Pet Haven’s central mission is to help end pet overpopulation. Pet Haven also supports spay/neuter efforts to help improve the long-term health and overall behavior of pets in homes. To back this commitment, our general policy is to not adopt out to homes with an intact dog. We do make exceptions (e.g., medical reasons) so that is why we ask for reasoning if a pet is not altered.
Veterinary Care: A conversation with your current veterinarian is part of Pet Haven's adoption process; please provide your clinic's contact information below. It is Pet Haven's expectation that our adopted animals will continue to receive routine veterinary care with their forever families. If you don't currently have a veterinarian, please provide the contact information for the clinic you plan to use for your new pet(s). New pet owners can visit WebMD (https://pets.webmd.com/choose-vet) for tips on choosing a veterinarian. We appreciate that vet care can be expensive. It's important to plan ahead and have a rainy day fund for unexpected vet care expenses.
