Announcing the Pet Haven Rescue Brew Spokesmodel Contest

We’re on the prowl for a very special cat and dog to be the face of Minnesota’s rescue community. Could it be yours?

Pet Haven of Minnesota has teamed up with Dual Citizen Brewing to celebrate dogs and cats and the people who love them with Minnesota’s first-ever Rescue Brew Spokesdog and Spokescat contest to help save more lives!

We hope to raise $25,000 and have a lot of fun doing it! Funds raised will go to our emergency medical care fund The Phoenix Fund

The dog and cat who capture the most votes will have their names and images featured on Dual Citizen’s limited edition Rescue Brew beer, released in mid-August. Our Spokesmodel winners will have a chance to take a bow and mingle with their adoring fans at a Rescue Brew release party at Dual Citizen Brewing on Thursday evening, August 12. If your pet is an introvert we are happy to welcome their representative!

The free outdoor celebration will feature live music on the Dual Citizen patio and a food truck. Be sure to mark your calendars and join us for this summer celebration of our contest winners and Minnesota’s amazing animal rescue community.

The contest fund-raiser kicks off on July 6, 2021, and ends on August 2, 2021. Participation is easy — just upload your favorite photo and tell us why your dog or cat is the puurrfect Spokesdog or Spokescat to represent Pet Haven and Minnesota’s rescued pets! Your $10 entry fee also buys you 5 votes for your pet. To view our competitors and cast your votes, just click on ‘view entries’. Each vote is $1.

GRAND PRIZE:

The one dog and one cat with the highest number of votes when our contest ends will be our Rescue Brew spokesmodel duo, appearing together on Rescue Brew Crowlers. They’ll also receive a $25 Dual Citizen gift card, a $75 Chuck and Don’s gift card, and a commemorative Rescue Brew Crowler. The winning cat will also receive a subscription to Meow Box- a monthly box full of assorted cat toys and treats. Meowza!

The winning dog will get pampered at Dogs Day Out and 3 days of complimentary daycare at Downtown Dogs! WOW!

SECOND AND THIRD PLACE PRIZES:

The dog or cat to capture the second-highest number based on total votes will receive a 6-month MeowBox or Barkbox subscription and a commemorative Rescue Brew Crowler.

The dog or cat in third place based on the total number of votes will receive a $50 gift card from Chuck and Don’s and a commemorative Rescue Brew Crowler.

All winners will receive a Pet Haven Rescue Brew T-shirt.

How it Works
Ready to enter your pet’s photo and tell the world why they would rock as a spokesmodel? It’s easy. Just click on the ‘Sign In’ button to create an account, then upload a photo and tell us why in 75 words or less (no pressure) your pet is the absolute best choice to be one of this year’s Rescue Brew spokesmodels. Remember, your $10 entry fee also buys your pet’s first 5 votes.

Once your pet’s entry is submitted, be sure to share the contest link with friends and family and encourage them to vote! Every $1 vote goes to not only help your pet win but make a difference in the lives of homeless dogs and cats and support the Pet Haven Mission- so we’re encouraging everyone to vote early and vote often.

Pet Haven rescued, rehabilitated, and re-homed 845 pets last year. More than half of these pets needed non-standard medical care or behavioral support. Our medical bills in 2020 were over $250,000. We want to help more pets in need and you can help by supporting our contest and getting your friends and community involved!
