when given the opportunity. He also goes in and out of open crates at home and is learning quickly with the help of treats and positive reinforcement. He may not be the first one back inside when playtime’s over, but that’s usually because he’s just finishing up one last exploration. He plays well with other dogs and would love a home with a friendly, confident canine companion to help him learn good manners (especially when it comes to his mouthiness). Once he’s ready to settle down, he enjoys affection and will happily lean in for pets and attention. Kavi is used to being around dog-savvy kids and does well with gentle, respectful interaction. He has not lived with cats. As a northern breed mix, Kavi thrives in cooler environments and will need access to shade and cool places to rest after play. He cannot live in homes with shared walls (no apartments or townhomes) due to his occasional howling, and a fenced yard will be required to manage his need for mental and physical stimulation. Kavi is scheduled for neuter surgery on July 19 and will be ready to head to his forever home shortly afterward. If you're looking for a puppy with a bold personality, Kavik is ready to meet you! If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $550. Boris, Male
Husky, 5years 2 months
Boris is a sweet-natured, high-energy Husky with a heart as big as his bounce. Rescued in rough shape after a serious dog bite injury, Boris has made a full recovery and is now living every moment with joy and enthusiasm. His foster named him "Boris" — a Russian name meaning “to fight or overcome” — and it fits him perfectly. Even in pain, Boris never lost his spirit or love for life.
He’s a classic Husky through and through: friendly, energetic, and a little bit goofy. He adores human attention, will lean into you for scratches, and lives for mealtime, car rides, and playing with dog friends. He enjoys meeting other dogs and loves to play vigorously. He cannot live with cats or other small pets. He also seems unaware of his size, so a home with children under 13 years old is not recommended. Boris adjusted well to his new foster home after he was given some structure. He is only vocal for short periods, so a home with shared walls may be possible. He is not crate trained but does well confined to the kitchen as his "space." Every morning he launches himself into the air with excitement while waiting for breakfast — it's as if his feet are on springs! For his future home, he will require a fenced yard because he is a flight risk. Boris began leash training in June. He is 85% awesome on the leash, 10% distractible puppy and 5% needs improvement. He is relatively easy to walk, even with a 2nd dog in tow. He enjoys two 30-minute jaunts each day, or an hour of running/playing enrichment will satisfy his daily exercise needs. Boris is a joyful, resilient, people-loving Husky who's eager for a fresh start. He needs a home with strong boundaries, daily structure, and lots of love. If you're ready to commit to his training and give him the active, enriching life he deserves, Boris will reward you with loyalty, laughter, and endless affection. If you are interested in Boris, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $450. Alice, Female
Great Dane/Labrador Retriever Mix, 8 Years 2 Months
Alice is a sweet, affectionate senior with the heart of a puppy and the soul of a best friend. True to her Great Dane roots, she’s a leaner—happiest when rubbing up against you for some loving or sneaking half her body onto your lap (yes, all 104 pounds of her). She’s calm and mellow most of the day, snoozing contentedly, but don’t let her age fool you—Alice perks right up when it’s time for a walk or a play session with a squeaky toy.
She gets along well with other dogs, though she may react to some on leash, especially smaller ones. She hasn’t been observed off-leash with small dogs and should not go to a home with cats. Alice is also a fan of people—especially women, which may be tied to her previous owner, an elderly woman she clearly adored. Alice adjusted easily to her foster home and has proven to be an easygoing and loyal companion. She’d thrive in a home where people are around often and where she doesn’t need to be crated too much. She might be eight, but Alice still has a lot of love, life, and joy to give. If you are interested in Alice, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $250. Oreo, Female
Pit Bull Terrier, 24 Weeks
Oreo is a happy, goofy, energetic puppy with a heart full of love and a wiggly pittie butt that never quits! She absolutely adores belly rubs, face kisses, and being near her humans. This sweet girl is already showing off how smart she is—she knows “sit,” “touch,” “look,” and is picking up on hand signals during walks. She's food-motivated and an incredibly quick learner!
She’s great with dogs and kids (especially the older ones), and though she has typical puppy zoomies, Oreo’s also learning how to chill. After a walk or play session, she’s content to flop down and relax. She enjoys tough chew toys and is a huge fan of her hard-plastic crab toy and squeaky things—just don’t expect her to bring them back! Oreo is crate-trained, quiet, and showing excellent leash manners for her age. While she’s not fully house-trained yet, she's improving quickly with consistency and will thrive with continued structure. She's had a great start to life, coming from a home that cared for her well, and she's adjusted effortlessly into her foster home. If you're looking for a bright, trainable, affectionate pup with a goofy grin and a heart of gold, Oreo is your girl. Penelope is the smallest of her litter, but don’t let her size fool you—this girl is full of spirit and spunk! She's a joyful, social little pup who adores being held, snuggled, and loved on. Penelope has a cute curly tail, makes excellent eye contact when cuddling, and often sits between your feet, sneakily licking your legs just to stay connected.
