Dixie and a garage sale

Dixie and a garage sale

This cute little girl is looking for her forever home!

Hello! My name is Dixie, and I’m 10-years-young. I was dropped off at the shelter with my two pups, and we were separated. I recently had surgery, but am doing great. I’m very sweet and love walks. I weigh a solid 70 pounds, which I hear is a little much for a Border Collie, so I do need exercise every day (and an owner willing to measure the amount of food I get each day and to feed me only a few low calorie treats). I know a lot of commands and try really hard to please you — I tend to get really sad if I’m reprimanded. Oh, and I’m not a huge fan of hyper dogs; they scare me a little! I’m really excited to find my forever home though, so will continue to wait patiently!

Dixie is charming and so willing to please, she’d love to take obedience classes with you, go for walks and help you with your ‘getting fit’ healthy life-style program – just as you will help her with hers!  She says she is more than happy to be done with having puppies too.

Garage Sale News!

A Pet Haven volunteer will be hosting a garage sale in Bloomington on May 17, 18 and 19.

Can you help?

Do you have items to donate?  Donation receipts available.

Do you have items to donate?  Call 952-831-3825 to arrange a time.

Can you help mark items and arrange the weekend before?

Could you volunteer to help with sales for a longer or shorter shift one of the days of the sale?  We’ll need folks to help pull out items each morning and put them away at night, sort and pack and disperse leftovers at the end of the sale!

It’s a lot of work but all proceeds go to caring for the dogs and cats we rehome as well as to our spay and neuter subsidy client surgeries.

We need you!
