Mateo can't wait to meet you!

Mateo and his littermates were found shivering and hungry on the side of a Minnesota road at just 7 weeks- waiting for someone to swoop them to safety!

The finder took them in, but had no municipal shelter to call. Pet Haven stepped up, and in a matter of hours, we were on our way to save these pups. Little did they know the Puppy Bowl would be calling their name!

A litter of eight, they were underweight and without a mom. Pet Haven ensured they received quality medical care and were placed with experienced foster homes who could provide them with the socialization, love, and care they needed. Since then, Mateo and his siblings have been thriving!

Mateo is ready to meet his forever family! Growing bigger and braver every day, he is a young Lab-Shepherd-Husky "Minnesota Mix" puppy who is full of puppy pouncing antics. However, he is just as eager to curl up next to you for puppy cuddles. Mateois is ready to find a forever family who can provide him with all the things a growing puppy needs.

Founded in 1952, Pet Haven Inc. of Minnesota is incredibly proud to be the first foster-based rescue in Minnesota. It is our vision that all Minnesota pets have a safe and loving home. We achieve this vision through our mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats; reducing pet overpopulation by supporting spay and neuter efforts, and providing resources to people that help strengthen the human-animal bond through compassion, kindness, and respect.

At Pet Haven, we open our hearts and foster homes to many pets deemed unadoptable within the sheltering system. We take the time to properly rehabilitate each pet to ensure they can be the best pets they can be helping them adjust to a new well-loved life.
 
Pet Haven understands these transitions can sometimes be challenging for pets and people, so we are here to support our adopters every step of the way.  We want to ensure our adopted pets stay in their adoptive homes and never go back into the sheltering system.