Though still learning the ropes when it comes to house-training, crate use, and leash skills, Penelope is eager to please and full of potential. She’s especially fond of squeaky toys, wrestling with her siblings, and running around the yard like a little whirlwind before crashing for a well-earned nap. Penelope is a confident, affectionate puppy who adjusted quickly to foster life and is thriving with structure and doggy companionship. She'd do best in a home with people who can spend lots of time with her or with another playful pup to show her the ropes and help burn off that endless energy. Penelope is ready to be your new best friend—with a little patience and a lot of love, she’s going to grow into a loyal, joyful companion. If you are interested in Penelope, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $550. Copper, Male
Coonhound, 8 years
Copper is a gentle, soulful hound with a heart as big as his classic bellow. At 8 years old, he still enjoys daily walks and outdoor adventures where he can follow his nose — just like a true hound should. Calm and affectionate, Copper was previously trained as an emotional support dog and knows a variety of impressive commands, including "heel," "play dead," and "pressure" (he'll lay across you to help soothe anxiety).
He's house-trained (he’ll give a polite bark when he needs to go out) and doesn't need to be crated — he's respectful in the home and enjoys lounging in quiet corners. Copper prefers a calm environment and would do best as the only dog or with another calm companion. He’s good with older kids and has lived with cats, though he’s a bit nervous around them at first. Copper is food-motivated (watch your countertops!) and absolutely loves sniffy walks. He’s content to spend time alone but appreciates a peaceful human presence, especially at night when he becomes a bed-snuggling pro. He’s looking for a quiet home with a fenced yard and understanding humans who will give him time to adjust and let his affectionate, silly personality shine. If you love hounds and their quirks, you’ll fall for Copper’s charm in no time. If you are interested in Copper, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $250. Cash, Male
Wirehaired Terrier/Hound Mix , 1 years 1 Month
Cash is a 1-year-old hound mix with a sweetheart personality and a rock-and-roll mohawk! Weighing in at 27 pounds, this sweet boy enjoys full-body rubs, dragging himself across the couch for scratches, and tossing carrots in the air to catch them himself. He's goofy, loyal, and loves to "talk" when he plays.
Cash is incredibly friendly and will gladly roll over for tummy rubs or relax into your arms. He's happiest when he's right by your side, soaking up attention—or wrestling with his doggy friends. He’s a social pup who thrives on playtime, especially with other dogs, so a resident dog will be required for his future home. Cash is house-trained and currently does best with a long leash (20 ft) for potty breaks while he continues to build confidence—this may not be necessary in a home with a fenced yard. He’s also crate-trained at night and settles in without a peep. During the day, however, he struggles with separation anxiety and needs someone who is home often and dedicated to helping him grow through structure and training. He will need a home without shared walls (no apartments/townhomes) while he's learning. Cash loves to play with other dogs! He is very calm when he meets dogs on the sidewalk, and good at waiting until the other dog is ready to intiate playing. He could play for hours and loves to wrestle. He has not had experience with cats or children while in our care, so a proper introduction is recommended. Cash loves chew toys, hunting for treats, and learning new things. He loves moments when he gets to run, but he is also fine with a short walk every day or some zoomies around the house. Cash would be a great match for an active home with someone ready to give him the attention and training he needs to thrive. He’s wild, scrappy, lovable, and so worth it. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who’s equal parts cuddlebug and playmate, Cash may be your perfect match! If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Daphne, Female
Pit Bull Terrier, 16 Weeks
Daphne is a 3.5–4-month-old female Pit Bull pup with short, dark brown fur and an adventurous spirit. Daphne is curious and bold — the kind of pup who doesn’t hesitate to explore the backyard or take a leap off a 2-foot wall if she sees something interesting!
