November is Minnesota’s biggest giving month. I am so inspired every year to see the outpouring of love and generosity our community shows to Pet Haven and other important non-profits. From the awareness Give To The Max brings to nonprofits, Pet Haven is able to increase our impact through the generosity of giving. This Generosity Creates Ripple Effects.

We all see firsthand the ripple effects of Pet Haven’s work.  I know you see it every day. Whether you foster and feel it firsthand or see the stories on our social media pages. It’s not just about a rescue or a simple adoption transaction.  It’s about dramatically changing the lives of those pets we save and the people those pets have touched. It’s about building strong bridges to relationships, creating lasting families, and truly fostering love. 

Together we make a very important life-changing impact in the lives of the thousands of animals we have saved. Without us, these pets would not be here today safe, warm, and loved.

What does that impact look like?

In the last 4 years together, as of November 10th, we have saved 3,960 Minnesota pets through our active foster care program.

In the last 4 years together, as of November 10th, we have created 3,725 families through our thoughtful adoption program.

This is a call to action for the pets we have currently in our care and all the future pets that will need us in 2024.

Why is Supporting Pet Haven important?

• Because Minnesota Pets desperately need somewhere safe to go when there are no other options for them. 765 Minnesota pets have come through our doors this year. 
• Because Minnesota shelters are overcrowded and turning pets away. Pets and people need help. Pet Haven is a safety net for pets in crisis.
• Because Pet Haven has 71 years of experience in the animal welfare industry leading the way for others to follow and knowing instinctually when it is time to pivot to have a broader impact
• Because we extend our help to other rescue organizations by providing spay/neuter services, food, temporary housing, and support thus saving and changing even more lives than just pets coming into Pet Haven.
• Because we have the professionalism of service that the 71 years of experience bring and the dedication of our passionate volunteers who consistently rise to excellence
• Because we have longevity in the field of animal welfare and advocacy, our community of volunteers, fosters, adopters, partners, and donors trust our work.
• Because our experience gives us insight into best practices for our animals’ care, emotional health, and well-being.
• Because we know just how important thoughtful match-making is. We want to ensure both adopter and pet are set up for success and are a compatible match thus reducing pets being returned and improving the human-animal bond. Our return rate is under 3% (a considered successful industry standard is 10%.)  
• Because if a pet needs to come back to Pet Haven our door is always open to them. Once a Pet Haven pet always a Pet Haven pet.
