“I’ve attached several photos of Maison so that you can choose (well, in reality, I’m that mom who has a million pictures of her boy because she thinks he’s the most beautiful boy in the world and couldn’t narrow it down!). You probably noticed that I’ve added an ‘i’ to his name–still pronouncing it the same, but in french the word means ‘home’ which I just thought was really fitting given that he was a stray and now has found his forever home. In those early few weeks when I was really concerned that we weren’t going to make it through, it helped me remember all that he had been through in leaving his last home, and it helped me to be more patient! Wow, has he come a long way! I think he’s found the good life!

He still LOVES to chew on a bone (that’s what he’s doing right now), and he loves to play with toys, dogs, people. He loves to snuggle, too, and has been working his way (somewhat successfully!) toward the pillow on the bed at night! His nose rules his world and he’s incredibly focused outside–rabbit sightings are a top for him! I’m not sure if he’d rather be chewing a bone or sniffing outside, he loves it all–but I think he’d always choose to be with his human (me!) in whatever he’s doing. And, he has been diligently working on adding to his circle of friends–both canine and human! He’s been looking out the window all these months watching other dogs run around, so I can’t wait to see how happy he’ll be when he gets his own backyard for us to play in together!”