She’s crate-trained and settles in happily for naps and bedtime. While she’s still working on house-training, she’s a quick learner and thrives with structure. Daphne gets along well with other dogs (she’s currently fostered with her sister, Delilah) and has shown calm curiosity around dogs outside the home. Her behavior around cats and kids is unknown, but with her young age and sweet nature, she has great potential with proper introductions and training. Daphne loves chewing on balls (though she hasn’t quite figured out the “fetch” part), wrestling with her sister, and soaking up belly rubs while lying in your arms like a baby. She’s not vocal, doesn’t bark when left alone, and so far hasn’t shown any separation anxiety — though as a young pup, she’ll need regular attention and potty breaks. She may benefit from a fenced yard as she grows, especially given her adventurous side, but she’s also learning to walk on a leash. Daphne’s energy needs are still puppy-level — she’s only awake a few hours a day and doesn’t require heavy exercise yet. If you’re looking for a fearless, loving, and cuddly pup to grow with your family, Daphne might just be your perfect match! If you are interested in Daphne, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $550. Delilah, Female
Pit Bull Terrier, 16 Weeks
Delilah is a 3.5–4-month-old female Pit Bull puppy with sleek dark brown fur and sweet white spots. Shy at first, Delilah warms up quickly and transforms into a playful, spirited pup who’s full of energy and curiosity.
This little firecracker lives for toys that squeak and loves bouncing all over the room with excitement. She’s also a big fan of wrestling with her sister, Daphne, and soaking up scratches from her humans. Delilah is crate-trained, sleeping through the night peacefully, and while she’s still working on house-training (she’s a baby, after all), she’s learning fast in a loving foster environment. Delilah has been fostered with her sister since intake, so she might need a little extra support when she eventually transitions to life without her built-in playmate. She’s had limited exposure to other dogs, kids, and cats — but hasn’t shown any signs of fear or aggression. Her leash skills are a work in progress, and while she might not require a fenced yard immediately, one could be beneficial as she grows into a high-energy adult. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate pup with a silly streak and lots of potential, Delilah is ready to bounce her way into your heart! If you are interested in Delilah, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $550. Mia, Female
German Shepherd/Doberman Pinscher Mix , 1 Year 1 Month
Mia is a 1-year-old Shepherd/Doberman mix who’s the perfect blend of athleticism, affection, and loyalty. At 60 lbs with a sleek, short coat and long, speedy legs, she’s built for adventure — and cuddles. While her deep, commanding bark might startle intruders, she’s truly a gentle soul who just wants to be close to her humans.
Mia is fully house-trained and crate-trained (though she prefers an open-door policy). She gets along well with other dogs, often showing mild interest or ignoring them entirely. Her reaction to cats is unknown. Inside, she’s calm and low-key; outside, she’s a powerhouse who could run forever and would thrive in a home with a large, securely fenced yard. A 6-foot chain-link fence has worked great for her foster home — she has no interest in jumping it. She’s up to date on all vaccinations and has been spayed. Mia enjoys watching the world go by from the front window and loves a good sprint across the yard. Loud noises can startle her occasionally, but she recovers quickly. She’ll bark when something catches her attention, but overall she’s not overly vocal — unless she’s on neighborhood watch! If you're searching for a loyal, loving, and athletic companion who will be your adventure buddy by day and cuddle partner by night, Mia is your girl. If you are interested in Mia, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $450. George, Male
Shepherd Mix , 15 Weeks
George is a fun-loving, energetic, and vocal puppy who adores people and always wants to be near his humans. He’s incredibly smart, food-motivated, and picks up on new things quickly. Like most puppies, he’s still learning the ropes—especially potty training—and currently uses pee pads and a pen setup.
Though not yet crate-trained, George is showing promise and settles in nicely with a long-lasting treat. He hasn’t had much interaction with other dogs or kids, so we’re still figuring out those dynamics. He’s not a good match for homes with cats, as he gets very excited and vocal around them. George had parvo early in life, so his socialization is a bit behind, but he's bouncing back strong and there's still plenty of time to help him thrive. He’s playful, loves chewing (especially on sticks), and his favorite game is tug—bonus points if you drag him around while playing! Loud noises aren’t his favorite, and he can be a bit vocal, but he’s managing alone time pretty well as long as he has something to chew. George is a high-energy pup who benefits from several short walks or active play sessions each day. He doesn’t require a fenced yard and does well in shared-wall housing, as he doesn’t bark for long periods when left alone. He’ll need continued training, socialization, and lots of patience—but with your time and commitment, George is sure to become a loyal and lovable companion. If you are interested in George, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $550. Maggie, Female
Australian Shephard/ French Bulldog Mix , 5 years 6 months
Maggie is a gentle, affectionate pup with a sweet soul and a whole lot of love to give. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and knows all the basics—sit, stay, shake, and even an impressively cute roll over! While she can have bursts of playful energy, her favorite thing is simply being near her person, whether lounging indoors or sunbathing while you garden.
Maggie gets along well with other dogs and has lived peacefully with several cats. She hasn’t spent time around children in her current or previous home, but based on her calm and friendly demeanor, she would likely do just fine. She goes for daily walks (which she loves!) and is excellent on a leash. Maggie is vocal at times—her bark is sharp and high-pitched—so she’s best suited for a home without shared walls. She may have come from a home with lots of animals (we’re told there was even a free-roaming snake!), but she’s adjusted quickly to her foster home and thrives with routine and attention. Maggie will make a loyal, loving companion to someone who appreciates both quiet moments and occasional goofy play. She’s the kind of dog who talks to you in silly whimpers, insists on lap time, and makes every day a little brighter. If you are interested in Maggie, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $450. Greg, Male
Shepherd Mix , 15 Weeks
Greg is a silly, playful, and affectionate pup who’s full of puppy charm and potential. He loves to play, chase sticks, and follow his people around—ear scratches are his absolute favorite. Greg is still working on potty training and crate training, but he’s young, food-motivated, and learning every day. He uses pee pads when free-roaming and is getting better at knowing where to go.
He had parvo early in life, so he missed out on some early socialization, but there's still plenty of time to build those skills. He’s barked at other dogs but hasn’t had many social experiences yet. With the right introductions, he may do well with a confident dog or cat in the home. Because of his mouthy, jumpy puppy behavior, he may be a bit much for small children right now. Greg isn’t overly vocal, though he may speak up if he’s scared or needs something. He handles alone time well and doesn’t bark excessively, making him okay for shared walls. Loud noises startle him, but he bounces back quickly. A few short walks or play sessions each day are enough to keep him happy and healthy. Greg is a typical growing puppy—he’ll need training, consistency, and lots of love. In return, you’ll get a loyal, loving best friend who greets you with joy and never wants to leave your side. If you are interested in Greg, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $550. Jackson, Male
Husky Mix , 11 Months
Jackson is an 11-month-old Husky mix and full of personality: he loves belly rubs, soft toys (especially stealing them from the other dog), and will snooze in the car after just a few minutes on the road. Weighing 64 pounds and still very much a puppy at heart, Jackson is a fun, loving, and incredibly smart companion who thrives on mental and physical activity.
Jackson is mostly house-trained and will let you know he needs to go out with a signature yip. He does best with regular potty breaks and close supervision for now. He’s crate-trained and sleeps there overnight, though he takes a little while to settle. He’s vocal in general, using barks and yips to communicate, so a home with no shared walls (no townhomes/apartments) will be required. He gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and people alike—including kids he’s met in public. Jackson lives peacefully with a resident dog and cat, and while he may bark at a cat when he wants to play, he knows how to share space respectfully. This charming boy is a quick learner who loves puzzles, tasks, and figuring things out. He loves gnawing on bones and hard chew toys/treats (but will settle for a toilet paper roll). He’s good on a leash outside, but with his high energy level, he’ll also require a securely fenced yard to run and play. Jackson has a slight limp from a previous car accident (he favors his front right leg), but it doesn’t slow him down and doesn’t require ongoing medical treatment. He’s a bright, happy boy who’s eager to please and ready to settle into a forever home! Are you ready for Jackson? If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Sir Robey, Male
Maltese/Poodle Mix , 8 years 6 Months
Sir Robey is an 8-year-old Maltese-Poodle mix who truly defied the odds! When he first arrived as a stray, he was emaciated and thought to be hospice, but with lots of love, he’s thriving with a heart as big as his comeback story!
Weighing just 14.5 pounds, Robey is a compact bundle of charm. He greets his people and visitors with pure joy, sometimes showing off his signature move—standing and dancing on his back legs for food or attention. He's easy to please—he loves belly rubs, gentle body massages, car rides, and even a few toys. While he does well with most dogs and lives with cats, a proper meet-and-greet is recommended. Because he can be a little skittish and may snap if touched in a way he doesn’t like, a home without young children will be required. Robey is house-trained, using potty pads indoors but also happy to go outside. His foster family trusts him to be left out in living room, so he does not have a lot of experience with crating. He has a low-to-medium energy level, enjoys walks, and romps around the yard but is just as content relaxing with his people. This resilient little gentleman is looking for a calm, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years with all the comfort and care he deserves. If you’re searching for a sweet and spunky companion, Sir Robey is ready for you! If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ The adoption fee is $250.
